The german game review said that the game ended with no loose ends. Isn't the normandy crew off on some random planet stranded along with your LI a lose end?
I'm still neutral with the endings until I have played the game and experience it on my own. For me personally, I kinda felt that ending won't be a happy one since knowing about how the reapers work but I can understand why some people would not be satisfied with the endings. It's not that they're depressing kind of endings (heck, RAGE possibly had an even worse ending), but the fact that it made all the choices that we have made in the previous two games seemed like it doesn't have that serious impact at all since all things are determined by a push of a button (which button that is depends on you). DAO managed to do this with its multiple endings that relies heavily on the choices that you made yet ME didn't. It's still 50-50 though till we finally get the game in our hands.
However, with all these leaked endings, I do sense that maybe they are planning some DLCs or expansions or another game that ties to this ending.
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

The more I think about it, the more this has to be a troll. Why in the world would they make an ending that is impossible not to get that makes it so your FAVORITE characters are lost forever? Bioware has always been known for fan service, they wouldn't do that.
They are not Bioware you thought you knew, they are the Bioware EA needs them to be.
JJ
Why would EA want bioware to make endings that fans would not like?

You did something. Stopped the reapers.
But the repercussions make no sense. Take the merge ending for example, Liberate galaxy from Reapers, become space Jesus and employ space magic across the galaxy to make everything half synthetic half organic?
That sounds like fanfiction to me man, poorly written one at that.

Im going to wait until after the game comes out and we start getting substantiated posts on the endings. If the endings are , indeed , like they are saying, then me3 is just a sub par shooter not worth 60 bucks. in 6 months ill be able to pick it up for 10 bucks on steam or whatever. I think it will be worth 10 bucks.
You're still halfway in denial aren't you? The endings are real.

Yes, we can't have a fairy tale disney ending were millions are killed and several alien races are all but extinguished, but most of the Normandy crew and Shepard survive, and help rebuild. Life's not all sprinkles and gumdrops.
War is hell, and any ending that doesn't involve Shepard crying alone in the dark, while listening to Fall Out Boy and cutting himself, is a bad ending!
Sarcasm doesn't translate very well over the internet it seems.
I'm with you 100%. After putting up with Infamous 2, FF13-2, and Dances with Dragons this year, I need something at least remotely uplifting. I mean... the most uplifting game I've played in months was Deadily Premonition... Bleh.
Give me a break and let me have a bittersweet ending, Bioshock! Even the "perfect" ending sounds just plain bitter.

With that being said, I still think the game, and journey, is gonna be great though - even with the various bitter (no sweet really imo) endings.

The sweet tears from the biodrones in this topic are AWESOME.
Like I asked before, who are the biodrones now?
The ones who say "Go BioWare! I love those endings!", the ones who say "Boo BioWare! Those endings suck!" or those who actually who are "Please BioWare, give us something that is still dark but hopeful for our crew/Shepard"?

Well, I know what I did as soon as I cancelled my ME3 preorder: preordered Bioshock.
Bioshock 2 is how to have a bittersweet ending, regardless of what you thought of the game. It was touching and powerful, without being depressing.

This is just too far. We don't need a rainbows and butterflies ending; we need something that makes us feel like what we've done over the past 3 games means something.
You did something. Stopped the reapers.
Yay. Except we stop the Reapers in every ending unless you screw up royaly. I would rather lose the galaxy and keep the team and Shepard together instead.
Okay what?
You are so selfish in your need to see shepard happy ever ****ing after that you'd rather the WHOLE OF THE GALAXY with tens of millions of people and plants and animals and stuff die JUST so you get to have your fairy princess ending?
SERIOUSLY?

I still have yet to come to a legitimate reason why the Normandy is in the middle of nowhere and why Bioware would believe that this is in any way a good idea.
This is why: EA wants more games with Shepard. Wiping out the crew makes all of those choices moot, so they can start fresh.

At least my Nord hero defeated Alduin and got to live happily with his wife in Solitude. Bethsda know how to give good endings: leave it all up to the players imagination.
