I'm pretty sure people from Bioware know about this ongoing rage. However, the question is will they do anything about the ending in order to satify the majority of bioware fans .. or simply do nothing and let the fire burn until it went silence... one day.
I don't think the ending choices were the main issue. It is the problem with lack of a strong and solid closure for different endings.

Do not waste your time, none of those people will ever understand the attachement we have to the games.  They obviously never became emotionally invested.  I didn't know just how much I as invested in this series until ME3 made me a blubbering mess throughout most of it.

Any person writing something losses their credibility when writes something as stupid as "The writers’ hands are obviously at work early in the game". No kidding??? The writers have their hand from the beginning? Wow.

So sad that someone from BW posted this as a shut up to the paying customers-fans. They should come up with their own things, or nothing at all. Die with your vision, or say something yourself. But don't post this in the middle of a problem with your customers. Don´t hide behind bad articles like this from Penny-Arcade.

Exactly! Anyway, if I'm bying a car why the hell on earth I can't yell at manufacturer for broken seats? If it isn't vital (99% of car still operationable) there's still one percent. But we're not screaming like ‘Give our money back!’, we just want a cure for a sickness of disappointment.

So does Aria die as it stands now? She was on the Citadel. Maybe they could have the excuse in DLC that she didn't and that she is back on Omega.

No... she is dead no matter what, so is everyone we blew up the relays..... and if you played "arrival" you know what happens when we blow up a relay.....

Actually, maybe Retake Omega would also include a new ending. Maybe retaking Omega and helping Aria, changes the tide of the war for some reason and would thus generate a new ending.

If they would do that, that would be two birds with one stone

Well, I just swung back to anger again ...

Honestly, I think the whole entitlement buzzword is apt.  But where it should be applied is "developer entitlement".  Where they can do no wrong and contemplate the artistic qualities of the mass-produced consumer product they make regardless of how it is received by the consumers.  If the consumers don't "get it" then you don't get a job.

I got back and we have increased 50 pages (I believe we can reach 1000 by tonight) and this happened...this makes me so sad...:crying:

So not only has Bioware screwed the ending, but they are also being insulting toward their customers.

Perfect. Let's cancel that swtor subscription now.

Edit: Subscription canceled and I added a comments when doing it, mentioning Mass Effect 3 and how insulting Bioware was in handling that issue. They don't get any money from me anymore.

Did that yesterday :( Only way I can make sure no more of my money goes to them.

Hey they answered me:

Me: @masseffect Why is there no reaction to your loyal fanbase? You know what I'm talkin about.

BW: @khrebornfx We hear what our community is saying, thank you for your input.

Me: @masseffect But we hear nothing from you! Can we expect something in the near future?

Lets hope for a satisfying answer.

My face through the end of ME3:

Thought that might cheer some people up.

Shouldn't the kid be balling its eyes out at the begining instead of smilling? ;)

No, I loved most of ME3. It was only at the end I reacted that way.

So did I, but I cried a hell of a lot during it.  I was crying at the ending when Anderson died and I thought my Shepard would die there with him, it was torture but so very beautiful.  My face slowly went from the crying to the baby's face during the next 5 minutes with space kid and then crying again as I saw the Normandy trying to outrun the explosion thinking "great, now Joker dies as well, haven't I been through enough over the past 38hrs?" Then MORE tears for the flash of Joker, Garrus and KAIDAN as Shepard blasted towards the destroy option, and it was right back to baby face when I saw Joker, Kaidan and Garrus on jungle planet.  I was happy Kaidan and Garrus were alive but Kaidan would never look that happy, his man just got blown to space dust.  Then the final W...T...F!? moment came with the old dude with the bad acting.  "So now it was all a dream? Seriously????"  Then tears again....

Honestly, I was prepared and wasn't crying yet. I didn't cry until afterwards when I saw the ending - if the ending had been good and Shepard got the actual heroic death she deserved, I'm sure I'd have cried then, too, but out of the bittersweet, good ending for the series, and not the disappointment...

Lol Omega is the new Citadel and it has a better Catalyst.

My biggest issue is the Normandy fleeing at the end... Would the crew of the USS Enterprise would leave Picard to die? Would the crew of Battlestar Galactica leave Commander Adama to die? Would the crew of Serenity leave Captain Reynolds to die? I'm sorry, but I cannot see the crew of the SSV Normandy making no attempt to save Commander Shepard or simply staying to fight.

I say again - For the first time I'm optimistic - Bioware's people are now so DEFENSIVE over the world wide fan criticism it reeks of acute desperation. They are feeling the heat to the point of lashing out at fan reaction in so unthinkable a fashion as to appear petty and downright silly. The heat has become so intense at BW - they are on the verge of collapse. We see today acute bitterness from them aimed us their customers. THAT is PURE PANIC! HOLD THE LINE!

Well if it was a dream that doesn't really happen, but the Citadel was moved no matter what.

They had a story, they told it. If you don't like how it ends that not Bioware's problem. I don't think they should change the ending for anyone. They should end it however way they want its their story, we're just along for the ride.

I do not understand how or why Bioware seems to be taking the "everything is rosy" approach to this. How can they possibly point to articles in their favour for evidence, while completely ignoring irate fans? It seems to me that a game company should care more about the people buying their product than the people writing about it.

Trying to make themselves feel better, and look better.

But... that's suicide, really. Without having people around who are willing to buy your product, you're sunk.

They've done it before, with DA2.

This sh*storm is way bigger. It has already been mentioned in creditable press. If Bioware can ignore something like this we can safely assume they dont give a damn about fans.

This is what Bioware always does when someone insults their writing, they just copy and past a link to someone who says they are good at writing...... and then call us stupid for not understanding their "vision"

disgruntled gamers who didn't get their happily ever after

from: http://www.computera...vitable/?page=2

It's one thing to call people that voice their opinion 'idiotic' it's an entirely different thing however to throw around lines such as the one I quoted above. Invasion rarely leaves a happy ending, I sincerely hope this is obvious to everybody (well, apparently not).

Everyone bashing the part of the community that is not satisfied with the ending seems to not get the point that there has been a significant amount of potential wasted on a flimsy ending. You don't introduce new characters in the last 5 minutes, that's just not worthy of a trilogy that started off so nicely.
Imagine: Frodo drops the ring into Mount Doom, Sauron and his army is destroyed but alas, in the last minutes Morgoth from whom in the 3rd age you've merely heard of swoops down and kills everyone - sucks, right?

ME3 can be sad, leave devastation, ask for hard choices but at least make it worthy of rememberance... people won't remember the end, they'll remember everything prior to that.

Penny Arcade's head writer actually has posted something on their page. And while he is refraining (wisely) from clearly taking a side on the issue (especially since his partner has not finished yet), he does express something that I interpret as empathy for our cause. I would say that we would be unwise to dismiss the influence that Penny Arcade can exercise, in spite of some of the snide remakes by one of their employees.

At best, we my have a powerful ally, and at worst, I honestly believe they will give us a fair hearing.
