Too bad, you're dead. And even if you survive Normandy is at the other end of the universe.

To me it seems as though it was decided that the ending was in pursit of intellectualism (as heavily flawed and confusing as it may be) rather then escapism, which seems alright for science fiction but felt really uneasy in a role playing game. I'd probably be happier with the game if it ended before the scenes with the normandy, joker and planet as they were way too unclear (my final squadmates returned to the normandy?), and kinda killed any chance of creating a happier ending with my imagination. In terms of science fiction I feel as though the ending had no resolve and wasn't particularly profound either. In terms of a role playing game I'm just heartbroken. Ah well...

It's a great piece of work that has been posted in another thread. If this is a repost than sorry about that. There's just too much to sieve through here.

I also wrote something similiar today on a shet of paper.

Now tell me why everyone can come up with an ending that leaves the possibility of galactic civilization preserving and Shepard MAYBE surviving or not, depends on the readyness, and Bioware cannot do so? :bandit:

 I put my N7 hoodie on this morning to go to work and my girlfriend said;

"You're actually going outside wearing that?..."

I echo the earlier post,
N7 Hoodie = £65
ME1 + DLC = £50.
ME 2 Collector Edition + DLC = £80 (Roughly)
ME 3 Collector Edition = £55

Total = £250... Sucker?

Then he stole the hamster back, and threw it in the synthesis beam. Now all life is part hamster.

You mad bro?

No the giant Cat reapers. With this ending anything is possible.

This is probably the only revision of the ending I've seen that has my support, really.

Cool to see that the poll is only off 1% compared to the one here. And this one has less votes, so could easily balance out to be the same later. :)

It has now been 24 hours since I finished the game and I still feel sick. I don't think I will ever be able to forgive Bioware if they don't fix this in the coming weeks.

You invest 5 years of gameplay into this series, only for it to be ripped away at the very end. You'd think that Bioware in writing one of the best game trilogies ever, thought: "well since so many players invested 150+ hours into this game, we'll give them some closure." No instead we have to be content with having the entire galactic fleet stranded at earth (which in itself raises ALOT of questions) and the Normandy inexplicably fleeing the scene only to be stranded on an unknown planet with Liara & Garrus which were only moments before with me on earth.

I just can't wrap my head around the fact that Bioware can even begin to write this bs. How the hell did they not see this coming?

I keep trying not to get excited about that apparent dev that talked about the DLC on the 10th, because the DLC he outlined sounded like it could be our life line... I'm trying so hard to tell myself it isn't true and that it was just someone trying to get our hopes up, but there's just the slimmest chance that it could be genuine.

Eugh my feelings.

Two hours in row for now i'm just sit in front of monitor and listen game ost. Feels wrong, not bad as used to be but still it's hurts somehow.

I'm even don't understand how you manage to ruin 5 years expirience just in few minutes? Well, it looks like on the one hand you make incredibly good game, and on other hand you fail so miserable with ending, you know.

Well there is no doubt about it. Having come to the series late, but in exactly the right time to play through all three games for the first time, back to back so the whole experience is like one insanely large game, the ending feels like an anti-climax. Several reasons.

Though you get to speak to some of the individuals you've brought along and all the fleets check in, there wasn't that much of a feeling of everything all falling into place. Would have been nice to see a bit more of what was going on elsewhere.

Going from the rocket launch action finale to the long slow walk seemed to give the ending an odd tempo compared to the previous games. Not to mention there is no way I'd drop my shotgun damn it!

Then there is the weirdness of god boy and the choices that don't seem to really add up. Not to mention his explanations for the Reapers don't make sense either. But I have trouble seeing how you have the power to rewrite all life everywhere but can't just blow up the reapers and leave the Geth and EDI alone.

The fact it seems I need to play some non-story multi-player to get my effective strength up to 5000 and of course the big one being that none of the endings really seem to offer any closure. Whatever happens your prologue is the Normandy stranded without Shepard? The galaxy isolated. Where does that leave Earth? Filled with aliens from the various species that were fighting there and any survivors from the fleets. Though there is no suggestion of that with the whole stargazer stuff, so maybe we didn't want to share.

Mostly though I was just upset that my Shepard didn't get to see Tali again.

I can't take the credit at all, I found a Tumblr post where someone had posted it. Sorry if this has already been talked about, I did a quick check and couldn't see anything about it though. The link to the Tumblr post is here: http://allofmyfeels....make-me-calm-my

I'd post the screenshot that was posted with it but I'm at work at the moment and can't get onto tinypic to upload it, but the screenshot of the 'dev' telling us about the dlc is right there in the link.

What do you think? I'm 99.9% sure it's someone having us on who's is trying their best to sound genuine, but if it's real... you guys, oh my gosh.

P.S. Sorry I don't know how to do sexy links :(

Are we not the same fans who got Mass Effect: Deception changed because of how bad it was? How inaccurate it was? It was because of US and our reactions!

Fight for what's right, fellow fans! Don't give up on this. I'm proud of all of you!

I stayed up late as hell playing ME3 last night, just to try and finish the game.

I was sort of passing in and out of sleep, while playing, the loud sounds from the game would startle me enough, just to wake me fully for a few seconds. I'm not sure I finished it or not,

I remember something like a dream, where a laser nearly hit me and all my expensive armor was blown off Shepard. Somehow I used a pistol that I never carry, to one shot some reaper soldiers, those same soldiers, that in all other instances of the game, required tons of shots from an assault rifle to take down.

I then was teleported up a beam of light to see a ton of carcasses, completely out of place on the Citadel. Anderson was also ported up, but I never saw him near me back at the beam on Earth.

Anderson somehow approached the control room of the Citadel and was always ahead of me, although when I reached the platform there was only ONE way to walk out onto it, and that was from the direction of which I had walked.

I was standing on the Citadel with some AI child, that was trying to get me to believe it was the Catalyst. I was outside, yet breathing air. Oh yeah, let me mention I got up to this area from a chunk of the floor that had levitation capability and it flew me up like a magic carpet.

I was given a couple choices, limp left and pull a level or limp right and shoot some wires.

Both resulted in a big boom, bright lights and the end of the conflict... or at least that is what was rendered on my LCD monitor.

Is that it?

He offered a choice of 3 different colors for the hamster. But then said there was 17 different colors for the hamster

another thing I dont get is why the reapers even hit the home worlds for and not just got for the citadel going back and thinking about what vigil said about there tactics in there cycle also makes me wonder if this was all planned out since day one like bioware said

why in mass effect did vigil say that the reapers took the citadel and gained the records of how many people were out there to kill and also shut down the relays so they could take each world one by one and so the protheans could not cordinate all there fleets and planets into one big fight as even the repears could not win a war of attrition against there whole fleet

the whole reaper strategy is wrong in 3 as they allow you to go and get this massive fleet instead of cutting everyone off and taking each one at a time
