Yeah, me too. If this is intentional, it's quite possibly brilliant. (Mirroring what's going on the whole game by making it seem like all these people/countries/etc. have to come together to fight a hopeless cause...)
If not, well... Then it's just miserable.
IMO, they just had too less time for an appropriate end of the Mass Effect Series. For me, I always prefer a delay of the release instead of getting a half-finished game. (Well, not Duke Nukem like) But hey, there is a release date, let's stick to that no matter what. Sadly I've seen that often enough

masseffect @quinitii We're very impressed with the community's charity. Child's Play is a wonderful cause.

They really aren't getting it are they.
I am the master of my destiny. I have donated to child's play because, regardless of the outcome here, it's an amazing group that does some really awesome things. I always donate to them with the humble bundles as well.
Even if, 3 months from now, Bioware still hasn't conceded that they rushed the ending and left out a bunch of stuff (which I'm sure is what happened here) I'll still feel like I at least came out ahead putting time and effort into this, if only for the reason that I helped contribute to a discussion that caused people to give of themselves to a charityIt makes me really proud of this group, I'm amazed, when I donated last night there were only a few hundred dollars, last I saw it was over $5000.
Bioware, the media, anyone who says we're acting "Entitled" should realize a single thread has produced 1/4 of the yearly income of some. We're not entitled. In the business world, if I pay for a software product I expect the entire product, and if the ending of said product isn't finished then I get on the phone and I put some fire under the company I'm purchasing from to get me what I paid for and what was advertised. That's not entitlement, it's customer service.
Over $6000 easy last I saw.

With the better endings given by the ME community it does help ease the blow of the official one thrown at us.Darkwingduck wrote...
This thread gives me such hopeI can happily say that i'm playing Mass Effect 3 (new game plus) right now and feeling o.k about it because of all of you. It's not the same I'll never get back that complete optimism but I have the hope that by the time I get through this insanity run something will have come from this forum. Either a reason to stop playing or a new found reason to play.

I will not respond with conspiracy theories....I will not respond with conspiracy theories....I will go shoot things in Mass Effect to make myself feel better about probably conspiracy theories being correct.

Some... I read an article posted by someone earlier that EA actually messed up the ending not Bioware...
I know these guys probably love the Mass Effect universe as much as we.
Let's hope there is a second line in the bioware office!

I want to start off by saying that like the rest of you, I hate the endings for ME3 and would like to see them replaced, added to, or explaned with a brighter one.
However, the more I think about it they might make more sense then they first appear. For example, If the indoctrination theory is correct then for all intents and purposes the destroy ending could be the cannon ending since shepard appears to live afterward making it possible for a Mass effect 4 / expansion / dlc "WITH" shepard where he has to find information to rebuild the mass relays and find his stranded squad / Li or sum such.......yeah I'm kinda reaching here but I cant shake the feeling that bioware is up to something.
I'm problay over looking something that would make this hole argument null, but let me know what you think.
P.S. For the record i'm behind you guys all the way......HOLD.THE.LINE!
P.P.S. Even if this remotely correct there still are plot holes............

Yeah. In the cynical sense, I'm inclined to agree. They ran out of time. I figure there's a good chance I'm deluding myself by thinking it's intentional, but I'd almost rather believe that than think they just gave up in the 11th hour. It keeps me from being completely gut-wrenchingly depressed. Most of the time...
