So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Has Bioware responded at all to our complaints?
A quip here or there on their community page. Nothing official. Pre-launch, I bet the mood in the office was uplifting. Their games have been well received by the fans. Balder's Gate, MDK, Never Winter Nights, KOTOR, Dragon Age. DA2, was a slight mis-step, but I liked it for the most part. The ME series was, imo, their crown jewel.
All that built up good will washed away in ten minutes. It's salvageable, but their lack of response is what will ultimately do them in.
see what annoys me is how they give snarky comments back to us on twitter and yet the forum rules that they made said we should be respectful....

And what does Bioware do after that, thumbs their noses at us and burns everything we worked to save right in front of our eyes. This is a sick joke. Casey Hudson came out and said that "some" people would not like the endings. Guess what, nearly everyone hates the endings. I'm really at a loss for words to describe just how mad I am. This is a betrayal, not only did the developers lie to us, but the very goal of the game, the tag line for the entire ME3 marketing campaign was a lie. "Take back Earth" are you kidding me!? We didn't take Earth back, we damned every race in the galaxy. Instead of saving the galaxy, we doomed it to a slow, painful, anarchy driven death. Bioware not only lied to us and gave us a completely crap ending, they butchered everything we knew and loved about the Mass Effect franchise.
This is wrong, plain and simple. If Bioware doesn't change the endings, then I will never by another Bioware product again. If they do change the endings, then I'll be satisfied. Other people may think that we are acting like we are just whiny, entitled fanboys. Truth is, we're people who want to see a wrong made right. We paid $60 MINIMUM for this game, in a very bad economy. Damn right we''re going to complain if something we purchased has a major issue that can be changed for the better. This isn't some small issue. ITS THE END TO AN ENTIRE TRILOGY.

Disclaimer: I have been a Bioware fan since BG:1 and I love all of their games (well, except DA:2...).
In spite of the above, I must say that I am really disappointed/angry with the endings (no closure, no choice, magic, etc).
I wanted to take a minute to think about the three "grand" choices we get at the end:
a) Grab the electrified handles of doom and command the Reapers.
Why on earth do you need to be burned to ashes in order to command a bunch of (bio-)machines to do something? Really, whoever designed the Citadel's control panels had no idea about interface design or ergonomics.Shoot a random bunch of wires and get the Crucible to blow up every AI in the galaxy .
I think a button might have made more sense, but what do I know about usability, shooting wires might work for some people...
Also, I am kind of impressed at how the red light manages to destroy only synthetics and not all electronics. It is the only weapon of mass destruction I know about that manages to set up a Turing Test for each of its targets.
An finally, my favorite:
c) Jump into the pillar of light so that you disintegrate and thus your "energy" (???) is used to empower the Crucible to splice every living and synthetic thing in the galaxy...
I don't even know what to say about this, I had to be drunk when I got this ending because I can't possibly imagine someone seriously added this to Mass Effect.
I was loving the game up to the last 20 minutes (though the ending is not the only thing that hints at not enough development time, consider Tali's image for instance), but the ending really destroyed it for me.
I wish Bioware did something about it, but I think they are between a rock and a hard place.
On the one hand, if they release DLC to fix the ending they will get bashed for selling features that should have been included with the game (also, they would have to admit that their "masterpiece" was flawed). On the other hand, they have us.
I hope they go for the first option because I know I will grudgingly buy it.
Come on Bioware, please fix this. DA:2 was strike one for me; this is strike two, please don't get to three.
Chuckled.. being as a large portion of my real life career is interface design I actually laughed out loud at part of this. I suspect they're now trying to come up with an ending that doesn't anger the people who like the current one and doesn't anger those who think it was sloppy and unfinished... I'd like to point out the equation of most people posting here probably are really into the series and would be their prime target audience to BUY DLC... I'd take a blatantly obvious lie or even a possible truth of "The grand finale end is in the DLC".. take the flak, it's not like you're going to shoot yourself in the foot, but not doing anything now is worse than picking a side and taking it.

Okay, first patch fixes:
All platforms
Fixed issue with disconnection during purchase flow
Fixed issue with multiplayer consumables.
Fixed issue with multiple "Connection failed" messages sent to users.
Fixed several minor DLC related issues
Fixed hang when returning to Mission Computer from Squad in Pause Menu when both the system language and in-game text language are set to Japanese.
Fixed potential crash when loading with quick resume.
only PC
Fixed crash on Windows XP on minimum spec PC.
Fixed lighting and shading on minimum spec PCs.
only Xbox 360
Fixed issue with 64Kbps connection.
I knew they would put text language for Japanese available. That is probably the reason why Japan got it last too
And nothing interesting for us

In a little while I will be posting a link to a site where you may donate funds to a charity known as Childs Play, a charity designed by gamers for gamers. We believe this will help our cause by proving to all those saying we are being selfish and entitled that we are not, we are fighting for someone we believe in. The charity itself is worthy of help beyond our cause but I will selfishly say for the moment I am bringing it up because it can help us.
Donation is of course voluntary and were not looking for 400$ Donations from anyway, that would hurt us more than help us, what were after is each person of the tens of thousands we have here and the thousands more who won't post, to chip in anywhere from a single dollar, to ten dollars. The link I will have for everyone and anyone who WANTS to donate, very shortly, so keep an eye out for any posts from me in the mean time, thank you for listening my companions.

I played through ME2 six or seven times to have so many different possibilities with ME3. Funny part is after beating it today on my paragon run I watched all three endings. They all were awful...I likely won't replay this game they way I did part 2. Big let down for sure.

Primarily from 1min to 1 min 45 seconds or so.
P.S. I would link the song up but I'm technologically retarded. Hard to believe an avid gamer who doesn't know squat about using computers.

ME3 should just end with the Funkasaurus from Planet Funk arriving and beating the Reapers in a 45 second squash match.
At least I could see that as entertaining.
