www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/721696/mass-effect-3-the-ending-dlc-and-same-sex-relationships-sesslers-soapbox/
One of the less knee-jerk critic reactions to our outporing. However, I have to wonder why so many of the "vidyagame critics" out there are pretty generally against what we're doing.
I think there is a bit of disconnect between the gamer community and journalists because of what their jobs entail. They need to keep up good rapport with these companies in order to get exclusives, free games and merchandise, press event invites, advertising, etc. So in a case like this, critics siding with us would be going against the company that put tons of money in their pockets (advertising) and could cause problems in the future.
So we can't get the ending we want after all?

Read the reply to Allison Norfolk.
I can't link it as this laptop is a toaster and will die, I am sure someone can folllow this up with a link.
If they have something big planned why would you let your fanbase fester, just seems odd.
Amazing marketing and hype building in some senses, but really a vert dangerous double edged sword.

I had a feeling, when playing the demo, that the kid wasn't real from the beginning. The way he was introduced (when Anderson wasn't around/looking) and his ability to soundlessly disappear from the vent, in addition to the way he said "you can't save me" all led me, when I played the demo, to conclude the kid was some kind of hallucination. I put that feeling aside and ignored it when I played the game proper but now it's coming back to me.. I don't think the child was ever real. ESPECIALLY because he's the only child we ever see in the series (barring Rachnai exploding babies).
Or it could just be they weren't ready to include children in a mass genocide scenario beyond the plot piece. Very touchy subject; I'd be squeemish about it, too.

Sure would be nice.
I'd also like to reiterate what others here are saying: be nice to BW. They aren't the enemy. There is no enemy, here. We just want to work with BW to come to a mutually satisfactoy outcome. Let's not attack them. Let's make it clear that, while we have complaints, we aren't hostile towards them.

I´ve done that once before with Star Wars Galaxies and the NGE. We all know how that ended, and honestly, I don't see much difference from what is going on here. I will not give up nor silence myself, but I do not hope for anything at all right now.
Actually, I do hope for one thing. I wish there were a group of programers that could in fact mod the game, so we could not only have our endings, but as many "side quests" as we want in the Mass Effect universe. If by any chance Bioware gave us a modding tool such as the one from DA:O, I would be happy enough...

The first link kinda goes against what we're trying to accomplish here though, by saying people are "demanding" a new ending. As far as I know, this isn't about demanding anything. It's a group of concerned gamers who love the ME franchise, but we're not demanding anything. That's the kind of talk that gets us demonized in the gaming media.

Well... If we take The Arrival DLC into the equation then Shepard could have been indoctrinated when he/she lost consciousness while fighting next to the Reaper Artifact.

Pardon the wall of text, but here is my attempt to collate all the news that talks about what is currently happening. I've been trying to read all the posts/links/news that has been shown on the thread and I think this will help newcomers catch up on what is happening. I want this to be an impartial list of all the links (both supporters and debunkers), so if anyone finds any more news please pm me and I will gladly edit/update the list as it grows. I do not take credit for all the links, they have all been from other fans posting their finds/ making the fb page/images/threads/polls/charity.
Most of all, we do not and should not condone any attacks on EA or Bioware. I am politely voicing my opinion that the ending is lacking compared to what has been promised, full of plotholes and inconsistency. I do not ask for a "Happy Ending", just an ending that makes sense and provides closure.
***SPOILERS*** You have been warned
About the argument "If you read a book/see a movie and don't like how it ends, do you demand that the author rewrites it?"
As mentioned earlier, "Comparing INTERACTIVE GAMES to books/movies which are practically set in stone?"
also, look up Mass Effect Deception.
About DLC adding a different ending:
Bethesda released Broken Steel DLC which picks up after the main character "dies" at the end of the main storyline.

Someone ought to post: "Bioware loved the game it was perfect in every way. Its just so magnificient. Now that I have your attention tell me whats up with the end. Will you fix it please?"
That's exactly what I tweeted at Casey Hudson. No reply, but then again, I'm in Europe and he's in Canada and I only wrote that today.

A few reminders:
1. Stay friendly and civil. We don't want to be percieved the wrong way!
2. Try to avoid conspiracy theories here, it's not what we are about and could harm what we are trying to accomplish!
3. Remember, we want the ending fixed because we love Mass Effect, and we trusted BioWare. Don't judge them before they've made a statement.
4. Keep up the good work!
