I shot udina....and it felt real good.

That was the end of the game for me. It's mostly all ive wanted to do since me1.

Now for icing on the cake , they should release a dlc where i get to hunt down and kill Delan, i really hated that guy.

I never finished DA2, becuase DA was so much better. But killing my favourite sci-fi universe (finally something beneath Star Wars/ Star Trek/ Stargate etc.) makes me really sad. (I loved 99% of ME3 as much as you did, only the ending...).

Well, seeing as we were able to get Chris to admit that he flt utterly crushed by what we were posting, I'd say they're all too busy seeing therapists and downing anti-depressants to monitor the forums right now.

Jesus F-. Just sum up all of my investments in ME trilogy and check this out:
ME1 ~ $60
ME1 DLCs ~ $50
ME2 ~ $60
ME2 DLCs ~ $50
ME3 ~ $60

so it's nearly $280 even without counting two N7 hoodies I brought lately. I think it's similar to any of hardcore fans right on BSN.

So, we're all payed $300 for our own funeral? And now Forbes says STFU to me? This isn't even funny anymore.

I'll make a post if I hear back from him. It would be nice to get a follow up, since one of the main themes WAS brand loyalty and the relationship between gamer and dev.

Yea post it if you do get an answer. :)

It's running around down below engineering, you only have a few seconds to catch it before it hides away for some time :)

Seriously, I will shot that hamser if no answer is given soon.

*Takes out an avenger and points it at the hamster which is starring at it with wide eyes.* "We demand an answer!".

No seriously, just came from vocational school. Nothing heard as of now? How sad. At least we got hints (!) that they start to seriously think about it. They should better do so if they want to sell DLC and/or DAIII because I will not buy another trilogy end with something as this.

Even if 99% would be awesome like MEIII...killing a trilogy of choices that matter by giving the choice of 3 different colors is just...well...you get the idea.

Well, in their defense, I can see that it's possible that the "From Ashes" DLC had to have some basic "placeholder" already on the disc to make it possible to integrate the DLC at a later stage. Why?

Look at the Elder Scrolls Oblivion for example - why do you think people on console can't enjoy all the fanmade Add-ons and stuff? Because you would need to change the game on a basic level and have a system ready to actually integrate that new stuff into it. And to implement something like that, you would need to have an additional Program or additional code like you have on the computer version for Elder scrolls Oblivion with the Content-Manager. So with Oblivion Add-ons, you either have:
1) Weapons-Add-ons
2) Appearance
3) New Quests with a way to implement them (eiter new World like Shivering Isles, where they simply put a "new door" on the map, and the new world is mainly not connected to the already existing world). But you still had to install all those components to work with them.

Now with Ahes, you had to download 620 additional MB to actually get the DLC. So technically, there had to be some kind of "not used" placeholder in the already existing game to integrate this DLC to actually make it work. So to make the DLC work, the game takes that additional placeholder from the Disc to integrate the DLC and boom - you need to use more "Diskspace" from the Disk as before. It's not like you can simply change the "code" or overwrite it completely, but again, that depends on how you code your game and with all the choices and stuff, I can imagine it would be extremely hard and uncomfortable if you didn't have already placed some "placeholders" throughout the code.

And if you think about it this way: The actual Game may already be finished two months prior to the release - so you think the devs and staff sit around on their butts doing nothing? And what about those people who were not needed anymore in the final stages of finalizing the game? They probably already work on new ideas and DLCs.

So yeah, as nobody really knows how it actually is, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt about that one.

I am just dropping to post for the first time in aaaaages to voice my own disappointment with the game's ending. Completely changing the tone of the game and denying the fans that have spent hundreds of hours fine-tuning their Shep-avatar's relationship with their squad mates, romance interests, etc a satisfactory resolution or closure of any kind is simply beyond the pale.

I have stood by Bioware since Baldur's Gate 2 and to this day I still voraciously defend Dragon Age 2 to my friends and I most likely will continue to do so in the future, but the disappointment is... urk, it's rancorous. It's almost embarrassing how sad this has made me.

 So I’ve held back
posting but the severe depression is crippling me and my therapist says
confronting it should help....

So ME:3, heard about male love interest for shep,
shrugged and said cool my shep isn’t gay but someone's may be. Day 1 dlc?
Shrugged, by all means that’s alright; they finished the game first, and then
gave me some more stuff to do. Killed my shep? Cried a little, but I kind of
expected and was prepared to accept his death. Basically murder the Galaxy I
just spent the past five ******* ************* years saving? What....the...****
Took all of my choices that I made, good and bad, and rendered them down to
three ************* button presses?!? I expect this kind of crap from
activison, blizzard, and those prats that made fallout 3 and oblivion, but not
Bioware. Not the guys who helped give me possibly the best damn RPG series,
which is Baulder's Gate, gave me KotoR, Dragon Age, and others. Bioware I am
very, very disappointed in you.
Image IPB

My final thoughts: TAKE MASS EFFECT BACK! VIVA LA RESISTANCE!

Edit: ran myself through a spell checker, it's hard to type properly through the tears.

Ugh. If those people are part of the BSN...even if the indoctrination theory turns out to be the real thing, we don't owe Bioware an apology. We bought the game at full price, we deserve a full game. Had they told us about "oh don't worry, this isn't the real ending. Be patient", things would be different and the fans wouldn't turn on them as much.

Am I the only person that will be even more angry if this is the case?  If that after 5 years of anticipation of finally seeing the series climax and come to a conclusion it turns out they did THAT so that they can sell the *real* ending later?  How the hell can that be justified?  It should have been marketed as such if this is the case.  They kept promoting the game as the epic ending to the trilogy, that is what we should have been given when we paid our money.  If they told us in the begining that it would be a 2 part game, it would be different, they did not.

I bought 3 copies of the CE, I feel so stupid for doing so now.

We really need to hear something today (Monday) whether or not the endings we have will be the endins we will always have. IF they are waiting for the Japan release to possible give us a "true" ending they need to atleast tell us that.

"For those of you that are unhappy with the ending bear with us for a few days. (weeks or whatever)"

That would do SO much to calm down the forums. On the other hand, if there isn't anything they are planning to do with the endings, the ****storm will continue to grow.

The current set of endings basically ruins the entire trilogy, it's just about the WORST thing they could have done.

Why not just let us destroy the reapers, save the day, and then reunite with our crew? Was that too complicated for you to think of? It would have been less complex and would have left the "why are the Reapers doing this?" question unanswered, but it would have been 1000000000000000000 times more satisfying and enjoyable and the answer Bioware gave to that question was unintelligible crap anyways.

Seriously - why the hell is that ending not included as even an option?
