I've cried myself to sleep. I feel incomplete, i'm just waiting for my boyfriend to finish his play-through. It's sad that people like Kotaku and Co think we "hate the whole game" but that's not the case, we want choices, the same choices we had in ME1 and ME2, not different methods and same conclusion. The whole ME3 experience was AMAZING, but when I hit those last 10 minutes, my will to play any ME series just vanished on the spot. I felt like, everything I did to archive the maximum ending, an ending that she's able to be happy with her LI and friends, I don't care if they destroyed the mass relays. Not everyone likes when a hero to die...

Please Bioware we beg you and ask you, to consider and grant us that final wish.

There's a BioWare panel on April 8th at PAX East. It's an open Q&A so you'll get answers there at the latest if there is no word by then.

I simply can not believe that NOBODY at Bioware raised an eyebrow when they were told the concept for the ending. The guy animating the Mass Relays exploding really thought that was okay in this universe? The guy who created the space ghost child model never asked why in the hell he was doing this? The vocal director never questioned where all this psychobabble mumbo jumbo was coming from? Every link in the chain thought this is what fans wanted to see? A destroyed universe, THAT'S what we've all been waiting for? Really!?

I'd like to ask once more how many people will be attending PAX East? BioWare devs or at least PR people WILL be there and it WILL be an opportunity for us to speak, literally, about our problems. And to see if we can get any kind of affirmation from them. It's only 24 days away.

Wanted to check in. Here I am, 4 days out. The only thing that has made it feel a bit better was going on a picnic on this gorgeous day. Time to just lay in the sun and forget about everything else, it was great. But that's not what we're talking about now :P

I still can't get this off my mind. 4 days and I still have not touched a video game. It isn't a Mass Effect thing at this point. I am so soured by the experience that I don't want to touch ANYTHING in my library. I'm sitting on a copy of SSX, which came out one week before ME3. I've only put about 3 or 4 hours in to it, and loved it. But I have no desire to play. Looking at my console makes me feel sad and angry. And the ME3 disc, which I expected to spend this vacation running through 2 or 3 times, is just sitting idle in the 360. Watching the ending was the last thing I did with my TV, and I don't think that will change for a while. It seems like I have a general disinterest in fiction at the moment, which is bizarre.

I am a little freaked that a video game could hit me this hard. I don't know if it is a testament to how invested I get (is it too much?) or the quality of ME3 (99.9% amazing).

You're not alone, KT. The only video gaming I've done since "beating" ME3 is a short bit of Guitar Hero III, which I hadn't played in a long time (and this came across in the plonks and wails of missed notes). Haven't watched any TV, haven't watched any of my movies, haven't even worked on any of my plastic model kits. I just feel emotionally drained and numb, unable to invest myself into anything else (save the upcoming move into a better condo) besides hoping that the devs see all this and take it to heart.

And yes, I'm a little worried about myself when something so seemingly trivial as a video game trilogy can affect me like this. A lot of us seem to be wrestling with similar conflicting desires, never mind the sheer unprecedented scale of this movement so close after launch.

The closest example I can think of in living memory is what happened after watching the Challenger disaster, live on television. I was only in elementary school when it happened, but I remember that we watched the launch itself in class (I was living in Tallahassee, Florida at the time). Witnessing something blow up on launch is heart-wrenching, whether or not there are people aboard, regardless even whether or not one is vested in the outcome of whatever is being launched. It's so unexpected, it comes out of nowhere, and the quest for answers takes so much out of you.

As it did with the Challenger investigation; the space program was put on a two-year hiatus.

At least no one can say you lack self-confidence, telling thousands of people that they're just mad for a reason you make up. Some of us ARE mad that Shepard dies in every single ending, but that's FAR from the only reason.

My Shepard didn't die and I'm still mad. What does that mean?

Don't worry, unless there's some broad miscommunication between the game and player, your Shepard will almost definitely die seconds later, as a direct consequence of consuming a giant explosion face-first... in space.

Good if we don't let it die down then it'll show our resolve, maybe we can force Bioware into doing something. Keep up the fight ladies and gentlemen

We did it with Mass Effect: Deception, we can do it again! -Not that I'm partial to the idea of fans to a franchise holding the franchise hostage when the creators of said franchise dupe them, especially since we're on their forum...and all... But WTH, free speech FTW!!

Well... I think that the ending(s) were a let down i was excited about being back on earth and figting for what my sheapard belived in but... as soon as i ran towards the beam i knew it was going to start going downhill.. but it dosent seem right.. the ending must be some sort of dream/Hullusination.. the oily border of the screen (same as sheapards dreams) the Humming sounds that The indoctrination proccess uses (James Talks of it). The illusive man? obviously he's indoctrinated But there is more to it... The illusive man isnt A "reaper" but he makes sheapard do things (like shoot anderson). I think Harbinger hit's sheapard with the laser and knocks him out... and then on it's a dream/hullusination.. the boy.. is used against sheapard as a weakness because he regrets not helping.. The reapers may be aware of it..

Heck i hope bioware have something BIG planned because i was most upset with the ending.. making me question if bioware dont care :(

Here's to all quarian Squadrons.. Sheapard cant die. :(

OMG!! I DID SEE A CHANGE!!! After my hard work, instead of dying to the Harvester, Cortez managed to land safely!!

A small change, but a change nonetheless.

Wait how did you get that to happen? o__o

I don't know. I got my galactic readiness up to 100% and got my WA up to over 6k. And then I ran into him once on the Citadel by the memorial wall in the holding area and was supportive. Then I came here and tried this stuff again... And he survived. On my frist play through of this area, he died.

I didn't even know he could die...oops =]

I will unfortunatly not be able too, I live far from it and haven't the money to get there, almost every penny I had saved was spent on getting ME3.

We've seen this same pattern happen with George Lucas, M. Night Shyamalan, and we may see it with George R.R. Martin. These people all became so enamored with their success that they were convinced they were infallable. Anybody who questions is shoved out of the way and/or ignored, so that these 'creative people' can have complete control. And look where complete control got 'em. What it gets us...

I must admit, I am a big time Bioware fan. I am a lifelong gamer. Man, I have a played a huge stretch of games throughout the years. I loved Mass Effect...awesome series. I am a writer...a novelist. I love stories. I like games...but...

I am completely perplexed by the ending. I'm...confused. Not angry. Disappointed, yea. The rest of ME3 was fantastic, aside from the bugs. But the ending...IDK. I'm kinda in shock I guess. What just happened? Who was the stargazer guy? I think I know where they are going with it, but I am not happy with the decision...

I'm going! I've tried to drum up support for a unified movement! We need to organize a united front, and hold the line. Show them we stand as one - that we demand closure and quality. That we won't deal with their mystical fantasy schlock in our Mass Effect. Who's with me!?

Another one of "the worsts parts" are that if the hallucination stuff was planned, and they explained it where we currently have holes, this would become the best ending ever, instantly.  We'd all have egg on our face.

If they don't mention anything about the ending by then, PLEASE ask them. You will be saving our lives....or Shepard's. Though I'm hoping they will say something before that, we never know...
I wish I could go, instead of being stuck in some middle of nowhere college town in PA :pinched:

I'm okay with egg on my face so long as there's more of the actual battle for Earth, too. For a game whose entire purpose was "TAKE BACK EARTH!" there was surprisingly little of the actual battle for Earth.
