Bioware must be getting nervous right now.

Instead of Kataku's BS.

IGN ftw.

Is this a blog from an IGN employee or just a fan with an IGN account?

WHY THIS WAS CUT FROM THE GAME???????

The tears. They wont stop. ;___;

Wow.

I.... I thought I couldn't rage anymore. I just did.

I heard FemShep's version of this somewhere this morning, and died even more inside.  She sounded so defeated and hopeless... just... ALL MY FEELS. ;__;  to both of them.

Jesus-H-Christ. Why?

I am pretty sure this was not cut.  It was only there if you "saved" Anderson.  I remember most of this in my ending.  I was a little inhebriated, but I definitely remember most of this.

They do have a point. Bioware has no responsibility to do anything, especially for free. I suspect that I am in the minority here, but I think that if they do release a new ending DLC, they should charge for it. The amount of work involved with even the simplest changes discussed here makes it financially difficult to convince investors to back. The majority of people who buy the game never even finish it... investors will have trouble backing free content for a vocal minority, regardless of merit. Especially with EA at the helm. We have what, 20k signatures? out of a game that shipped 3.5 million? We need to meet Bioware halfway if we want a change. At the same time, if Bioware uses this to make money, that is unacceptable. It should be priced lower to compensate

Can you please find it and link it to me...?

Sure thing.  Just found it again now, it's on Tumblr, HERE.  Just hit play in the little box and... feels.

Damn, and I thought Mark Meer did a insanely good job... Probaly the soothing voice of Jennifer Hale together with Keith David making a perfect match for this scene damn. I really hate Bioware for cutting that part out. It's probaly the most moving in the game, or would have been...

Only thing better in male Shepard conversation is Anderson sounds more amazed when saying "Commander Shepard" in a higher voice, when in the femshep version he still beaten there aswell

Kotaku has now heard of us.

Sounds like there against us

They are.

People who don't know/haven't played the ME trilogy would think we are unreasonable and such.

Yup, we're the bad guys.

There has been a trope found that perfectly describes the ME3 ending.

Kotaku's article seems highly misinformed, and content to label us as over-entitled fanbois.

It's Kotaku. What do you expect?
Their stance on games change like the wind..or whoever is footing the bill.
I've seen articles on there outraged over DLC characters being locked on fighting game discs, and then articles supporting such practices.

Now I'm crying even harder than with the MShep version... FemShep's voice just has so much more emotion to it. Makes it more touching...

Sweet merciful crap... I'm kinda glad they didn't put this in because if they did that would have just been another knife in the heart... :crying:

I agree with you, and I'd pay for it, I just think that it's a way for them to make more money, and if they did that here, what's to prevent them from doing it again? I'd find it difficult to buy another of their games. That's all.

There was so much foreshadowing in ME1 and 2 about Shepard settling down after the war even in 3 there was (along with him dying).
It makes you think they too a 180 in the middle do ironing out the story....

I refuse to believe that the 'endings' were written by the same people who wrote the rest. They must have been the work of an envious writer who wanted to sabotage the others' superior work.

I stopped playing after London, and I'm glad I did so. I've read all about the endings, and saw the 'colorful explosions' on YT----but at least I didn't get to witness any of that in-game. Thanks again to the forum members, who advised me as to the best point to just stop playing.

In a movie, or in a book - the ending (happy / sad) is totally dependant on the theme of the story being told. What does the writer want to express, what is the moral or point of the story.

In a game trilogy filled with choices that should have a total changing affect on the end of the game, the ending should totally be happy / sad based on those choices and what the GAMER wants to achieve. An ending that varies little, indeed not at all, based on choices you have made - is a truly devastating end to Mass Effect.

Whats worse - is KOTOR had multiple endings that were great, DAO had multiple endings that were great, even Mass Effect 1 and 2 had multiple endings - and all of these endings were based on your choice. Hell, Mass Effect 2 had a Shep die ending that was awesome. The different endings were so great in these games I went back and played through the game to experience the different outcomes - I cannot play through ME3 again because there is no different outcome. There is no value in replaying it.

It seems that with DA2 and ME3 - BioWare have just lost the ability to end a game, it almost feels pretentious in its presentation and the involvement through the game of the dreams and the kid. By the time I got to to the ending and had player control, I unloaded round after round into the Guardian in the hope of achieving something more.

The game has a lot of polish and awesome story telling up until the end - then it all comes crashing down.

Worst ending ever. I can hardly believe Bioware agreed to this. The endings are so bad if they released new ones as DLC I would gladly pay.

Looks like BioWare might be banking on this. I, for one, will not stand for cash-in DLC to give us what we--arguably--should have had in the first place.

I just wonder why they didn't do something like THIS

I mean....Bioware...really...I am very supportive of everything you do, but that ME3 ending was a let down in the last 5 minutes.

Oh my ****G god, this makes me so angry even though I am :crying: now.  THIS is what I expected from Anderson to Shepard!  When he and Shepard were sitting down before Anderson died I expected some heart wrenching dialogue from Anderson about how Shepard was like a son to him etc.  Wow, just....wow.

Interesting Informations about the plot and its writers:

This makes a lot of sense. Explains why the ending of ME3 feels so jarringly different from the rest of the game and from the rest of the series. And why there was all the talk of dark energy in ME2 that never comes up again.

I wonder why Bioware decided to change the ending then? Go from something logical to.. confusion and poo? Makes no sense..

If we actually get a "true" ending, I wish that the denizens of the Mass Effect universe would party, and sing "Livin La vida Loca" (just watched Shrek 2).
