To be honest the ending made me feel sad and disappointed that I don't really find out what goes on with all my different squad mates etc. but the writers decided that's how it was going to end and it did, maybe I will start up a new play through to get the happy(ish) scene

Id be willing to buy ME 3.5 in order to fix the end. Even GOW 3 and Halo 3 ended more solid then ME3. Loved the journey but the ending (Did it on a PC copy cause friend got that version for me too bf he knew I had the CE Xbox one) and everything from elevator onward was just.....really?? My sheps need some more krogan beverages to survive that.

I voiced my discontent about 500 pages ago....what a massive thread!

I bet someone has already brought this up, but 825 pages is a little much to keep up with.
Regarding DLC: It seems pretty clear from Aria's foreshadowing that a DLC to recapture Omega is likely. My question is this: To what end? Omega is a space station, reliant on trade through the mass relays for such basics as food and other supplies. With the mass relays destroyed at the end of the game, Omega is stranded and thus doomed. So why would we care about taking it back from Cerberus?

You might be just as well saving Omega in the meantime while preparing for the final fight, not after the final credits, I guess.

Well that's my point. Lets say you start up your save right before the Cerburus base, go save Omega for/with Aria, then go and do the last mission. All you've accomplished is switching out the people on Omega who are doomed!

Did anyone else think that destroying the mass relays destroys EVERY system in them as well? As you see in Arrival DLC. And that cannot be changed, meaning no matter what ending you choose, you brought every fleet in the galaxy to help you, only to kill them yourself in one spot? While the Normandy probably being the only ship left 'alive'?

Why would it since no one really knows how you take the relays out of the equation? Could be as simple as turning them off. The relay goes dead with a fairly gradual power stepdown.

Not the same as slapping a huge rock into a fully powered relay.

Fine we get it, you believe your opinion is the only correct one possible. Now why don't you leave instead of trying to force it down out throats?

I don't have a problem with your opinion.

I have a problem with the sense of entitlement that seems to color it.

Not "I want a better ending"

The "You OWE me a better ending. This is MY game." that colors far too many posts here.

No one at BW that reads this thread (And they are) is taking anything anyone says that comes with even a hint of that, seriously.

buddy this is a WHY WE ARE NOT HAPPY WITH THE ENDING THREAD...so if you like it and are just troling get the **** out. Or at least stop presenting your opinion ins seemingly trolish manner

With the ending in Mass Effect 2, there were so many different variables and possibilities for the outcome and what could happen. As players reached the end, they started comparing notes and trying to figure out how it worked. A few months after it came out, we ran a chart in the magazine that showed the layout of how to get the different endings and how things happened. Is that same type of complexity built into the ending of Mass Effect 3?

Casey Hudson wrote...

Yeah, and I’d say much more so, because we have the ability to build the endings out in a way that we don’t have to worry about eventually tying them back together somewhere. This story arc is coming to an end with this game. That means the endings can be a lot more different. At this point we’re taking into account so many decisions that you’ve made as a player and reflecting a lot of that stuff. It’s not even in any way like the traditional game endings, where you can say how many endings there are or whether you got ending A, B, or C.

It’s more like there are some really obvious things that are different and then lots and lots of smaller things, lots of things about who lives and who dies, civilizations that rose and fell, all the way down to individual characters. That becomes the state of where you left your galaxy. The endings have a lot more sophistication and variety in them. It would be interesting to see if somebody could put together a chart for that. Even with Mass Effect 2’s...

EDIT: Source

It's really bad to look back, read all those promises and than see what they actually did. :crying:

That is from Janurary of this year, not enough time at all to re-record and change things so it's not exactly pre-development talk....

Not at all. Don't like it?

Say so.

Keep saying so and maybe they'll change it.

But you're not owed it because of your financial or emotional investment.

Um, what exactly is it we're doing?

We want bettter endings.
We say so.

What does it matter whether or not people feel like they're "owed" a better ending or not? That's an argument of semantics at best. I don't care whether or not I'm entitled to anything, I believe Bioware is a company that's always been based on a loyal fanbase. A fanbase they listen to. I'll tell them exactly what I think, and I'll tell them exactly what I want. It's amazing that every counter to the plea seems to include something about "entitlement this, entitlement that". None of us are suing Bioware, who cares?

Read the thread for every post screaming WAAAA I WANT A BETTER ENDING, there are multiple well thought out complaints and disapointments.

But you don't seem to be able to see past that, nor do you want to as evidenced by your own posts so far calling people irational and wanting to be "spoon fed".

Lots of people are posting saying they are dissapointed. Not I am owed a better ending.

You are purposely generalizing and really other than to troll or purposely anoy people there doesn't seem to be a purpose to it.

I have an old, dumb joke for you.

Three explorers have a shipwreck and land on a tropical isle. They're exhausted, dragging, and as far as they know, the only three survivors. They hear drumbeats, and look at each other, wondering if they're about to be saved, or eaten by cannibals.

The drumbeats get closer, and sure enough - it's cannibals (they can tell, because the cannibals are carrying weapons, firewood, and a large, large stewpot on poles down to the beach where the survivors are).

The leader of the cannibals steps forward and says, "We are cannibals. But, for those of you who lived, we will give you a choice. You will have the opportunity to kill yourself, and if your death is honorable, we will bury you in the manner of your people. If it is not, we will skin you, eat you, tan your hide, and make it into a canoe."

The first survivor steps forward and says, "Then I will need a pistol." The cannibals give him a pistol with a single bullet, and the survivor yells "For the Queen," and shoots himself in the head. The cannibals nod to each other, considering that a sufficiently honorable death, and bury him.

The second survivor steps forwad and says, "Then I will need a sword." The cannibals give him a sword, and the survivor yells, "For the King," and falls on his sword. The cannibals nod to each other, considering that a sufficiently honorable death, and bury him.

The third survivor steps forward and says, "I'm going to need a fork."

"A fork?"

"Yes ... a fork."

The cannibals look confused, but they hand over the fork.

The last survivor takes a deep breath, yells "Screw your canoe" over and over and stabs himself repeatedly with the fork until he is dead.

The End.

Not once has anyone in here demanded a better ending, all we can do is request and hope they listen, stop judging people when you don't even know what they are asking for

Bioware! Hire this guy! Release a new Ending based on his writings! You don't even need the speakers to do so. Most of it would be CGI!

this is fu***** awesome, thanks for posting this, from now on this will be the ending for me :-P

That was what everyone was expecting right?

Sure it is :) telling the reaper kid " go fu** yourself* is what it has to be.

Shepard fought the Reapers against all odds just to please a little child  in the end?

The renegard shepard didn't give a sh** about the council dying and now he can't say no?

I wonder if he ever actually believed this and if he did if he still does. Granted they probably would have lost some pre-orders if he said that we have three crappy cookie cutter endings that are all the same except for a change in color.
