Sorry if this question has been asked (I've read much of this thread, but certainly not all!)
I know it's only early days yet, but how does this reaction compare with the DA2 reaction?
I pre-ordered DA2 and played it. While I definitely did not enjoy it, but did not feel passionate enough to post on forums about it, so I was pretty out of the loop at the time about how other people felt about it.
My reason for asking is the same people who spin-doctored the fan reaction to that game will be spin-doctoring this game too.
This has been much, much stronger than the initail reaction to DA2. The problem with comparing the two is that the DA2 reaction also included major technical problems with the game (scenes triggering out of order, etc..) so it wasn't JUST focused on the content. Plus, everything sort of balloned after Laidlaw and the lead writer started conversing with the fans/giving interviews on the reaction.
Overall though, this has still been way bigger as it rightfully should. Bioware still has a chance to fix the DA franchise with DA3. For Mass Effect, unless Bioware does something, a lot of people will no longer hold the trilogy in such high regards (myself included). All over the last 5 minutes of the trilogy.
