Welcome to Corporate Arrogance.

Let's make sure to keep this civil and give Bioware the benefit of the doubt for now. That's the only way that the people in this thread will be taken seriously. I'm a fairly pessimistic person myself, but even I'd like to hold off on anything until we hear from them.

You have to remember: the game doesn't release in Japan until the 15th, which is the last place that's getting it. We'll probably hear something sometime after the 15th so just hold on a little longer.

If we are too dumb to understand, then instead of being so unbias, he should explain.

I just read this and it deserves repeating: for people who haven't played ME, i try to make them understand the pain of the ending by relating it to another series (ie harry potter). imagine if harry, right at the final battle, was teleported on top of hogwarts, and a transparent dobby told him he could either control voldemort, blow him up, or make everyone half snake-man. no matter what harry chooses, all broomsticks and cars blow up, and ron and hermione end up stranded on the moon.

Problem is, the storm will eventually go way, and all of this will be a minor setback for Bioware/EA. As we have seen, there are enough people around who "liked" the game (eventhough they may be brain dead).

Just remember DA2 and its failure. Bioware just moved on from it as if nothing had happened. Now, let'g go further back to the game Star Wars Galaxies, and its combat upgrades. That was a really great game until SOE messed it up so badly, every one ended up leaving it. But it didn't affect SOE as much, since its still selling its products around.

You may call me a cynic, but I have been there before, ´I´ve had this hollow feeling before, the denial, the anger, everything, and it the end, nothing changed, because we are just sheeps to be harvested by the gaming industry, If we don't like the game, too bad for us,, but they won't do anything about it, since it's not in their best interest to do it. They will never apologize or admit they were wrong; and if we don't buy from them anymore, it doesn't matter for there are plenty of customers around the globe.

All I know is what I will do, and that means, I will never again play/buy/rent any Bioware/EA games in my life. I´ve done it to SOE to the point where I refuse to even buy Sony products, not only games. And for everyone else feeling as hollow as I do, I wish I could tell you to have faith and keep the hopes high, but honestly, go look for something else to do, for this is not going anywhere...

P.S. I am still checking the forums to see if they will dare release an official statement.

It will only end if we let it. Bioware/EA will just move on if we go silent. Right now that poll people keep linking is at 30k votes for new endings I think. Say those 30k people do not buy DLC, usually 10 to 7 dollars. That is 300k loss in sales. They will see and feel that in their wallets, and hopefully get things changed.

Even if nothing happens, things don't change and they only release Multiplayer Map packs and weapons and skins. That doesn't mean we should just go silent and keep quiet about something that is wrong with this game. That is how corprate wins, when the masses give up because it may not change anything. Stand by your morals and let your voice be heard...or read in this case.

Well, just finished the storyline and I got to say...

Now I'm really glad its "just" a story (a damn good one at that!) and I can just close it and use my own fantasy to end it the way I want.
If you are unsure how to make a good ending...DONT! Leave it open. I read six books through Steven King's "Dark Tower", and in the end he allows the reader to imagine how it keeps going. Its a masterpiece storytelling.

The ending of ME3 has just one advantage...I can now play all the story with top Renegade score without having the sour note in my mind that I might sacrifice something I learned to hold dear in over 100 hours of gameplay. It all goes to hell in the end anyways.

Last point: I'll never romance anyone again in a Bioware game. I was so looking forward to little blue children!
Now, to the multiplayer...

Oh yes, BioWare owes me some little blue children, too. I'll never forget that :( .

I don't know, I think Bioware are more interested in the multiplayer. Looks like a new dlc might be coming out soon.

I am more than positive if anything was planned before the release of the game it would be announced at the PAX panel.  It remains to be seen if they changed their minds about that though.  I really do not know what to think.  I honestly don't think they will change their plans if they had any.  It could work for them in the end, all this publicity, if it turned from negative to positive if they gave people news they were happy about.  I just do not know what to think.

Just signing in to also express my frustration with the game. I can tolerate endings that might not be as "happy" as I'd have liked if the sorrow served a purpose. This is just bad writing, and a slap in the face for all of us who fell for the "your choices matter" sales pitch.

^this^ I love bitter sweet endings..... but these endings were not Bitter sweet. They were not anything but rage inducing.... <_<

Decisions we've made throughout ME1 and ME2 will alter the stage in Mass Effect 3, says Casey Hudson. Taking your time gives an "amazing, very definitive ending."

I am fine with the fact that the endings are not a Happy go Lucky, I fully expected Shepard to die (well as we all know at least in most of the endings), it is the amount of plotholes and unanswered questions that make the endings terrible.
As far as Bioware/EA responding, I really think they won't say anything until about a month. They will wait until most players who have bought the game have beaten it. However, I expect those to finish the game to feel the same way as all of us. The community and fanbase has already spoken loudly and jointly. More will join the cause.
Boo Bioware why did you sell your souls to EA!! Sad Day :(

So about the end...I don't know what happened with you all. Humanity and other species faced an enemy never seen before with incomprehensible power. Shepards path from beginning was about to fail, but despite that they go on again and again on the long road of sacrifice. I don't know what do you expect guys in the end, a fairytale or something even with a pink fog or something, but we see was the way of war. And Shepard made the ultimatce sacrifice to save all organic life.  In the end I am not saying that I was happy, because it is not true, but I am very satisfied with it.

And for Bioware I would like to say a thousand thanks for this brilliant story, a mark in the computer game history, and I'd like to rally you not to forget this universe that you created..there is still so many potential in it. The best single player game experience ever.
So in the very end, keep up the good thing.
Your sincerely, D.

I am still here, and I will not be silenced. Everyone must know what was done to us, but honestly, I don't see things changing in the near future. The best we will get is "We thought it was the best ending" statement from Bioware/EA before they move on to the next big release. I just hope whoever decides to mess up ME3 as they did, pays for it....

^This is the exact reason. I see a lot of people now bashing Bioware because of their silence. Let's not devolve into that! This thread has been great and we want to keep it that way! The longer we go on being civil and courteous the better chance we have of being taken seriously.
