I agree to an extent, the ending writing is bad no doubt in my mind. Unless it is a dream... then that sucks and we still don't have an ending.

I also agree to an extent but am so happy that FINALLY someone in the MEDIA agrees with us instead of the boiler plate .... "Yea the ending was fine"

Guys and girls please keep it civil like everyone else has said, we don't want to come off as the raving mad fans that some sites are painting us as.

GO.HERE. It's our page for the donations to Childs Play, a way for us to gain Positive reputation and to show we aren't petulant selfish whiners and to help a worthy charity, aid our cause and aid other gamers. More information on the charity is in that thread, so hurry, go,read, comment! Soon the donation will be available, done by a reputable service known as ChipIn. We've talked the talk but now? Now it's time we walk the walk, you all know me, I post only to try and keep the thread focused well now Im directing you at a new form of garnering support for us and lowering the chances of being brushed off.

Is there an alternate way to donate, such as a mail in? I'm 18 and I don't have a credit card or other means to transfer money online.

Well dammit then hold the line, Hold the line with everything you've got, all you're focus, all you're composure.

If you have a bank account, you can use pay pal =D, Pay Pal is the only way to donate. All the information is in the thread. If you can't donate, then spread  the word of the page and help me keep the focus in the mega threads. We can all do something to help the cause, money or not.

There is a reason why PR and marketing departments are paid so much in a lot of industries. Perception is very important in every business. There are a lot of fans that are very unhappy with the Mass Effect ending and I dare say that the amount of posts and attacks on Bioware are even greater than the Dragon Age 2 ending. Bioware could decide to just ignore the problem and hope that it goes away, but they won't. If say 20% of fans absolutely abhor the ending and 50% of those fans decide to never buy Bioware games anymore. That's a 10% revenue loss and that amounts to well over millions of dollars lost. The Bioware team has to deal with this problem either through PR or through a DLC. The fans that are still posting and keeping these threads going are getting the attention of bloggers and eventually those blog posts will draw the attention of "official gaming sites". It's a dominoes effect and eventually Bioware is going to lose a lot of credibility if they don't deal with this problem. The Mass Effect 3 ending has dominated every fan forum for the game, so this isn't a minor subsection of a small population. It's a majority of the fans. And you don't want to ****** off a majority of your customers. Fans who post in forums are also the fans that are willing to buy new games from a gaming house, so they are the loyal customers and hence the customers that the gaming house can bring to the table in a business deal. Without those loyal customers, the gaming house loses a very important bargaining chip in their business deal with game publishers.

From a business standpoint, it's also foolish for Bioware to not have included a happy ending in their game. Mass Effect 3 is being released in one of the worst economic downturns in recent history. There are numerous marketing studies that show during economic downturns that happy endings and comedies in entertainment sell much better than dramatic or sad endings. It stomps me why Bioware didn't get that simple concept. Mass Effect 3 is a game and essentially entertainment, so a lot of the players are playing the game for escapism and closure and not playing the game to experience some form of enlightenment or high form of art.

I guess Kotaku realized after belittling our cause and singing high prasises over the ending in 3 different articles, they would finally let someone else put in the other side.

At least someone that is somewhat on our side... Not completely. The writer says we shouldn't ask for a change in the story, which I think is BS we should be able to ask for whatever we want.

This will probably be my only post on this forum, but I want to say I really enjoyed my time playing through the Mass Effect games; crafting your own story as you go is a huge step forward in how you take part in an interactive narrative. So many twists, turns, and "wtf?" moments... I didn't find the ending particularly offensive (despite choosing the green beam), but I did find it underwhelming in every possible way. If there's another ending, I'd like to see it - but making it DLC is beyond disrespectful to those who bought the game. I didn't pay £70 for the N7 Edition to be left shouting at my tv "Is that it?!" - Bioware need to issue a statement. Is this the ending? Yes or no. That simple.

Not a single one of us is trying to convince him he's wrong. Not one of us are telling him that he shouldn't enjoy the ending he got. He's the only one being aggressive here.

It's like we're all at a cocktail party, and they serve us all anchovies. 30,000 of us hate anchovies, and complain, or at least ask for a different dish. One guy loves anchovies, but instead of being happy and eating them, he decides he needs to run around the dining hall screaming wildly
"WTF U IDIOTS DONT LIEK ANCHOVIES WELL TOO BAD ITS ALL YOU GET WTF GIVE IT UP IDC IF YOU WANT SOMETHING ELSE THEY GAVE US ANCHOVIES JUST STFU"

I'm certainly not going to buy any Bioware or EA game/dlc now. I don't see how they can treat their customers like this. So many factors contribute to what why they aren't treating their fans well.

Yes they do, and I don't understand why they don't, saying whether or not these are the final endings won't spoil anyone they don't have to go into detail.

Why is everyone in the media like "Yo the ending was great" or "Wow look at those fools on BSN thinking they can get anything".

I mean we all played the same game and for most reviewers they played it without Javik (which doesn't matter much but I thought he was an ass but a good thought through character) so why all the hate from media? They should feel the need to have their decisions pay off in some way too right? or are they just to jaded to care?

if they sided with us, they wouldn't get their EA checks in the mail anymore. (pure speculation, but its my opinion, deal with it)

http://www.ign.com/v...3-opinion-video Colin is right. You're all absurd. Nothing will come from this. I'm glad I loved the ending. Sucks you people don't, but this isn't gonna change nothing. So use all the Captain Kirrahe quotes you want, make FB pages, spam twitter and call and rally the troops blah blah blah!!...its over. Get over it.

We've been being civil, please try to be civil as well and not trying to inflame us.

Dude trust me this is me being civil. Civility goes both ways. To spam bioware and their people with hate and bullcrap isnt doin anything and if anybody even hints at liking the ending they get bombarded with people thinking their mental or something. I'm not trying to flame anybody. But there are two sides to this. Not just yours. I get that people dont like it and I get why, but its to late. You must know this is futile.

This is outright untrue. Ok, I take that back, it's not OUTRIGHT untrue, but it is untrue to a massive degree. Anyone saying they like the ending is given a properly civil "We're glad you liked the ending. We're glad you're happy."

All we're doing is voicing our opinion as STRONGLY as we can, and exercising our right to request that Bioware keep true to the promises they made during the entire development of ME3.

So that being said, I respect your opinion that you think this is all for naught. We disagree. And even if it doesn't work out the way we hope, at least we tried.

I can't remember who said it. But a wise man once said "It is better to have tried and failed, than to never have tried at all." This applies here. Now please, let's move on and focus on why we're in this thread. If you support this movement, please go here:
http://social.biowar...45819/1#9846241  and submit your donation. This will not only help an amazing cherity, it will bring good publicity and notice on our movement.

lAright well i'm done. I can't respond to everyone. you all can continue to fight against inevitability , dust fightng against cosmic winds. I'm gonna wait for DLC.

The problem with what you just said, is that it makes far too much sense. BSN members included, have a habit of ignoring posts that make sense.

I beat ME3 feeling disappointed and lied to. I recently replayed Mass Effect (the original) and intend to bring my Shepard through to ME2 and ME3 once again. Hopefully by that time BioWare will have done something about these tasteless endings.
