It's funny if you look at the #masseffect3 on twitter, more and more people are finnishing the game. It's a steady flow now.

gosh bioware, switzerland is crushed and i am part of it. the best si fi franchise has been broken into pieces. i finished it yesterday and i can't get over it since then. this game gave me so much and now it broke me so hard just cause of the final minutes and so called choices where i could choose between 3 and the result was all the same. i am here to stand here, keeping the front uphold. we need to bring out the message of an ending that ruined everything. i just hope they got something up there sleeves and save my mass effect experience and the one of thousands of other player. keep the hope, it is all we have!

Soooo acurate!

Still laughing... At last after so long.. Good job people...

This... so much THIS.  How could this get past the creative team?!  How were there not enough dissenting voices in various meetings to stop this from becoming the actual ending?

I made it my desktop background.. better than a picture :)

lol whoever wrote that is a genius!

so true

Just throwing this out there...

In the Arrival DLC, Shepard fights waves of 'indoctrinated' soldiers near the Reaper Artifact, and at the end of the fight you get a cutscene of Shepard seeing Amanda Kenson with glowing yellow eyes, similar to when Harbinger controls a Collector.

Wouldn't it be possible that Shepard might have been indoctrinated at that point? Sure it was 6 months before the beginning of ME3, but Shepard does have insane amounts of willpower.

I dunno... It just felt nice to write... Doesnt change the outcome, but still...

I agree very good article.

It's funny when people say don't like it don't buy it, but how can we know if we like it unless we play it? And how can we know it's disappointing if all the "critics" don't say anything about it.

That ending, while more varied, STILL doesn't provide closure and completely ignores the Dark Energy foreshadowing from ME2. I don't think i'd be very happy with that ending, either.

It misses the dark energy time travel aspect too that was in the codex you got from Conrad Verner. I went into the ending expecting Shepard to get blasted x/y/z thousand/million years into the past.

A week ago today I went to pick up the game at Best Buy and I was so excited. My excitement seemed justified throughout the game as I was loving every minute of it, and then the ending happened.

Here is a reenactment of the Mass Effect 3 experience.

This ending making me upset helped me with homework! It made me so sad to think that if this really is the end (no indoctrination theory, none of that. One can hope, but still), it would be crushing. So I funneled that sadness into a script for my Screenwriting class (I'm in my first year of getting a degree in Digital Film-Making). I turned the whole thing into a metaphor where each character gets to represent an entity, be it myself, Bioware, or the series in general :) You can guys can check it out if you want (some stuff is not relevant to Mass Effect because it was a Homework assignment. And some things are simply drama, not actually how I felt.)

I'd love it if there was a New Game+ ending, but I don't see such a thing coming.

I honestly believe we should entrust someone to twitter the mass effect people and apologize for any harsh or immature treatment on our end. This is a frustrating time, but we need to be courteous to the people responsible for bringing us such an amazing game in the first place.

Preferably someone that can be articulate and represent our side without using the word "demand". :D

My thoughts exactly, thank you and Alamandorious for agreeing!

Now, is there anyone who would be interested in this?

heh. I already stated i know myself to be a reactionary and not a good fit fort the task. But at least i can be honest about it.  Yes please, we need a spokes-person

Blagh i'm just upset with the whole thing!
The indoctrination theory people and their cult like ways of explaining to me that I just don't understand the endings..that they will show me the epic story-writing light that is Bioware.

Arguments from others claiming me to be an entitled gamer brat, that wants a new ending because it wasn't "Disney" enough

And Bioware saying nothing!
I just..can't....
(Just finished the game btw)

The "hallucination theory people" are just trying to find a way for Bioware to have not royally screwed up the ending. They actually have some valid points to because there is evidence that something is wrong at the end. I myself ascribe to the ID/dream/hallucination theory simply because I can't beleive that the same writers who brought the genophage cure to a close with Mordin's scene wrote that last 5 minutes to be the real end.

This theory helps me a lot to deal with the ending.

I agree. I spent a lot of time lurking in the "hallucination theory" thread before coming in here. At least it's something to give people hope, which is a lot better than what we've gotten so far out of this mess.

Some are, but like Commander Shepard said in ME1... you can't control what other people do, but you can control how you react to it. Just keep being yourself and staying respectful. The people at BioWare are smart, they won't paint all their fans with one broad brush stroke.

The poor people working at the @masseffect twitteraccount. But on the other hands its their job, and if they really do, what they're saying, then the dev's have a huge amount of feedback by now ;)

For what it's worth, I'm adding my voice to this. I just...I can't actually bring myself to play past those final conversations because I already know the ending(s (seeing as they are pretty much identical)).

So what...the series ends not with a bang but a whimper?

That's...just not right. Not right at all :(

That seems like a very ironic post from Bioware. I wonder if the heads of BW know and support this kind of post. They should really control what their people are posting in their name right now. It will get more people angry. Unnecessarily.
