Well congratulations on MP being fun. I didn't buy the game for MP, not in the slightest, it's like the frosting on a five story tall cake, good but not my main focus. I bought the game for SP and to see how the story ended, if I wanted an FPS Horde mode MP game I'd go play Gears Of War, yes? Sorry but the MP is a cop-out.

Agreed.

The choices could determin if we live or die or get indoctrinated.
Live but retire... end up as a boss to kill or a body to collect and have a memorial.

That would also mean that we don't really know what the Crucible does..

reminds me of Breath of  Fire 4: at the end it was possible for you to become the final boss except you didn't fight with the rest of the group but stay the hero and had to kill your group.

Sorry if this question has been asked (I've read much of this thread, but certainly not all!)

I know it's only early days yet, but how does this reaction compare with the DA2 reaction?

I pre-ordered DA2 and played it. While I definitely did not enjoy it, but did not feel passionate enough to post on forums about it, so I was pretty out of the loop at the time about how other people felt about it.

My reason for asking is the same people who spin-doctored the fan reaction to that game will be spin-doctoring this game too.

I don't understand why they did this.  Every ending completely disregarded our whole mission, our whole character, our whole playthrough.  To the "Guardian" talking about how synthetics CAN'T get along with humans, how the hell does that explain EDI?  An awaked MILITARY VI, meant to FIGHT falls in love with an ORGANIC.  How can Bioware tell us a wonderful story and then not listen to it themselves?

I also don't understand how they could do this.  Bioware has always been excellent at conclusions.  All they needed to do was give me a Dragon Age 1/Baldur's Gate ending.  Tell me what became of the world and my teammates after we had succeded, I would be satisfied.

Alas, stay strong BSN, they can take our Love Interests, they can take our ship and our choices, but they can never take our angry forum posts.

I'm becoming more and more depressed as each day passes without word from BioWare.

This sucks.

Edit: Why wasn't that Anderson dialog put into the game?! Depression +24

BUAAARRRGGGGWWWW!!!!

I'm still depessed and angry and now I'm sad again from hearing this. Why did they cut this?! Now everytime I hear Anderson in my head he sounds so much better then in the game...Note to self: may be a sign of emotional scaring...

Why?! Why?! Why couldn't THIS have been the true ending!? I'm crying again just from listening to that...

@JessicaMerizan Question: With all the negative feedback about the ME3 ending is Bioware going to acknowledged it, or just leave it be?

@TheSqueaky we are listening and remaining spoiler free for now as many have not played yet.

You should ask different question like when are they going to say something

It's not me, i just picked up on her Twitter.

I just asked this:
I understand you are remaining spoiler free for now, but what's the time frame on hearing something? A week? Two weeks?

Blud. They can take our LI's, they can take our ship, our choices, even our Shepard's life and yes they can take our angry forum posts too. But we stay strong because they can't take our right, if it comes down to it, to walk to the damned studio and protest them until they are FORCED to change it, to give us what we so deserve, what we ache to have and what we know they can do. They can't take from us our right to protest at every major game launch they have...This is a fight they cannot win if we stay strong and hold firm to our beliefs and ideals.

It would have killed people with sadness? In all reality it might have been a time thing. . . Though I'm not sure..

Guys don't worry, there's another DLC ending. The Shepard alive ending shows him waking up on Earth, he was in the Crucible. There's no way he fell from space and lived.

If they add content after that ending where you see Shepard breathe, it would mean you can only play after making a Renegade choice.. Whatever that means at that point, I didn't think the Paragon choice was any good, making the Reapers go away so they can come back in the next cycle? :?

The ending just makes no sense at all. It's full of plot holes. I am OK with Relays getting destoryed/Shepard dying and all that drama but everything else is BS.
So the Ghost Kid controling the Citadel is a Reaper, then why the hell they needed Sovereign in Mass Effect 1 to open the Relays or something, they just could do it right away.
Also I didin't get this, in the final run, my companions was Garrus and Ashley, then explosion occurred and it killed most of the people around, all of sudden Garrus and Ashley dissapeared, and in the ending scene Ashley was on Normandy, how?
What was Normandy doing with the Mass Relay anyway? Normandy was near Earth, how they ended up there and WHY?
They didin't explained us anything, who created the Reapers in the first place?

And Normandy ending up straded like that, I have no comment on this. I just hope when Relay got destroyed they time-traveled into the future/past so we can see them in another ME game, and I don't think that they gonna listen to us, so they won't make DLC to fix the endings.

This has been much, much stronger than the initail reaction to DA2. The problem with comparing the two is that the DA2 reaction also included major technical problems with the game (scenes triggering out of order, etc..) so it wasn't JUST focused on the content. Plus, everything sort of balloned after Laidlaw and the lead writer started conversing with the fans/giving interviews on the reaction.

Overall though, this has still been way bigger as it rightfully should. Bioware still has a chance to fix the DA franchise with DA3. For Mass Effect, unless Bioware does something, a lot of people will no longer hold the trilogy in such high regards (myself included). All over the last 5 minutes of the trilogy.

I'm just going to post this here for posterity, because I know this is exactly what's going to happen, and I want it on record.

When BioWare finally does issue a statement about all this, the only thing they will address is that it's not a happy ending. They will go on and on about "It's war, and people die," and "A story like this wasn't going to have a happy ending," and paint everybody complaining about this as just whiners who wanted their Shepard and favorite bed partner to get together and be happy at the end.

They will ignore the bad plot holes, the tortured logic, the hideous writing, and just address it on a level of "Well, you didn't like the ending because it wasn't the one you hoped for, but there was no way we could please everybody, so sorry."

Mark my words, it's what's coming.

I fully expect that to happen, however, it would be a complete lie. They could have reasonably please everyone in some way by simply tying the ending to your galactic readiness status.

-Above a certain number: Everyone takes heavy casulties but the reapers are destroyed. Shepard and his/her squad lives.

-Below a certain number: The forces in the battle are completely decimated with potentially some species being wiped out. Reapers are still defeated but Shepard and his/her entire squad die.

-In between those two: Some middle ground between the above two.

IMO, this would have given MOST of the fanbase at least a bit of what they wanted (except for those who wanted specific LI endings, but any reasonable person wasn't looking for that anyway). So if they preach that then I'm sure A LOT of people will be calling BS.

In the end though, you're probably right about what they'll say. Shame.

LI ending would of been grate but I never expected it I did however expect this or something like it and if they put something like this in I will be happy

Yeah, right there with you. Even dream woods-heaven-afterlife with everyone else who died would've made me happy.

Our Wardens got to be happy for a time, after all the sacrfices.. why not Shep?

Bioware have shown that they have no problem with defying set down rules. Take the mass relays for example. In arrival one explodes and a solar system is wiped out, in this the whole network explodes at what? Glowy blue lights and a grenade sized explosion.
