And, I just altered my review on Raptr. I know it's not meaningful, but most "educated" gamers look at fellow gamer reviews.

For anyone coming in here and doesn't get it.

I'm (and I think 'we') are fine with the endings IF AND ONLY IF we had an PITA-to-do-ending (not hard just involved) that allowed us to:

Save Earth
Destroy Reapers
Unite Galaxy
Save Relays
Save Normandy & its crew
LIVE OUT THE REST OF OUR DAYS WITH OUR LOVE INTEREST

But instead we get a "boom-head-shot-from-the-hip-from-2kilometers" ending

+1 to that argument. I agree with this 100% just give us a choice to choose weather we want to kill off Shepard or destroy the galaxy or live out our lives with our LI. Not that hard.

+1 this and a text box update an my crew is all I want.

I think that in regards to Mike Gambles comments on From Ashes that he was refering to the time during the polishing process when a small team worked on From Ashes.... I don't think he's talking about adding content post ME3, since any DLC would indeed be added content.

"At this point, our goal is to polish the game to an extremely high quality – not to add extra content. You hopefully see a lot of that polish in ME3. "

I think he's talking past, not future since we "hopefully see a lot of that polish in ME3."

Cheers. McBeath.

That's what I think too.

My brother swore off bioware and ea when they implemented origin, he was in the video game industry a few years ago and left for greener pastures. He believed that origin goes against everything good in games and hinders creativity in favor of profit (he told me this many times quite a while ago) he even stopped playing his favorite game battlefield . He also cautioned me that all future bioware games would have poorer quality because of this mindset. This is his post on my fb page about my dislike of the endings
" Since EA created Origin, I have boycotted all their games including ME3, Battlefield 3, the next Sim City, and anything else they are putting out. I'm just not going to give them any money any more, even though I really want to play their games."

Main reason why I am holding back on ending DLC hope is because whatever you've initially purchased should've had the final conclusion for the chapter. I just do not know... if they are willing to make such DLC.

If they give me free dlc with the real ending, then i will continue to pre-order future games. If not then i will wait till walmart has them for sale at $10 a pop.

^ Subscriptions cancelled. =/ Hate to do it, Bioware, your games are fun. But if you don't listen to the people, there's no point in me paying you for a service you're not delivering on.

Was checking out the facebook page and saw that someone had posted a link to another gaming site that says the endings were just bad. At least not all of them are against us right? gamingshogun.com/2012/03/09/mass-effect-3-leaves-me-angry-a-review-pc/

Props to them! Thank You Gaming Shogun~

More review sites need to do this and get the message out about the endings.

This is the finally to their masterpiece. I don't think they would just let it go down in flames.

I just finished the game today. One question, I took Ashley and Garrus with me when I was running to the beam... How did they end up back on the Normandy at the edge of the system?

Honestly, until that elevator took me up, the game was amazing.

I feel bad for Chris and all the Bioware staff that pored there hearts into the first 99 % of the game. I suspect it was an upper management decision to end it so poorly as it is a tottaly different feel to anything in the first 3 games.

So if I sound cranky over this I apologize to all that worked so hard I just want your upper management to green light a fitting conclusion as currently it is Fonzi on water Skies for an ending .

It's frustrating some of the outside BSN articles I'm reading. It's like Bioware is only responding the day-one DLC, of which I had no idea and don't care. It kind of sucks that it was released on the same day but we all were hoping and expecting more DLC. What's frustrating me is that's ALL they're resopnding too. Nothing at all about the endings, like they're purposely trying to redirect the discontent. And I don't want to hear from anyone but the producers, they are in charge they direct how things go and the mood for the game and the staff creating it. Either everyone brainstorm and pitch in (paragon) or we do this my way end of story :( (renegade)

I've said this before, but that was about 100 pages ago or so at this point, so I'll repeat it.

The game has been out less than a week in America, and only a couple days in Europe. On top of that, it's currently the weekend. Be patient. Now that the weekend is nearly over, and quite a few more people have finished the game and experienced what the rest of us have, Bioware will have more of a sample to base their response off of. Chris Priestly has tweeted about reading what is being said on BSN, and how it has made him feel. Give the rest of Bioware time to compose their response.

Our cause is growing faster than ever, going from just a few hundred votes a day to a few thousand in http://social.biowar...06/polls/28989/. Since I went to bed last night at 3:30am(after the time change), this thread has grown 70+ pages, and it is now 11:17pm. The Fleets are growing, and we will continue to do so.

Be patient.

Your response gives me a small bit of hope.  Thank you, I will go to bed and pray/cross my fingers/wish on a star/and all the others I've forgotten in the hopes that it's the response we are rallying for.  Image IPB

I am blaming all of this on EA Games. They are notorious for pulling this crap. Think of EA as the Reapers of the gaming industry. They harvest the greatest gaming companies, destroy them and make way for new companies.

Been wallowing in sorrow since I finshed the game Friday morning. I am a 25 year old male and admit I cryed hard.

I don't think I would mind the endings at all as long as the relys survive, but now Ive killed everyone in the galaxy ive grown to love over 5 years. Without the relays the Normandy crew is doomed, as are the members of each race. There is not enough room on earth for all the aliens stranded there, and without leaders the civvys on the alien homeworlds are just as doomed. If they had even given us some text cards showing the fate of each character or race I might be content at least. But as it is now...

Hemant: Thanks for contacting EA Help! My name is Hemant how may I help you?
you: Well
you: I really wanted to put in a complaint.
you: And I'm sure you've recieved plenty of these.
you: but this is sorta multi-tiered.
you: so if you could take a moment to listen to my ramblings and get it to the Powers that Be, it'd be appreciated.
Hemant: HI Joshua.
you: I bought the Mass Effect 3: Digital Delux Edition. I know I pre-ordered a bit later, but even then, I've been playing Mass Effect since the first game. As you can imagine, I've been a long time BioWare fan. But recently, there have been some decisions about this that really make me regret buying the game. The biggest one right now is the endings - They're just not up to Par with what you would expect with a BioWare game. They all essentially come down to "You Died. Critical Mission Failure (Or might as well be in many people's opinion.)
you: It's a dissapointing sight to see, and it's very dreadful that this was greenlit by the same company that brought us two great games (Mass Effect 1/2) in a row for the series.
you: I feel almost betrayed for spending an extra 20$ on an EA game.
you: But beyond that - and this is more Salt to the Wound - there is a 787 page topic about the Ending threat ---> http://social.biowar...916/787#9803291 <--- HERE.
you: I must ask you - why has this thread not been addressed by an official representative? Why are so many people being kept in the dark? Why is no one being spoken to?
you: Even a "We hear your concerns, and we are discussing it" would be preferred over the radio silence.
you: This is the same feeling from another BioWare game - Star Wars: The Old republic that I had.
you: And it's for this reason that I feel that, because of BioWare and EA's relationship, I'm going to swear off not only BioWare games, but also EA games.
you: I just want EA to understand that they're losing business, and the same goes doubly so for BioWare.
you: If I had realised things would be like this, I would not have bought TWO copies for the Digital Delux Edition (One for me, one for my friend)
you: I'm done ranting... are you still there?
*A long silence*
you: A response would be most appreciated.... Though that's saying very little, with what I've seen of the forums.
*A long silence*
you: Hello?

*Still waiting*
Hemant: I will forward your feedback to concerned department.
Hemant: Also, please post your issue on forums as well so that our developers can look into it.
you: Give me a link where you would like me to post?

This is the only other thing I can imagine doing to let EA / BioWare truly know that we are hurting over the ending. However, such sentiments only ring true if people actually carry through on such thoughts, as I showed I do.

Ray of light on the article front: Forbes Online tech blogger Erik Kain gets that the DLC is just one of several issues:

"2. Worse, for games built around story, the mythology, at least in the Mass Effect franchise, has been changed in ways that make what was supposed to be a progressively unfolding plot incoherent. Many of the complaints I have heard are similar to those of Lost fans, disappointed with that show’s bizarre finale. As a Lost fan, I can certainly empathize."

Thought I'd repost this here as well for people to mull over. Wonder if it proves they rushed the final idea for the ending after changing the dark matter thing.

"<data>You land and fight Cerberus through the streets of Eden Prime while terrified civilians hide, then meets up with PARTNER (who arrived earlier) just in time to see an explosion of energy coming from the Prothean ruins. When he arrives, the Prothean is standing in a crater surrounded by dead Cerberus agents. It kills the last Cerberus soldier and exits in a cool fashion. Shepard and PARTNER assume that the Prothean is a rogue Cerberus supersoldier created using the CATALYST. PARTNER goes after it, while you goe after the CATALYST.

After fighting Cerberus troops in the area, you find Cerberus video logs that show them opening a Prothean Sphere and finding the Prothean inside. The vid makes it clear that the Prothean isn't a Cerberus soldier. He's the CATALYST. Shepard follows the Prothean's trail of destruction, fighting Cerberus troops. You eventually finds the Prothean injured and exhausted, with PARTNER ready to kill it. PARTNER refuses to listen to your explanation and tries to kill the Prothean, and you have no choice but to kill him. The mission closes with you answering to the Council for "the attack on Eden Prime" and the death of the Spectre to the Council.

You need to gather more troops. You are told about that the quarians have attacked the geth. Tali and/or Legion contact you for a rendevous at the edge of geth

</data>

Weird, references a Prothean... pre-dlc idea?

Even if they do make a DLC or a patch fixing the end, it will take a couple of months until we see it, which is kinda depressing.
