What do you think? I'm 99.9% sure it's someone having us on who's is trying their best to sound genuine, but if it's real... you guys, oh my gosh.

P.S. Sorry I don't know how to do sexy links :(

4chan .... can't decide if I'm  or  because it's either true or not. And it would mean they want to make more money from me instead of giving me the "right" ending right away for the money I already paid them <_<.

I call, "No."

It doesn't matter how they announce them. In what order they do it. As soon as they announce "Shep lives, come see." you're there.

The notion that you're pushing. That people are so ticked now that they won't be buying the stuff before that that comes out? No.

Maybe not a weapon pack. Maybe not appearance. But the story stuff will sell. And "Shep lives" will sell more.

I also agree. But also, i understand that they cannot make an end or an happy end specially for me and my taste. We should make clear that this protest did not only come up because we're all hollywood spoiled americans wo want a happy ending at every of our storys.

We should show Bioware with our thread titles and posts that we strongly disagree with the writing of the last ten minutes itself und that we feel mocked over the fact that they tried to sell us such an ending as "clear and worked trough with no plotholes left behind with some mystical references". The end is not mystical, and we're not to stupid to understand it.

The end of Mass Effect 3 is just absolutly replacable becaus it has nothing to do with the particiluar series. There is no hidden mystical Story behind it. They just added a casual god-like entity for theyr own comfort.

Almost wish I was able to like the ending, just so I wouldn't have to think about it so much anymore, and I could replay the series. I tried, but the ending just lacks everything I was hoping for and looms like a black cloud over any replay attempt.

I still remember the epilogue screens from Baldurs Gate 2, got to learn exactly what happened to all your friends. Can't believe they couldn't find the time to add at least a few text screens to tell you what was going to happen with your crew.

So, I hear that they're planning a Romance DLC. A fix for the endings (whether free or not) seems to be still up in the air. Haven't had the time to sift through all these responses.

Gah! I don't know whether I want to be kept posted on this issue or whether I should let it drop and forget all about the ME universe. BioWare might do nothing, the DLC might be nothing more than a rumor, and I'm just tired of feeling so depressed. I was fine with DA2 except for the recycled dungeons, and may have thought it was a little more plotless than DA:O, but I played it several times and enjoyed it all the same. ME3 is . . . is simply unacceptable. As said before by other posters, 99.9% of it was pure genius. It was that 0.1% of an ending that ruined it for me and failed to deliver the closure and sense of accomplishment I was expecting.

I'd like an explanation for the ending, at the very least. Why the plot-holes, why everyone is stranded in the Sol system, why the Normandy crash-landed on some strange planet, what's the deal with the Stargazer and child scene, etc. *sigh* The more and more I think about it, the more the hallucination / indoctrination theory appeals to me. If Shepard survives in the sequence after choosing the "destroy" option, it appears that he is regaining consciousness on Earth, not the Citadel, and after being blasted by Harbinger. The entire debacle with TIM and The Catalyst never happened, it was all simply the Reaper's attempt at indoctrinating Shepard and forcing him to choose the "control" or "synthesis" endings. Those endings either result in Shepard being indoctrinated by the Reapers and destroyed in "control," or exposing all organic life to Reaper code in "synthesis." Thus, the only "good" ending would be "destroy" despite Shepard's misgivings about destroying EDI and the geth. In reality, this would be a deterrant for Shepard to choose that option, which is the only right option to overcome the Reapers completely.

Sorry, all, for the long post. Just venting my thoughts here, and hoping for the best. All I know is that my Shepard deserved better.

"First off, they don't all lose everything. The Quarians have a home. The Krogan get to start over. They're NOT all going to die. For a while they are going to be limited to their own cluster."

I get quite a different result from the events personally.

The Quarian fleet is stranded in the Sol system with no mass relays, that's pretty much the entire Quarian race as it is mentioned several times that the civilian ships are part of the space battles throughout the game. Meaning re-claiming their home was meaningless for the most part.

The Krogan leadership is also stranded on Earth, meaning the clans will go back to warring states. Meaning the decisions I made were worthless.

Earth now has a massive population to feed of various different alien races and little to no industry left as the planet has been decimated, I would imagine this would lead to mass starvation.

Sure they could build one relay but then how do you build the relay at the opposite end? Travel millions of light years and take all the resources with you?

You were happy with your ending that's cool, obviously by the huge amount of posts far beyond that of normality a lot of people weren't.

I will admit. I was dissappointed...

Disappointed and pissed that the god damn endings were being controled by that damn little bugger of a catalyst! He's there to screw you over... The omnipotent being. Which totally feels like a omnipotent being taking on the form of what "looks familure"

Regardless... maybe the milky way can grow up and not use tier 2 type intergalactic transit, maybe get to Tier 1....

Kudos to you, I agree 100%. I don't see why in a world of fiction, Shepard hasn't earned an ending which he truly deserves.

Reapers or No, I have enough reality in the real world. Gimme a nice happy ending to this story.

I will say it one more time as I already did yesterday. After seeing that FF XIII-2 made the decision to sell additional story, important story, in DLC's, I can believe that Bioware/EA made the same decision. You see the uproar here. The storm. And who of us can say that, if offered the chance to get another 6 hours of gameplay, concluding the story with more possible ends, even a happy family ever after and a good amount of new cinematics, would refuse to spend the money?

So many people here already said "We are going to pay for a new end. Not loving it, but we would.". Well...guess what EA would love to do then...

I just don't understand why they would do this, even from a financial perspective.  Why would I the player be inclined to buy any DLC when the last usable save is before the last mission?  For what reason on this earth would I put money into a game where I know that regardless it doesn't change the end of it.  In ME2 the dlc fite very nicely into the cannon, it was fun to play both during and after the end of the game.

I had such faith in you Bioware, the endings of the first 2 games (especially 1) would be the sole reason that i would play through it all over again, just to experience the chills of watching Joker and the Normandy scream into battle (which was something else we didn't really get that was very much hinted at in the cinematic trailer).  I'll never forget how friends and I sat around discussing this game and how it would be impossible for them to make additional money on it if they make it so something so terrible happens where you cannot play after the ending.

I will never ever let you fool me again if this is how you build up a game that calculates over 1000 decisions to give everyone a unique play instance.  I'm not jumping on board ever again, I spent too much money buying collector editions and merchandise.  I'm done, enjoy your partnership with EA, you've become the fan hating monster that they are.

I would gladly retract everything if you released a proper ending, one that makes me want to actually play through again (I'm not wasting my time with all the other playthroughs I built up) and did it for free, not a litle text based ending, but one where you haul all the voice actors back in and do it in a whay I can stand up from my chair, arms in the air knowing that the reapers are conquered and I'm heading to Rannoch to help Tali build a house just like her father said he was going to do.  Until then, i'm not buying any stupid DLC, I'm uninstalling this game and heading out to dark space, see you in 50,000 years.

PS - I hope you learned your lesson from letting George Lucas into your studio for 15 min.

Selling important parts of the story is bull****. I will never pay money to get the story finished or fixed.

When someone creates a broken product, then the producer has to fix that for free.
You don't buy cars without a steering wheel and you don't pay the repair costs if they car has to be repaired because the sold you a broken one.

Oh, poor Modrin :( I actually saw a video where Shepard shoots him, and then he bleeds to death. When I saw it I was like: "whaaaaaaa what kinda person would shoot Mordin? He's a real ****." - I thought. But if it wasn't for his curiosity (what will happen if I choose THIS? etc.) I doubt he would've done it.
