True, because they were Star Wars.  And Mass Effect 3 is going to sell well too.  But George Lucas's reputation has suffered quite a bit, to the point where he's now a frequent example of how hubris can turn an excellent writer into a joke.

Translation, he can make and sell Star Wars, but not as well as before, and good luck if he tries to sell anything else.

Lucas' problem was less hubris and more being a stupid **** who forgot that he was writing prequels until the 3rd, then couldn't patch everything up.

and sometimes you have to find who your true fans are............sometimes you need to have people leave the wagon.

A lot of fans just want stagnantion and BW doesn't want to do this anymore.

Yeah, you didn't major in business, I'm guessing.

Hey, look on the dark side. Depending on how it all goes down, you might not be able to sleep well for weeks.

And where did you get the 90% from anyway? Also, you do not know, a lot of less vocal fans may LIKE the ending.

Also appealing to die hard fans can limit your expansion and growth, you can't get by appealing to the same fans over and over.

Gosh, I bet I'm not a fan:

KOTOR (PC)
Jade Empire (Xbox)
Jade Empire (PC)
Mass Effect (360)
Mass Effect (PC)
Dragon Age Origins (360)
Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition (PC)
Mass Effect 2 with all DLC (360)
Mass Effect 2 with all DLC (PC)
Dragon Age 2 (PC)

Nope, not a fan *anymore.*

I wish Lucas wasn't defined by Star Wars and Indiana Jones. To me, his greatest film has always been American Graffiti. It's a magnificent examination of coming of age at the end of an era, with a lovely soundtrack, great cars, and a bunch of really talented actors. One of the best period pieces anyone has ever done.

more and more pages of people judging with no context whatsoever...gotta love BSN.

You're still up, trolling this thread in order to contribute every few pages with a condescending comment?  Whatever gets you off, dude.  The point is, I'm sure the endings will make sense, in context, and I know that the people who have played through have been satisfied.  And I'll probably enjoy the endings and the game itself; I'll reserve judgment of that sort until after I've played it.  But, assuming the leaks are true and these are the only endings, something I was looking forward to, which was an ending with Shepard living out the aftermath of the war with his LI or at least his friends, won't happen, and I'm a little disappointed.  You want to criticize that, go ahead, it certainly doesn't make anyone feel any better.

they don't care how anyone feels , as long as they get to stroke thier bw idols.

yeah seriously....look at Tali, she is my fave character in the series, but fans just ruin her...

If these endings are true, this will be the first BW game where a character and his or her LI do not get to be together in the end in all outcomes. Even the bleak DA2, Hawke and the LI rides off in the sunset. Bioware NEEDS to break their cliches, which old school fans do not get. In fact Bioware was criticized for being too cliched, especially after DAO's release. Just keep filling the Hellforge Bioware Cliche Chart......

Bioware needs an ending like this if its well executed.

Yes, a company "needs" to alienate 90% of the fans of a beloved series.  Look how well it worked for Star Wars.

Agreed. If the rumor of Sheppard begin SOL after saving the galaxy is true, then Bioware has a EPIC FAIL tag for ME over all.

I honestly dont know what i will do once i finish ME3. If the ending is as bad as they say it is, i will have zero desire to replay it.

Spend a week getting the so-called ''best'' ending, then find another game to play. Or just go back to SWTOR.

It was good, it really was, but I still prefer his Star Wars trilogy.

For the last time, this is not life, this is a game. I don't play games to get a dose of realism, I play them to escape from it.

Damn straight, if I wanted to be depressed I would watch a free doc on Darfur on PBS. Not pay $60 for a game that will only make me angry and depressed.

It'd be better if Anderson was with Shepard when he gets stranded at the end. They could sit in a cabin as everything burned around them, pass around a bottle of whiskey, and freeze to death, satisfied that they destroyed this Thing known as the reaper invasion. However, each has lingering doubts that the other might have been indoctrinated or someThing.

I GOT IT!  Haha.. got a good laugh out of it too.

Those better not be the true endings. If they are, then EA is an evil genius that has taken trolling to the next generation. It's a plan that's been in the making for 5 years now. I half expect the CEO of EA to deliver an evil monologue and close it with, "and do you know why I did it all? Because F**K YOU, THAT'S WHY!!!"

In a sense I can agree; Star Wars is incredibly imaginitive and was huge in scope. Star Wars is more ambitious for sure, but I just thought AG had a ton of heart. It's a movie that speaks to me on a more personal level.

BS! People are just asking for one ending that lets Sheppard be together with the LI.  If Bioware can't put an ending like that into the game then thats unforgivable.
