Ive seen someone make a good point too that when shep is talking to Child Thing he/she is no longer wearing his/her armor, meaning its in his/her head. And the definition of crucible and catalyst are also pretty defining evidence for the hallucination idea.

My only problem with this though...is why would Bioware deliberately hold back and charge for the real ending? That would be ridiculous. What would be even more ridiculous is that at this point I'd probably actually pay..

BioWare won't comment yet because not everybody has completed the game. One of there community managers said they can't spoil it for everyone.

I think I am going to buy the hallucination ending as well. In ME2 they talk about the whispers you can never really hear. That is what those damn dream sequences are like. You hear the whispers, but you never really hear what they are saying. I think it would be an awesome move by bioware if this is actually what happened and they locked the real ending so it would not be leaked or spoiled. That is also probably why they were not so pissed when these endings were leaked. As long as they do not wait very long to release the real ending, like maybe another week or two, they are geniuses, if they wait to long I am going to super pissed.

I loved the conversation with Sovereign in ME1, the fact that you dont even have any dialogue with reapers or Harbinger. Well there is one random reaper. When Harbinger was coming down, I thought I finally got to talk to the reapers or something. Get some insight on why. I really did not forsee this direction Bioware took. Its nowhere near what I had in my mind.

well if they are going to bring DLC out they better do it soon so i can finish this for the most part grate game I want the CHANCE and CHOICE for a happy ending not this dark death no matter what you do rubish.

Aw, come on. This Hallucination/Indoctrination thing is a wish. It won't fit the whole marketing and even if is true, it would be even more sad that the whole Mass Effect Series was a fairy tale.

I don't mean comment as in make a huge PSA about it. If one of the mods or devs posts something along the lines of "we're working on something to do with the ending" in the spoiler section then I really can't see how that might effect people who havent completed the game.

Not necessarily, if this proves true and we have no ending, then there is hope bioware will release an actual ending if survive the supposed indoctrination process.

The news is bouncing on sites around the world... Bioware would certainly not be doing spoiler ... is that they do not know what to say, never imagined a big reaction.

If you have captions on you actually hear some of the voices and even who speaks them is written. I believe one in my last dream was Kelly Chambers asking why I didnt save her.

Without a better ending than what we've got? There won't be any ME4. And even if there was, I wouldn't buy it. I've been waiting since ME2 for this game...I preordered it the day preorders came out, and intended to buy every bit of DLC for it the same as I have for the previous two...now? Now I won't be spending another dime on any Bioware products, be it games, DLC, books, or anything else, until such time as actually good endings (at least one!) for ME3 are out...

At this point im not buying into anything. The whole dream/hallucination thing just seems too *nuts* to do this way. But who knows. I just want to hear a reaction from BW. Then we can go from there.

Happy ending or the ME4 at the same world. ME4 with new species will not be ME realy.

How is the whole series a fairy tale? The theory states that after the beam Shepard is fighting indoctrination. Which explains the bizarreness of having a pistol with unlimited ammo, a perfectly mirrored world, a secret morbid hallway in the citadel, and much more oddities. All in all the end of the game makes no sense at all and why would bioware after all this choice throughout the series pull the plug at the last ten minutes it doesn't make sense does it? So there is some merit to the theory after all.

Yeah, after getting all this evidence for the hallucination theory, it would only make it sadder if it wasn't true. Bioware gave us this ridiculously strange, inconsistent (at times implausible), mirrored world of mystery... because they ran out of money/got lazy?
This theory, I have to admit, gives me a great deal of hope.

I am getting a bit suspicious at the almost complete lack of anything from Bioware. I mean, look at this thread...no replies from staff at all? Not even a "we're listening to your comments" or a "we're sorry you feel this way, but..."?

You know you wrote a bad ending when "It was all a hallucination" fills more plotholes than it creates. Where was the Normandy and how did your ground squad get there? Why are there no other ships around it that we can see? How did Anderson get onto the Citadel? Why on earth should we take the Catalyst at face value when the games have hinged on refusing to accept the limits other people set for you? How, if you chose the Destroy ending and had the requisite score, did Shepard fall from the Crucible and survive? And what, for crying out loud, were the galactic implications of Shepard's choice? All we see of the future is the grandfather and child. So apparently your crew managed to populate a colony (Yeah, that doesn't just raise a thousand shades of "Jacob loyalty mission") and the rest of the galaxy is... what? We are not shown anything. That is not leaving it up to the imagination of the player; it is poor storytelling. I'm appalled.

I know all these questions have been raised several thousand times over in this thread alone, but I have so many problems with how this narrative was shoe-horned into a bunch of fluffy pseudo-cyberpunk nonsense. It's just so... amateur. Honestly, I don't see how DLC can save this game. I will be seriously irritated if they try to sell me an ending that makes sense, but I might just take it anyway. As it stands, I never want to play a Mass Effect game again. I don't see the point. It was so beautiful until you woke up by the beam.
