I'm starting to see some arguments forming between some people. Please guys, we're all in this together if we start fighting amongst ourselves this whole movement will crumble and will be for naught. We have to stay strong and accept that some people were happy with the ending. And to those that like the ending, it's not that the rest of us don't get it, we all expected there would be options for tragic endings to the story. But for many of us, we wanted our main Shepards to be happy and to succeed even if it is a little cheesy. There's a reason that most of us have more than one Shepard though, we wanted to see all the endings, tragic, happy, and everything in between.
I know there have been people who have the said the same things as I have here, but this thread is moving fast and I think we need a little reminder of why we're here every once in a while.
Stay strong,
Hold the Line
My feelings exactly. I go through all the different plot choices just to see what happens in them. Though I admit, I couldn't bring myself to side with Legion or shoot Mordin, had to watch those on youtube. Still, for my main Shep, she deserves at least a moderately happy ending after everything she's been through!
And to those people who liked the ending, there's nothing wrong with that. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions. And most of us here would be fine if those endings stayed in. What we want is for them to be expanded on, explained more, or to be given more options. Not to take them away completely. That way everybody can be happy. Those who loved the endings get to keep them, and those who didn't can get an ending that we feel is a fitting tribute to the amazing series that many of us have loved for years, and that we've invested so much time and energy into. To leave things as they are does Bioware's writing team a disservice. We've all seen what incredible things they can do with a story (take my above examples for instance). We know they
can give us truly amazing endings that would give us closure and a sense that
our choices actually mattered.
