I'm off to bed for the night. Keep up the good fight, be polite but persistent with Bioware employees, and as always, Hold the Line.

'Understanding' the ending is pointless. The fact is, the ending is unsatisfactory on so many levels that no manner of comprehension will fix it.

My friend mention a quote when I explained why the ending was so infuriating. I'd say it's pretty accurate.
"A strange game. The only winning move is not to play."

Well, we can't base on this assumption to conclude the result.
There is no solid evidence in the game to prove that. However, if that is ture, then every decision i made in the game will change dramatically. anyway

Not really.

Human nature is:

Co-exist
Dominate
Destroy

That is true also for any organic life.

So this is it, we've built up to the end and there's really only 3 choices (see above). If you pick Red or Blue, then you better pray the choices you made before will be enough to defeat the Reapers. But if you co-exist, the Reapers leave. Then your previous choices still matter because they define you.

I understand... well we only got three choices, do we? The thing is every decision i made in the game i tend to project it in the long run effect. But the problem here is that we don't know much about the aftermath after the choices you made at the end. Like who survive, what happen after mass relay got destroy or where is my crew etc. We are given so little information about it. For a long series such as Mass Effect 3 does need some good answers and at least certain amount of satisfaction ending closure.

I'm not sure what Bioware is thinking right now, but one thing for sure is fans are not really happy with the ending closure .. at least for me

Oh I understood the ending.

I just didn't understand the reasoning behind giving us that ending.

Exactly. I study philosophy and theology, and have 2 more degrees. It´s not about understanding. It's about being bad endings. And why would someone think they are good for the fans, or fit in the game itself.

And how the hell did they think another "dream-like sequence", would be good???

The mother of all "Deus ex machina" endings.

Synthesis is not co-existence.

As I understand the Synth ending is that Organics and Synths come together.

I haven't finished...I've stopped at shutting down the Geth Fighter Squadron...after catching wind of how it ends I don't feel like playing to the end...Tali..:crying:

Heading to bed. I want to say hold the line.. but I'm so pumped at this point I'd rather yell Vanguards Forward! or something. Hoping I wake up tomorrow and BW/EA have put out a press release clarifying things.

Hey it might be kind of off topic, but i tried my best and never made it happen : Can you die/ get hurt during the final charge for the beam? I tried to put myself right in the middle of the beam and i never get hurt.

@JessicaMerizan I feel truly unsatisfied by the ending, tbh. There is no falling action, in a narrative sense. Hope that's not it for ME

I'm already assembling the camping shower. As for sustenance, I have secured a marvelously tender meat... perhaps they shouldn't of had "Fluffy" declawed after all.

so yea iam dyslexic (and dont care much for punctuations) so i dont post on any fourms much but i must say when i beat the game at 4am on the 2nd day it came out i can say i was in shock a game put me into shock my body shut down and my mind went blank i just could not belive that Bioware a company that i love so much could do that to me/us funny thing was about 5days before it came out my friend and i where talking on Skype about how we both hoped they have a ending where the Reapers blow everything up because we thought hey your going to stop them right so we dont need to hope for a ending here everything is semi happy because as it is the ending is an abomination to the game.  thing just dont make sence at all such as why whould Joker a person who you had to pull out of his seat in ME2 as SR-1 was in flames around him and throw into a escape pod and tell you in the bar how he is sorry and how it was his fault and bla bla why whould he be runing away? and two why can you live through a Harbinger lazer to the face but not a "small" reaper lazer to the face and why in the Arrival DLC when a Mass Relay goes boom a whole solar system is destoyed so does that mean all the options are pointless because with all the Mass Relay's going boom every major system will be destoryed and the rest will starve or suffocate from the lack of supplys and even if the Mass Relay's did go supernova the Citadel is in orbit above earth and well no matter how that thing is blown up its only about 200-300 miles above the earth so you can kiss earth good bye where every important person in the galaxy is at  the time

sorry if its unreadable but as it is my thoughts are a mess because i just dont understand this abomination of an ending iam left with iam just praying that its all just a dream and some time after Japan gets there ME3 Bioware will be like here is the end sorry about the mind **** but we wanted everyone a chance to play it before we told you what really happens

What I still don't understand is, if the indoctrination theory is true, why the **** is the Normandy and the crew mates that come out of it stuck in a planet with jungles? o.O Am I the only one mindf**ked about this?

The ending is a big tease...

Harbinger is trying to indoctrinate Shepard in order to do that he made Shepard choose the fate sooooo. If you pick destroy harbinger's indoctrination failed so Shepard then wakes up right after the sprint when harbinger shot Shepard with the beam

Still, makes sense as it is, it is poorly executed.

I rarely post on forums, but finishing the game, I just had to scream a little. Oh boy was I shocked to see this thread being around 900 pages and counting. I do feel betrayed and hurt by the endings. Ever since my best friend lent my his copy I fell in love with this series. When me and my group of friends got talking about games I was always like "You guys should play Mass Effect." They all finally caved and are playing the first one now and are constantly telling me how much they love it. My best friend and I were so excited about grabbing our copies and being able for the first time play it around the same time. Now that I've completed the game I have this feeling of dread for when my friends get to the end. I can't even warn them because we have this strict no spoiler policy on games we are all playing. I feel in a way I let them down. I got all of them invested in this series. I know that I will eventually get over the ending. I'm not going to let 10 minutes of terrible ruin 100+ hours of amazing. How are they going to take it?
