So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Not to our complaints but they stated several times that they read every feedback and are aware of our worries.

Our new theme song:
Iwasaki Tarou - "Libera Me" From Hell
...do the impossible, see the invisible
raw! raw! fight the power!
touch the untouchable, break the unbreakable
raw! raw! fight the power!
This is the perfect theme song for us. And the perfect theme song for what one of our options should have been, Shepard saying screw you to Catalyst the idiot ghost.
ROW, ROW, FIGHT THA POWAH!

I know it's tough guys, Hold the Line, stand fast and stick together. Remember we are all on the same side here, were fighting for Shepard. Not just Shepard but those characters we have grown to love. Hold the line, if for nothing else...then Commander Kirrahe.
I'm definatly seeing a comparison between us forum members united under a common cause, and the galaxy under one as well.
Out odds our worse than the their's though. Keep it up.
True, it would take some sort of fanboy superweapon...
Ladies, Gentlemen, and Indeterminate Gendered Aliens.. I give to you, the social network. Able to rally causes faster than a jumping cruiser, able to show up on your doorstep with less warning than a cerberus frigate, able to make you go "...did that just happen" more than a story arc involving a fanboy with a doctorate.
I don't know...unless this "Social Network" is imbued with huge amounts of space magic (any color really), I think we are in trouble.
I'm pretty sure it had the yellow (Dance party) magic imbued in it based off the lulz I've gotten from the past day reading this thread haha.

Same here. I actually regestered in order to post in the motivational poster thread the night before ME 3's release. But then I found out about the 24hour wait. Then I was caught up playing ME 3. Then I reached the ending.
I never did post that poster I made....Why not, we need something to cheer us up
Very nice! Made me chuckle

Here's the thing, If they do acknowledge a mistake and they do create new endings via dlc. Buying that would set an extremely dangerous precedent in the gaming world. It would be like saying "yeah sure bend me over I'll take it, and I'll keep coming back for more." Then EA, Activision, and the like would be shown just how far they can really go with trying to get more money.
DLC is fine. Deliberately holding pieces of the core game away just to sell it to you later is just wrong, especially the ending of a three part series
At least that's how I look at it.
This.
That's probably what Day 1 DLC was. A test.
A test to see how we'd react to having important parts of the game cut out and put into a DLC. For this DLC it would be the information about the Proths. That way if it fails they can release the Ending DLC for free with some bull**** reason for doing so.
If it suceeds and people accept paying extra for important-to-the-plot DLCs.....Ending DLC now on Origin, PlaystationNetwork, and Xbox Live for only $30.

Bethesda did it after the uproar that happened following the release of FO3. They released three other pieces of DLC before it, but they eventually did release something that created a proper send off to the game. And you know what? It was glorious.

A quip here or there on their community page. Nothing official. Pre-launch, I bet the mood in the office was uplifting. Their games have been well received by the fans. Balder's Gate, MDK, Never Winter Nights, KOTOR, Dragon Age. DA2, was a slight mis-step, but I liked it for the most part. The ME series was, imo, their crown jewel.
All that built up good will washed away in ten minutes. It's salvageable, but their lack of response is what will ultimately do them in.

In spite of the above, I must say that I am really disappointed/angry with the endings (no closure, no choice, magic, etc).
I wanted to take a minute to think about the three "grand" choices we get at the end:
a) Grab the electrified handles of doom and command the Reapers.
Why on earth do you need to be burned to ashes in order to command a bunch of (bio-)machines to do something? Really, whoever designed the Citadel's control panels had no idea about interface design or ergonomics.
I think a button might have made more sense, but what do I know about usability, shooting wires might work for some people...
Also, I am kind of impressed at how the red light manages to destroy only synthetics and not all electronics. It is the only weapon of mass destruction I know about that manages to set up a Turing Test for each of its targets.
An finally, my favorite:
c) Jump into the pillar of light so that you disintegrate and thus your "energy" (???) is used to empower the Crucible to splice every living and synthetic thing in the galaxy...
I don't even know what to say about this, I had to be drunk when I got this ending because I can't possibly imagine someone seriously added this to Mass Effect.
I was loving the game up to the last 20 minutes (though the ending is not the only thing that hints at not enough development time, consider Tali's image for instance), but the ending really destroyed it for me.
I wish Bioware did something about it, but I think they are between a rock and a hard place.
On the one hand, if they release DLC to fix the ending they will get bashed for selling features that should have been included with the game (also, they would have to admit that their "masterpiece" was flawed). On the other hand, they have us.
I hope they go for the first option because I know I will grudgingly buy it.
Come on Bioware, please fix this. DA:2 was strike one for me; this is strike two, please don't get to three.

People have and found nothing, no extra levels, cinematics or voicing. However what people have noted is the game itself, both discs, is about 15 gigs big, the game installed on PC anyway is only 9, so were missing six thousand megabytes of files and such, suggests something is coming or something massive was cut.
It's all localization data. Audio and text for the other optional languages, which I believe you can pick in some Origin settings menu or ingame somewhere.
PC version appears to not install unneeded languages.

Ya know, the whole Normandy thing really has me questioning what's going on. In my game I was running with Garrus and Tali in the end. When joker gets off the ship suddenly Tali isn't too far behind him. How could she possibly be on the Normandy when we were fighting on the surface?!
Little by little I'm becoming less angry, what was presented to us just wasn't logical. When did Joker ever run from a fight?! Never! Even when the SR-1 was half destroyed he was still fighting!
This just doesn't add up, I'm expecting a level to be unlocked at a later date, would there be a way to look at the files and confirm/deny this?
Somebody with a PC copy would have likely found any sort of hidden level on the disk by now.
Apparently the 360 disc has 6gb more content than the PC one I was just reading. So they may have dealt with that lol.
Well that could be it though... a PC almost HAS to have an internet conenction to pick up whatever is coming. It's also the platform you can search for goodies.
What if the goodies are already on the console discs, but need to be downloaded to PC to combat the possibility of the hidden level hunt?
