True, I remember seeing The Fox and The Hound as a kid and I cried for days but more often than not, disney has "adapted" fairytales to make them happier.

A lot of us feel the same as you, however, to be more than the gaming media is making us out to be we have to keep things civil. Bioware reads these forums, so they know what we're really saying. We keep this cool and they'll realize we're not just a bunch of entitled gamers. We're concerned gamers who love the Mass Effect franchise.

I could respond with some negativity to the way they percieve us. But, nah...toast is too delicious

Its not exactly news from Bioware or EA but this is a good article from forbes that really puts things in perspective www.forbes.com/sites/erikkain/2012/03/13/mass-effect-3-and-the-pernicious-myth-of-gamer-entitlement/. Everyone here should read this its a very good article that even touches on what the guy at IGN said.

Imho the IGN guy was just acting like a tool to look cool.

However, I am rather shocked (pleaseantly) that Forbes has posted articles over this whole thing. o_O

We are not just gamers or fans. We are also consumers. I think a lot of those against us forget this part.

Agreed, I understand that the game hasn't been released in all placees, but couldn't they just post something on the fourms where spoilers are allowed?

Yes. I have poured too much money in this series with buying all the games, DLC, novels, and other merch just to have the rug pulled out under me in the last five minutes.

You know, that trailer just came on again at work. I had to rush to the bathroom acting like I was about to be sick so I could cry without causing any form of spectacle. And then I DID get sick. Just from the stress and depression this has caused.

I think I've regressed but I'm back to denial. I can't reconcile this interview: http://www.gameinfor...PostPageIndex=2 with what we actually ended up with.

I was firmly in depression this afternoon but now I'm right back to the start (denial). I'm all for the 'the script got leaked so we're trolling you all to think you got crap endings' theory. I think at some point soon (probably after the Japan release) they're going to come out with a nice chunky download that they had sitting there all along which will give us a proper set of endings. Gaming press will go absolutely mental over the controversy, Mass Effect will be on everyone's lips, EA execs will continue to laugh and roll around in baths full of money ... and us? Well we'll be outraged but we'll also be happy our game series actually ended properly.

I was personally hoping for a MGS4 ending with closure of all plot holes and all characters getting closure. and instead we get the worst ham-fisted plot hole ripping ending I have ever seen.

What really gets my goat is that the ending seems contrived to be, well, almost spiteful of the player. I mean, as it stands now, Shep lives, the Normandy crew lives, and Shep's LI lives. So what was the point of separating them by lightyears and then blowing up the mass relays so there's no way for them to get back together? Especially since it involves introducing no fewer than three major plotholes to do so?

That... it's just... I mean, come on.
