So we can't get the ending we want after all?

A @masseffect tweet:
"@jakefinn94 Mike Gamble already said on his twitter, if the fans knew what was in store, the reaction would be different."
Wouldn't logic then dictate that letting us know what's in store is a good idea? That being sly and secret about this kind of thing never works well? That, if we can go totally nuts for a moment, letting us know BEFORE this kind of reaction would, in fact, prevent this kind of a reaction?
("which I know is a tautology")

about a DLC described as "Rescue Shepard", there seems to be some correlation between the two; that is to say, that those other endings that were curtailed in the final product but still largely developed might be part of this later DLC release...Or maybe it'll just be Fallout 3 all over again

Releasing something that explains a full game is a bad marketing stunt. Like I said before: the "Shepard is dead" one for ME2 was good. But releasing a full game that needs something else to be explained or completed is too bad.
Will it makes me feel better? Yes. But in relation to the game. Not the company. I don´t think a DLC (or whatever they call it next) should be more than sidequests or things that don´t actually change the core of the story. If you need that, you sold an incomplete game in the first place. And there´s no way around it: it´s not a good practice.
Maybe game companies will start to do this as "the way of the future". But it strikes me just as wrong. They should see all that, and not repeat it.
Release it. Good. But don´t do this again. Do marketing in another way. Not fooling people.

I invested so many hours (and money) into this trilogy, I loved every second of it up untill that ending... I'm just sad.
I can't bring myself to another playthrouh, which I did in the first two games. I don't even know if a "fix the ending" DLC would make things right for me. I feel like it has all been ruined for me.
I'm sorry Bioware, but the ending you came up with is a contrived Deus ex Machina. You tried to be clever and create a fake "super weapon" and you failed. Whoever made the creative decision that led to this is responsible.
Also, I don't want to hear about artistic freedom and whatever, you dont get this amount of unsatisfied fans (yes, we all love you and your games) if you dont mess up real bad. I mean, I was actually trying hard to like the damn ending for several minutes, but I just couldn't bring myself to that. I just feel to damn sad to keep trying.
Thanks for the long hours of imense fun, up untill the reaper/catalyst/ghost kid showed up. It will take a long time for me to ever buy anything else from you guys.
P.S.: My origin account has only bioware games. I never posted on your forums, I was just enjoying your games (a lot) but I had to come here and speak my mind.

some other question: what do i have to do so mordin doesnt die in the 2nd ME? he died in the collectors' basein my game the other slarian from the 2nd cured the genophage - dunno his name atm. think something with a m
In my experience, Mordin fares better in your squad. He has a higher chance to die if he's in a fire team or defending a door. I assume it's because he's fairly fragile. So I usually took him with me, and he always lived (after completing his loyalty and upgrades). I did a playthrough where I did all that, and left him behind, and he still died.
think that's it. but it's also strange that grunt dies, defending the door

Ironically Kirahe didn't get to hold the line, he wasn't even in the last battle despite promising to be.
Just a reminder, that stupid fish is one of the war assets, so.....
Can't get the stupid fish without romancing Kelly, and I play a FemShep who is not really interested in girls, so...
Also, if you've never played ME before, fish is out of the question.
I have yet to see someone who has gotten over 4000EMS without ever touching multiplayer.

Yeah, this twitter business is pretty aggravating. If you are hinting at something you better get round to saying something of substance soon or you're just going to rile fans up more.

I think they had an actual ending / epilogue DLC planned for down the road. If this is the case then they may just try to spin it and say "well we were going to give this to you at a later date" if they don't charge out the nose for it, that is.Kuranai3 wrote...
