Also, Anderson was an officer, not a front line foot soldier.

In the video sequences you can see him with a gun between the assault troops.

True but a General/Admiral can be with the troops but wouldn't be the first one charging in

Remember: Admiral Tali'Zorah.
If she is in your squad, then ingame she is a frontline soldier.

That's going to be the true ending theme.

I was thinking the same, fits perfectly after the "Linkin Park" song.that someone edited in the credits a few 100 pages back
This one has saved me from collapsing after a few day of experiencing the endings :

Because of the cryptic messages, a little hope is rising in me. I hope they're not playing with us. That would double the s***storm.

What if they have put a code on the game that will unlock the true ending when ME3 release all over the world? (03/15) lol

was Drew Karpyshyn still involved in the making of the story ? If not, this is the reason we got such pain in our hearts. My opinion.

No, he left during ME2, moved to other Bioware stuff andd then left Bioware completely to work on personal projects. I've also checked his twitter today and he said he isn't sure wether or not his involvement in part 3 would have changed much.

They lock the thread with the final post offering us 3 choices for ending DLC.

Do you want your DLC to be green, blue or red? *trollface*

..... dont make me virtually slap you in the back of the head... that isn't something to joke troll about :crying::P

I'm trolling you, because if I wouldn't do it, somebody else would create a TobiTobsen account and troll you!

That's the truth! Just ask the Reaper Kid/Ghost/God

some other question: what do i have to do so mordin doesnt die in the 2nd ME? he died in the collectors' base :( in my game the other slarian from the 2nd cured the genophage - dunno his name atm. think something with a m

In my experience, Mordin fares better in your squad. He has a higher chance to die if he's in a fire team or defending a door. I assume it's because he's fairly fragile. So I usually took him with me, and he always lived (after completing his loyalty and upgrades). I did a playthrough where I did all that, and left him behind, and he still died.

think that's it. but it's also strange that grunt dies, defending the door :( and i did his loyalty mission too -.-

Jacob does not die guarding a door.  Jacob's loyalty-unlock power is Barrier.  When a toon dies defending the door, i final shot gets them in the midsection.  When I had Jacob there, he takes the same shot... but gets up again after and says "I'm ok."  Barrier.

I followed a similar logic with other toons - there are hints like "they'll be taking a lot of fire" - and I assume there are multiple right choices (if you don't have Kasumi or Zaeed, for example, others must also work).  I think I sent Grunt to escort the Doc back to the ship, thinking he'd be best for solo escort.  Kasumi went in the tube.  Samara held the barrier through the Seeker swarm.  I gave a short but positive speech.  Not sure how many of these things are a factor, but they all seemed to add up.

Well. This would not be totally unprecedented by Bioware. I mean all the smoke and mirrors would-but not the "Ah the ending was not an ending!"

Shadows of Amn left the Bhaal child saga pretty unconcluded. It was not until the expansion-Throne of Bhaal was it? That the saga came to completion.

So beyond putting a nonsensical ending in a shipped product for whatever reason (at some point, you have to judge the product that shipped, not the shipped + $30 of DLC) it would not be to far of a stretch to say that Shep's story isn't quite over yet.

Edit " (Just don't try and force Shep into an ME4-baaaaad)

Is it wrong that at this point I'd be totally o.k with Bioware trolling as long as I get a proper ending?

Just another side comment. Is it true that Shep can only survive if you play multiplayer? If it is, I also think it´s a mistake. I shouldn´t be forced to play online to complete this game. It didn´t have multiplayer before ME3, and it should only add some special items or other rewards. Not something that important. Come on, if you played this far, of course you want the possibility of saving Shep. So, in a sense, it is mandatory to play in multiplayer. I know I may be alone in this, but I don´t like it.

I wouldnt think so. But if it were true, I would feel bad for some of the supporters here who have taken this event much more deeply than I have been able to cope with.

I'd be more than okay with it, I'd throw my money at them for that to happen.
