Look on the bright side. If ME3 does turn out to be a turd it'll mark the slow and inevitable demise of EA/BW (sorry, they're one and the same to me). Just imagine, in several years now, no more EA, which means no more Origin, no more crappy recycled sports games, and no more dialogue heavy-gameplay-crappy-gaysex-dating-sim RPGs.
One: If you think Mass Effect 3 being a failure would "doom" BioWare and EA, you're not a very bright individual.
Two: You don't have to buy EA games, you don't have to use Origin, and you don't have to play The Sims. This is all choice. Don't like EA? Don't buy EA. Plain and simple.
Three: Want to run by me why "gay sex" is labeled as a negative in regards to the Sims? Are you forced to have same-sex relations while playing the Sims? Are you even forced into playing the Sims? No?
Kay then.

there is some end scene after the credits. That many of us are not sure what it means . but from what I hear . Is it some old guy talking about creating a colony on some planet . now the only way that can happen is if something bad happens to the SR 2 .

If this is it, then I wish they'd really have ended the franchise here, in exchange for giving us some more variations/happy endings (or skipped the "normandy is spirited away" crap)...

I'm suspecting that EA/Bioware has possible future plans for the Mass Effect universe and so give us these endings to be able start off in a blank slate (no "headache" like the Suicide Mission apparently was). In short: Relays Always Destroyed, No Liara/Shepard blue little babies, no Shepard/Ashley daughter, no mention of who was Shepard's One True Love in any future "ME" games (If there is, then I suspect they'll just reveal that Shepard found someone else eventually, assuming he survived the ending)...

I don't know why, but this reminds me to the begining of the Star Wars Universe (i saw it somewhere) where a ship makes his way trough a wormhole to the Star Wars galaxy, while they where scaping from some kind of Ai or enemy robot.
Just saying

not unless that guy some how becomes a part of the SR 2 's crew in 3 . I think the end scene does in fact explain what happens to the SR 2 and her crew . and the info from the SA guy on that one post is wrong

from a pic I found online it does show the SR 2 passing through a worm hole so . something does happen with the SR 2 and her crew in 3 . Oh and not Shepard is on the Citadel when this happens

inFAMOUS 2. The RFI.
Man your right about this. Those 2 endings where some of the best I have ever seen. On paper they sound horrible. but they where some of best endings in a game series ever. The inFAMOUS franchise is my 4th favorite game franchise of all time, thanks in a large part to those IFM2 endings.
If Mass Effect 3 pulls off something like that.......these endings might not be so bad.

So if my LI will be that lesbian crew member Samantha, does that mean forced impregnation? Wow, not only a let down, but utterly misogynistic!
