So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Now I'm really glad its "just" a story (a damn good one at that!) and I can just close it and use my own fantasy to end it the way I want.
If you are unsure how to make a good ending...DONT! Leave it open. I read six books through Steven King's "Dark Tower", and in the end he allows the reader to imagine how it keeps going. Its a masterpiece storytelling.
The ending of ME3 has just one advantage...I can now play all the story with top Renegade score without having the sour note in my mind that I might sacrifice something I learned to hold dear in over 100 hours of gameplay. It all goes to hell in the end anyways.
Last point: I'll never romance anyone again in a Bioware game. I was so looking forward to little blue children!
Now, to the multiplayer...

Funny thing, on DA:2 the community was largely divided, in this case everything points to a mass outrage.

Almost makes me want to play Knights of the Old Repubic again to see how a real ending looked like. Hell good old Freelancer had a nice ending. Story cheesy as hell but I could care less.
Go play Xenosaga, if your want a thee part space opera that is a real RPG with a real ending... you gotta have a stomach for anime, though.^^

Right now I think the sh!t storm is 10 times bigger than that storm on Mars. Doesn't look good does it BioWare?
Problem is, the storm will eventually go way, and all of this will be a minor setback for Bioware/EA. As we have seen, there are enough people around who "liked" the game (eventhough they may be brain dead).
Just remember DA2 and its failure. Bioware just moved on from it as if nothing had happened. Now, let'g go further back to the game Star Wars Galaxies, and its combat upgrades. That was a really great game until SOE messed it up so badly, every one ended up leaving it. But it didn't affect SOE as much, since its still selling its products around.
You may call me a cynic, but I have been there before, ´I´ve had this hollow feeling before, the denial, the anger, everything, and it the end, nothing changed, because we are just sheeps to be harvested by the gaming industry, If we don't like the game, too bad for us,, but they won't do anything about it, since it's not in their best interest to do it. They will never apologize or admit they were wrong; and if we don't buy from them anymore, it doesn't matter for there are plenty of customers around the globe.
All I know is what I will do, and that means, I will never again play/buy/rent any Bioware/EA games in my life. I´ve done it to SOE to the point where I refuse to even buy Sony products, not only games. And for everyone else feeling as hollow as I do, I wish I could tell you to have faith and keep the hopes high, but honestly, go look for something else to do, for this is not going anywhere...
P.S. I am still checking the forums to see if they will dare release an official statement.

It's funny you mention that. Max Payne 2 came up in a conversation about game endings a few days ago and I just made an off-hand remark about the "Dead on Arrival" difficulty setting's alternate ending. I thought it was common knowledge, but the other person's eyes shot wide open and he said, "What?!" [spoilers for Max Payne 2 ahead] For almost 10 years, this person (a fan of the series) had thought that the version where Mona Sax dies was the only ending.Max Knight wrote...
you know all they would have to do is pull of a max payne 2 type of ending. on easy, normal, and hard you get those endings we curently have. And on isanity you get the ultimate ending ending where everyone does not get a shaft the size of the citadel up their colective behinds.
yeah the Dead in Arival was pain in the ass but totaly worth it. Would it be realy that hard for comapy that gave us BG DA and ME 1 and 2 to pull of somethin like this.

I really don't understand BW's PR stance, here. They should say something, anything. Leaving this to fester is a terrible idea.

When a poll was made on DA2, 53% still liked the game.
Looking a lot different this time.

Emphasis on "corporate" - they want to make money. Leaving us out in the cold hurts their bottom line. It's foolish.

that's when the "breath" scene should have played followed by something to show that the fight for earth was not yet done...
faint voices calling out Shep's name, Anderson & Squadmates you took with you

"I love how the opinion idiot on IGN did a video calling anyone who was unhappy with the ending to mass effect 3 too dumb to understand it. He also continues that petitioning a game company for ANYTHING is apparently childish and entitled. Little does he know that going onto a major, supposedly unbiased, review site and calling people who have a problem with the ending entitled morons because you disagree with them is the pinnacle of hypocrisy."

You know... just such a minor change would have stopped all the pain right there... oh my god, BW blew it.^^

Play the Phantasy Star trilogy instead (PS, PSII, PS End of the Millenium, III is not part of it), that had a fantastic story and ending, although highly marred by Sega America's extremely shoddy and incorrect translation of End of the Millenium, although it was set over 100's of years.
