Yeah, I was still sad when I went into work today. My friend even asked if someone had died.

Is it bad that I said, "Yes."?

Wow...I wish the power went out or my motherboard fried so I had never finished this game. It is a little embarassing to admit, but I honestly had a hard time sleeping last night I was so dissapointed. After years of invested time, I can say that I love the ME universe...I even read the books just to delve deeper into it. To get a conclusion where none of my choices or work mattered was depressing. Anything I did or choose (collectively in all three games) effectively spliters the universal community. That community is what truly shined (for me) in the lore you created. I wont even get into the vague conclusion for all the characters I have gotten to know and care about...

Seeing a universe come together to achieve something amazing was a great story...then the last cutscene happened. You may say I want a Disney ending. However, the way I look at it is if I want a splintered, bitter, reality all I have to do is turn on the news. I play games and read to escape from that. Please Bioware, give one of my favorite scifi cannons a chance to end with some measure of happiness. Despite the recent changes in modern day storytelling, I feel it is ok to walk away with a smile sometimes.

You weren't the only one. I woke up every hour on the hour... And my first thought each time was "I hope it was a nightmare".

Yeah making this stuff costs time and money... if we demand free DLC then that just makes us look even more entitled.

In my day, being ancient at the age of 24, you replaced products free of charge if they're lousy or DOA. It's called good customer relations. And for those of us who have spent well over $100s on the games, DLC, merchendise, etc. it is not entitlement; it's securing a quality product on par with the expectations born of the merit of the company.

I suppose you're right...  but if paying an extra 10 bucks means they can hire Brandon Keener to do more voice acting for Garrus Then I would throw it at them as fast as I can... :pinched:

I just finished the game. And i swear that i had to replay it three times because i couldn't believe what the hell was happening.

The endings are a big plot hole and full of nonsense. I dont know if the game i've just finished is Mass Effect or any other that i never heard of it.

I must admit that i'm shocked. But i still love Bioware and hell Mass Effect 3 is a great game that i enjoyed from the beggining to that damn elevator.

I hope they find a good solution for this.

Understandable!  I felt this way right after I completed it.. I think once it sunk in I realized I didn't want a happy ending, I wanted one that felt complete, one that actually was consequential to my actions taken in the series... what would have been a grand, appropriate finale and amazing moral commentary on paying it forward or looking out for oneself.

Well, we can't base on this assumption to conclude the result.
There is no solid evidence in the game to prove that. However, if that is ture, then every decision i made in the game will change dramatically. anyway

Not really.

Human nature is:

Co-exist
Dominate
Destroy

That is true also for any organic life.

So this is it, we've built up to the end and there's really only 3 choices (see above). If you pick Red or Blue, then you better pray the choices you made before will be enough to defeat the Reapers. But if you co-exist, the Reapers leave. Then your previous choices still matter because they define you.

Seriously, i dont know. They are just trying to do a renegade character or something?

At first they laughed at us because we were a feeble minority, now theyre pointing the finger and saying we're too mainstream or something?

The more twitter i see, the more i feel that the ending they chose was it. And they dont want to change it back, so they'll play mind games on social networks while ignoring the Bioware Social Network...

hahahahahhahaha.  I -loved- this.  I seriously laughed so hard at this.. I really hope it means that they're getting the green light to fix it.  I don't blame the writers for this, I blame the management trying to look good to their rEAper overlords... (I usually don't get upset with EA either.. they've given me lots to beta test in the way of games in the past... got a lot of good freebies and stuff from them, I've got a Need for Speed Staff Edition lying around here somewhere but this screams of contractual deadlines that were inflexible)

I read that Casey Hudson said that in an interview (below), and that makes me very sad. Feels like taken for a ride. With my money..

Quote:
"There are many different endings. We wouldn’t do it any other way. How
could you go through all three campaigns playing as your Shepard and
then be forced into a bespoke ending that everyone gets? But I can’t say
any more than that…

Whether you're happy or angry at the ending, know this: it is an
ending. BioWare will not do a "Lost" and leave fans with more questions
than answers after finishing the game.

I honestly think the player base is going to be really happy with the
way we've done it. You had a part in it. Every decision you've made will
impact how things go. The player's also the architect of what happens."

Synthesis is not co-existence.

To be blunt and honest, I won't care who's fault it was if they fix it.  I'll be too happy bawling my eyes out at my Paragon-influenced-blue-squiddy-kids-and-hot-alien-wife-while-kickin'-back-with-Garrus-ending.  And it will be glorious.

Watching all this, I just gotta say, win or lose we stood up for what matters, we told the giant corporate entity that this isn't right. We want what we and this series deserves. I'm proud to be a part of this group, holding the line.
