Still waiting to "take earth back". That doesn't include burning earth to a crisp.

I was thinking the Keepers were the creators of the reapers and they would be the key...........a kill switch or something

Wonder how many people will remake the ending....lol:whistle:

OMG!

Those fiends...I figured it out

They want US to 'write' the ending and they'll put it into a $20 DLC as a tribute to the fan-chise (pun). And the fans will clamour about how great the company is.

At this point I hope it's all a bad joke and put a dlc with the real ending
maybe kicking the child-reaper to infinity and beyond

So is anyone else still using this thread daily as a sort of anti-depressant?

I mean seriously Bioware; if you knew how badly you destroyed some of your fans on an emotional level...

Well, my toughts on the game that it was wonderful up to the last 15 minutes where BioWare trashed the whole franchise they've been building 5 years, created major plot holes wich are makes no sense at all, they made all my decisions in 3 games completly worthless. For 2 days i felt depressed, empty... still not believing that they came up with something like this and no one at the top asked "Will our fans be satisfied with this bull***t?" 2 of my friends finished the game aswell, they've been huge fans like me and they feel the same way... cheated into believing every aspect of the game will matter in the end... Well i remember the phrase the 1st game was promoted 5 years ago it goes "Many decisions lie ahead, none of them easy". After finishing the third i think the more appropriate is "Many decisions lied ahead, none of them mattered." At least we can import our favorite color into the CGI cinematic :[. The saddest thing is that the whole ending gives another perspective to Drew Karpyshyn lefting BW a couple of months ago. So if BW keeps these "endings" (wich are almost identical to each other) and doesn't make an ending wich the series deserve, then in my opinion the whole franchise is FUBAR.

I've been watching their tweets. The BioWare and EA employees are completely ignoring us now. Or at least acting like we're not saying what were saying. I saw Mike Gamble post this morning that they have gotten tons of great feedback and to keep it coming. The official Mass Effect twitter doesn't ignore us, it childishly takes shots at us. But the good news is that everyone else sees what we are doing. We've been noticed by major gaming publications and we will have an effect. Keep holding the line. Keelah Se'lai.

Im more baffled by the fact Shepard did not listen to Saren or T.I.M, . But when a Space god reaper star child tells him to do something he just goes "kay"

What did you guys think the Crucible was going to be?

I thought it was going to be some sort of EMP that would work on and only target the Reapers.

Good question, although if you look at the definition of crucible, it makes you wonder...

cru·ci·ble n.[/i]1. A vessel made of a refractory substance such as graphite or porcelain, used for melting and calcining materials at high temperatures.2. A severe test, as of patience or belief; a trial. 3. A place, time, or situation characterized by the confluence of powerful intellectual, social, economic, or political forces:
Hmmm......

I thought it was just the macguffin to help push the plot along, get everyone allied and in the same place. I thought it would end up not working, or at least not being wholly effective (maybe it drops the Reapers shields or something that weakens them.) Then I expected the Allied Forces of the Galaxy to realize they could fight the Reapers without it.

From there I expected to get a logical ending based on my previous choices and preparations, obviously. <_<

I think based on the last two definitions there it would be fitting if it had done something like that. The confluence of all the races at this one point. The war is obviously a severe test and hinged on hope/belief.

I'm just going to headcanon and pretend The Doctor showed up in the TARDIS and whisked Shepard to safety.  Oh and somehow repaired the mass relays with his sonic screwdriver

What? It's no more absurd than what we already have Image IPB

That idea passed my mind also, that they had no idea how to finish the game, so they're waiting for input from the fans. there are already many very well-written or thought through endings that were made by fans.

IF it does happen, I hope they'd at least credit the right people.

Speaking of "tragic endings", I'd like to link this judgement of the quite infamous ending of Neverwinter Nights 2.

I wasn't expecting Ammon to clap us on the back and say "Great job kid, now let's go home," but it'd be better than what we got. As it is, all our work, all our effort invested into NWN2 as a game is undone in seconds because Obsidian wanted a 'tragic' ending. It is tragic, mind, but only for the player.

Same here. Or maybe it's a switcher for reapers, 'cause someone created 'em a long time ago for it's purpose. That was I actually hope for.
