When I saw the Catalyst present me with three choices, I was very confused as to what I should do. I just went for the synthetic ending as it seems like the best, but now even for my paragon shepard, I think Renegade endings are best, as they destroy the Reapers. However, they destroy the memory of Legion and the Geth, which really annoyed me. Legion sacrificed himself to create a peace with the Geth and Quarians and then a few hours later it was for nothing. That really showed me the team did not have a end plan here.

Same, my friend. I was very distraught with the choices. All are bad. And without the relays as you later stated, there is no Mass Effect.

Rumors of a MMO are pathetic in a Mass Effect universe with no relays. Placed with Shepard somehow alive in London, via the Indoctrination Theory or the even less likely "space magic" saved him, and you have an ending that is either expandable (DLC, Expansion) or a ***ty excuse for art.

There are 2 sides to every war. It's inevitable that some people will not agree with us. All we can do is keep up the fight, and hold the line!

The problem is BioWare people are ignoring one side while prasing the other. Looks like they are still hoping all this protest will quetly die away.

So much of the drama in Mass Effect comes from the choices you make. This one choice, whose stakes outweigh anything that came before, is introduced in the final scene by a character you've never met before and you don't have any way to understand what the consequences of it are.

The most basic question an ending should answer is "what happened?" After seeing the Mass Effect ending, I just don't know what happened, and what little I do know is confused and contradictory.

Indeed. Those reporters are a nasty breed. ^_^

Edit. And apparently Florida wants a deficit. That rebel state.

Keep this in mind everyone..
A game dictates that someone wins, someone loses. As it stands, ME3 has no winners, ergo its not a game. it's something else, a travesty..

Sadly it seems the staff at Bioware want to sit on their hands and not answer our questions about why they did this to us. So far all we get is them saying we aren't smart enough to comprehend an ending that made no sense.

Glad to see you and all our friends back here today. Have a good holding of the line. ^_^

Good to see you on here as well, I will continue to press this issue whether it take, a week, 2 months, or 10 years to be dealt with. When i spend my money on a pre-order, or a game in general I expect top quality production. Not half assed lazy design. They took my game and ruined my Shepard hell yes I joined retake ME3. (internets if you see what I did there.)

...this was more emotionally impacting than the ending. Even without a cutscene I could still see it playing out in my head. This audio file alone was enough to make me cry. Whereas the ending didn't do anything but leave me dumbfounded.

This would have been an amazing end...why...

Wow, I would've been completely satisfied if the game ended right there.

My face through the end of ME3:

Thought that might cheer some people up.

Shouldn't the kid be balling its eyes out at the begining instead of smilling? ;)

No, I loved most of ME3. It was only at the end I reacted that way.

So did I, but I cried a hell of a lot during it.  I was crying at the ending when Anderson died and I thought my Shepard would die there with him, it was torture but so very beautiful.  My face slowly went from the crying to the baby's face during the next 5 minutes with space kid and then crying again as I saw the Normandy trying to outrun the explosion thinking "great, now Joker dies as well, haven't I been through enough over the past 38hrs?" Then MORE tears for the flash of Joker, Garrus and KAIDAN as Shepard blasted towards the destroy option, and it was right back to baby face when I saw Joker, Kaidan and Garrus on jungle planet.  I was happy Kaidan and Garrus were alive but Kaidan would never look that happy, his man just got blown to space dust.  Then the final W...T...F!? moment came with the old dude with the bad acting.  "So now it was all a dream? Seriously????"  Then tears again....

I do not understand how or why Bioware seems to be taking the "everything is rosy" approach to this. How can they possibly point to articles in their favour for evidence, while completely ignoring irate fans? It seems to me that a game company should care more about the people buying their product than the people writing about it.

no, even if retweetet by bioware. means nothing.

It does show they are not taking this situation seriously yet. Otherwise they would not inflame already angry fans by doing this.

For the first time I'm optimistic - Bioware's people are now so DEFENSIVE over the world wide fan criticism it reeks of acute desperation. They are feeling the heat to the point of lashing out at fan reaction in so unthinking a fashion as to appear petty and downright silly. The heat has become so intense of BW - they are on the verge of collapse. We see today acute bitterness form them aimed us their customers. THAT is PURE PANIC! HOLD THE LINE!

Any person writing something losses their credibility when writes something as stupid as "The writers’ hands are obviously at work early in the game". No kidding??? The writers have their hand from the beginning? Wow.

So sad that someone from BW posted this as a shut up to the paying customers-fans. They should come up with their own things, or nothing at all. Die with your vision, or say something yourself. But don't post this in the middle of a problem with your customers. Don´t hide behind bad articles like this from Penny-Arcade.

I'm starting to grow tired of this =/ I wonder how long we can keep it up... I'm starting to feel really depressed... once again.
I can see Bioware telling us "You didn't understand it! it was like this... and that..." or even worse they could pick up the indoctrination theory the forums nicely created and say it was their idea from the start...

Ah the cheesiness... the three colours... Even after reading all the possible outcomes (the 16 "shades" of colour) I can't feel any better...

Some people say we all just want the Hollywood cliche' ending... I think we already got it, even tragic/bad endings can be a cliche', not only happy ones... I've seen better endings than this on anime of the lowest quality... The story sounds like something foolish people who want to feel/look smart may come up with...

I feel wounded inside... Just leave me behind... I'll curl up in a corner and die, you all go on =_=

So does Aria die as it stands now? She was on the Citadel. Maybe they could have the excuse in DLC that she didn't and that she is back on Omega.

It is in the quiet times when a war is won or lost. When a soldier has time to look out of the trench and see the barbed wire and death all around the war is won, or lost, in that instant.
