Guys don't worry, there's another DLC ending. The Shepard alive ending shows him waking up on Earth, he was in the Crucible. There's no way he fell from space and lived.

If they add content after that ending where you see Shepard breathe, it would mean you can only play after making a
Renegade choice.. Whatever that means at that point, I didn't think the Paragon choice was any good, making the Reapers go away so they can come back in the next cycle? :?

I think it's him waking up from Harbingers laser.

Still the Renegade choice. You don't see that ending after you get disintegrated..

Meh, it makes no sense. If they wanted to give alternate endings, they should have done it in the original game, not like this.

I don't mean to fuss, but doesn't it bother you that the synthesis solution involves a single pulse of "energy" installing complex hardware into every single living thing in the galaxy instantaneously?

The catalyst said something about creating a new form of DNA. I didn't really view it as the energy beam grafting hardware onto all organic life but more just altering the genetic information. I admit it does look like everyone has circuits on them but I just wrote that off as a visual cue to the ending you chose. There's quite a few things in this game that are hard to imagine like how the Rachni can communicate instantaneously without using quantum entanglement. X-rays can damage your DNA, I guess this green beam can cause it to incorporate different elements.

Anyways, I was just saying out of the existing endings, I like that one the best because it would end the threat of AI destroying organic life.

If new endings were introduced, I'd like to be able to convince the Catalyst that he's wrong about AI eventually destroying organic life and that AI and Organic life can co-exist peacefully as is. The fact that you can convince the geth and quarians to work together and you can become friends with EDI supports this. The Reapers could then change their programming. The mass relays would remain intact.

Then I'd like a cutscene showing the Geth, Quarians, Krogan and Rachni with new seats on the Galactic Council since they all worked together to stop the Reaper threat.

The closing scene should be Shepard doing his club dance.

Well, first of all, I'm assuming that all the non-Earth species in the Galaxy don't share "DNA" the way we do, or at least they don't have the genetic 4-letter code. And it's clear this "synthesis" affects all organic life, regardless of its origin. Also, I don't care how much you "alter" DNA, you cannot get cells to suddenly create metal alloys and circuits and wiring within a body. Not instantly, not without, at the very best, a long excrutiatingly painful process.

http://en.wikipedia....ganic_computing

Maybe it would just introduce the capability to produce new neurons capable of performing calculations at the same level as AI. I agree that no matter what it's a stretch.

I'd also rather just be able to say the Catalyst is wrong and that AI and organic life can co-exist peacefully.

You're not the only one

WHY THIS WAS CUT FROM THE GAME???????

The rage is coming back! :pinched:

BUAAARRRGGGGWWWW!!!!

I'm still depessed and angry and now I'm sad again from hearing this. Why did they cut this?! Now everytime I hear Anderson in my head he sounds so much better then in the game...Note to self: may be a sign of emotional scaring...

Why?! Why?! Why couldn't THIS have been the true ending!? I'm crying again just from listening to that...

My god,  manly tears out of nowhere....I love 99% of this game sooooo muuuuch.

It's that last 1%, that last five minutes, that makes us angry.

Why on earth was that cut, just makes no sense.

Got something to look forward to then, I'm only at 24 hours now :( Worst thing is I cant make myself play anything right now, which is always the case after a good game, but this ending made it worse.

I feel like I might be a little late to the party because I only beat the game last night, but I know I'm not alone in saying I've spent an obscene amount of time in the ME universe only to have this be how all turns out. Every game in the series was an amazing ride, but the ending cheapened it beyond belief. I had trouble falling asleep last night, and trouble getting out of bed this morning. I didn't know what to feel when the end credits started rolling and I still don't. I loved ME more than any other franchise I've ever been drawn into, and ME3 was for me the perfect game; the perfect universe. That's really saying a lot for someone who has always been drawn to worlds more akin to LOTR or Conan. Then I was told the Citadel was a ghost child or some ****, and that your ending has no chance of being a good one. Bioware says they don't want to address the issue yet, because they don't want to spoil it for people who haven't beaten the game yet. Well I know one thing its spoiled for me, and from the looks of it, all of you as well.

What I thought we were getting, what I hoped we were getting, was a varaity of endings ranging from the Reapers winning to Shepard wins and lives happily ever after with his/her LI.  Now I didn't expect that the happy ending would be easy to get, but I was hoping to at least have the chance.  My Shepard would have sacrificed herself in a second if was the only way to stop the Reapers, but didn't she at least deserve a chance?  I know that fighting the reapers is supposed to be an alomost impossible task, but Shepard has made a habbit out of doing the impossible.

The endings as they stand though leave me confused and unsatisfied.  I want closure, over the las 5 years I've come to care about what happens to these characters and I would like some resoulition.

I know that this is Bioware's game, and maby I'm feeling a little bit entiled, but I do feel cheated.

I think it's because on twitter you're allowed to voice your own opinion on the matter, however as community manager you can't just go say anything about this just yet.

I'm just going to post this here for posterity, because I know this is exactly what's going to happen, and I want it on record.

When BioWare finally does issue a statement about all this, the only thing they will address is that it's not a happy ending. They will go on and on about "It's war, and people die," and "A story like this wasn't going to have a happy ending," and paint everybody complaining about this as just whiners who wanted their Shepard and favorite bed partner to get together and be happy at the end.

They will ignore the bad plot holes, the tortured logic, the hideous writing, and just address it on a level of "Well, you didn't like the ending because it wasn't the one you hoped for, but there was no way we could please everybody, so sorry."

Mark my words, it's what's coming.

I fully expect that to happen, however, it would be a complete lie. They could have reasonably please everyone in some way by simply tying the ending to your galactic readiness status.

-Above a certain number: Everyone takes heavy casulties but the reapers are destroyed. Shepard and his/her squad lives.

-Below a certain number: The forces in the battle are completely decimated with potentially some species being wiped out. Reapers are still defeated but Shepard and his/her entire squad die.

-In between those two: Some middle ground between the above two.

IMO, this would have given MOST of the fanbase at least a bit of what they wanted (except for those who wanted specific LI endings, but any reasonable person wasn't looking for that anyway). So if they preach that then I'm sure A LOT of people will be calling BS.

In the end though, you're probably right about what they'll say. Shame.

LI ending would of been grate but I never expected it I did however expect this or something like it and if they put something like this in I will be happy

What I don't understand is when they say: Not everybody will be happy with the endings.
Why not? I mean this is the last game with shepard so they can let the whole story end however they please. Of course it's not possible to make every single person happy but they could have at least made enough endings (very happy ones, cryptic ones, bad ones) so that everyone can choose what suits him/her best. (That's the basic Idea of an interactive game: to make decisions that influence the outcome not to reduce everything to three paths.
Maybe we shouldn't have stopped the reapers at all. More luck in the next cycle.

Everybody is talking about a 'brighter' ending, sure I would like the opportunity for one, but I would be 100% happy with a well thought out, extremely well presented, non-plot whole ridden and questions answered ending where Shepard dies. Scenes like that are often better, more memorable and far more moving than a 'happy' ending.

It's the unanswered questions and the lack of impact my choice had on the galaxy, because at the end of the day... I'm not sure if Wrex, Grunt, Vega, Ashley, Tali survived... I only saw Joker, Liara and Javik in the end cutscene. And I don't like that regardless of my choice, they end up stranded, no more reaper threat, and the mass relays were destroyed along with the citadel.

Thank you, Rob. Please keep us up to date, we will get new endings at this rate and knowing when there going to comment in a relative time frame will at least give us all something to pray for, some sort of good news.

That type of ending where she dies but we get it explained is nice. But a lot of people just want the CHOICE to have a happy ending and we should be entitled to it, they said there would be multiple endings, not one with slightly varied flavor of color. Thats what has most people up in arms, most of us knew not to expect a happy ending and if there was one, to expect multiple play throughs to achieve it. Which I'd be fine with I'd even endure the crappy endings if I knew after 5 play throughs, I'd get that "Good" ending.

And the fact that they are somehow far away from the battle? Doesn't seem like them to betray everything thay have fought for in the past 3 years.

As much as I hope there will be, there simply will not be an ending DLC. At least not until sales start tanking and even them still not a strong possibility. Simply because of pride. Nobody likes to admit mistakes and when you have people thinking they're God's gift to video game producers it doesn't get easier to admit you miscalculated. They will simply tell themselves "the fans don't get our creative genius" and leave it at that.

In reality the ending was forced to set the stage for the coming MMORPG. If you had "wildly different endings" as promised they would have to think of some other means to shoehorn everyone into the same starting point and judging by what they went with, they came up blank.

This whole "if you knew what we had planned you'd keep your copy" is nothing but a desperate plea for people to not sell back their ME3 games because that would raised used inventory and cannabilize new sales. Don't be fooled twice.
