Wait -- something just clicked... Limited choices, ham-handed implementation, no good outcome, complete disregard for character integrity... where... have I seen this... before??? YES, THAT'S IT: The Arrival DLC!onikakarot wrote...
ive been following this since i beat the game a few days ago and was disapointed with the ending,
no choice no argueing with the kid nothing i (shep) just stood there acepted what the kid said then fliped a coin heads or tails all the same . then i started seeing the dream ideas and all of the citdel was the reapers attempt to indoctinate him. i can see that blue or green would be giving into the reapers and loseing , only when you resist and destory em do you see shep wake up on earth ,
i started a new play through and its true no one but shep ever notices the kid 10 adults on the escape pod and a soldier infront of the door and no one leans down to help the kid in,
ppl being indoctrinated see things , so it all being a dream could make sense joker normendy and the old man and kid after the credits still dont make sense
ive voted , ive posted , ive joined the facebook page not much else i can do but wait and hope BW hears us , and does something

I would like an explanation for the ending as well as complete revision.. I think a new ending would be difficult to create on bioware's part, but we should at least get a full-fledged explanation from whoever directed/wrote (Casey Hudson/Mac Walters?) me3 as to why the ending was the way it was.
This. I'll be perfectly happy to accept the ending if they just explain why it is the way it is. And have it make sense.

An explanation would be an unsatisfying cop-out. We're fighting for a full rewrite and retcon, because as it is the ending doesn't make sense and is, quite frankly, downright insulting to us players.

Hey everyone, don't forget about the PAX East Platoon! Those who are attending or who would like to support us in spirit, please join the group at http://social.bioware.com/group/7049/ and get involved with planning and a discussion.
We will let BioWare know, in person, that we care about the ending. But we can't be disruptive to the event at large or the panel in particular, just wouldn't be fair to the other attendees. Still, we need a plan of action and a list of questions. Maybe even some T-Shirts to order/distribute to show our solidarity.

Why give Penny Arcade any money now? When their employees are making fun of us?

Ray of light on the article front: Forbes Online tech blogger Erik Kain gets that the DLC is just one of several issues:
"2. Worse, for games built around story, the mythology, at least in the Mass Effect franchise, has been changed in ways that make what was supposed to be a progressively unfolding plot incoherent. Many of the complaints I have heard are similar to those of Lost fans, disappointed with that show’s bizarre finale. As a Lost fan, I can certainly empathize."

Wow...really does look like they stripped the "dlc" from the game with how he activated Javik on that youtube clip. o_O

Way to ruin a great series with a 5 minute job ending. Thanks for leaving a bad taste in my mouth. And no, I won't be purchasing any DLCs from you.

As much as we all crave and want a continuation of the ending, you guys have to remember that we're demanding a game update. As an example: Broken Steel didn't come out until about 6 1/2 months after Fallout 3 was released.
Patience is virtue, my friends. BioWare will hear our voices. Mass Effect will have its true ending soon.

This wound goes deep.
Bioware it was a great game; best one I've played up till the ending. But I'm hurting here guys. I'm not even really angry, I just want to know how this could happen.

I can't bring myself ever play ME 1, 2 or 3 again. It hurts saying that because I was mega fan for ages. I just wished the last 10mins never happend.
i was determinded that i was going to make another playthrough of ME1 tonight (well start it at least)
i quickly found out that i had no control over my body and i could not build up the will power to go over to my xbox and put it in....
My ME3 is still in my xbox. Once I finished watching the ending I just turned it off and like you cannot build up the will to do anything right now. I was so excited to play. But now even if I ever play them again my choices will mean nothing.

We aren't asking for it to be released tomorrow, we're asking for some sort of response or acknowledgement. Even if Bioware just told me that within the next year they'd release better endings I'd already be able to enjoy the series again in anticipation. It's this feeling of not being heard, of hopelessness, that's the hardest.

Wait a sec, I'm I hearing this right? You guys are actually willing to shell out more money just to get Bioware to fix this godforsaken mess of an ending? Are you really willing to financially reward them for messing it up the first time round?
Yes. Whatever "pride" I might damage by doing so, I love this series far too much to compromise a chance to end it on a good note.

Add another plus to that.
Even if we had to wait six months to a year, just knowing that we'd get such a DLC would reinvigorate my desire to play the games and import my other Shepards. I would simply play them up to the final mission and then just leave them there until we got new endings.

This was made yesterday as well and has over 1,000 followers. tweet your unhappiness with #RetakeMassEffect to show you exist and you are not happy. I think if people speak up on multiple mediums maybe we will be heard. Then gaming website will stop calling us stuck up.
