Wow. I didn't clear nearly as much side content as I think I did, apparently... i've really been enjoying Multiplayer and had 100% readiness, but my (actual and effective) score was just under 6000. And people got well over 7000? Eheh... doh. I wish I was motivated to go back and try again, but after the last 30 minutes of the game, what for?

Exactly my problem. I have other game-saves and thought, hey, maybe I could import those and get a higher score without needing to touch MP.

The problem at this point is, why should I?

Origin just announced a one week store wide fifty percent sale. included in this sale are new titles like Battlefield 3 as well as others.. In light of the occurring problems with Mass Effect three, could this possibly be viewed as a desperate measure, or if combined with @masseffect's troll video, be a statement that Origin/EA/Bioware are at a much greater moment of desperation than what is perceived in this thread??

Jason Andreas‏@redzppln:
@masseffect I loved 98% of ME3..but something has to be up w/ ending..too much talent at BW for that business. Keep my saves?

Mass Effect‏@masseffect:
@redzppln We're keeping our saves, that's for sure.

I'm just genuinely afraid that if an ending DLC is made, that it will have to be paid for. As in, "Pay us so your game won't suck!" kind of thing.
If there is an ending DLC and it's free, that will be the best kind of olive branch that could be extended to the fans, and it would restore all my faith and respect in BioWare.
ALL OF IT.

That's all BS.  Right now Bioware is furiously focused on doing everything they can to keep people from trading back in their ME3 games because every used game out there has potential to cannabilize a new game sale.  Therefore bioware will say anything they can, in any way they can, to try to give you hope enough to hang onto your game.  Then, a year from now when all the DLC was more multiplayer crap and the Omega thing (which doesn't change the ending), and someone throws that quote back at them, all they're going to say is "we thought that multiplayer and Omega DLC was worth holding onto your ME3 game for, sorry if you disagree."

I ask us fans this, when reading cryptic crap like this - or even official statements (as we've seen) - ask yourself, has Bioware ever intentionally tried to mislead us in the past?  If the answer to that is yes, then factor that in to whatever you hear from them today.  It's nothing more than a desparate attempt to keep people from trading their games in, which will sink their sales faster than a boat without a hull.

Jaded... but I agree... just looks too forced.

The only thing I could imagine at this point would be an expansion/post game DLC that wraps up/explains the ending... it would be rather easy to do that, really... but that would come further down this year.

They could also be talking about a follow up or prequel project... but I doubt that... and even when, this will take even longer to be announed.

Also, if you've never played ME before, fish is out of the question.

I have yet to see someone who has gotten over 4000EMS without ever touching  multiplayer.

Yeah I did too. I think I got into the 5000 or 6000s. But with multiplayer I got 7000+ and 100% galactic readiness which some players forget about...it does matter!

Wait, what? Are you saying you got over 5000EMS (not TMS, but EMS) without ever touching multiplayer?!

Yes. I was somewhere between 5000-6000 EMS and the multiplayer shot me up to 7000+. That was my score around Horizon so the rest of the missions and discussions with squad mates got me to 7202.

And my galactic readiness was probably around 60-70% but shot up to 100% with MP.

EDIT: My TOTAL MS was 7202, that might clarify things.

See, I got 7400TMS without ever touching multiplayer. But since galatic readiness was always 50%, it brought down to 3700EMS and it would not go past that. I scanned every single planet, did all side missions, talked to everyone, united every single race (best outcomes for missions) and still couldn't achieve 4000ems.

I refuse to touch mp because I play on Xbox and that means I would have to pay extra (and use up all the bandwith in my dorm, which is not happening or I will not have internet for the month)

If you seriously got over 4000EMS without ever  touching multiplayer, you should open a thread and explain what you did. But you need to have over 4000EMS with 50% galatic readiness.

Na he is either not telling the truth or he sucks at math.
If he had 7000+ ems with 100%galactic readiness it means he would have had around 3500 ems without MP

"She" by the way. Though it was my mistake because I was thinking EMS, not TMS.

Just checked my last save:
TMS: 7107
EMS: 6893 (Still damn close)
Galactic readiness: 97% (since I haven't played since last night but it was 100/99% making the rest higher)

YES! Finally finished off that 24 hour account cooldown thing! =]

Hey, just wanted to say I'm with all you guys 100%. I loved the game, until the ending. Those last five minutes made me feel like I just watched someone shoot my dog in the head, right infront of me. I'm pretty sure I cried some unmanly tears the night I beat the game. Let's change this for the ME universe, for the ME characters. They deserve a better story, a better ending.

This entire forum basically uniting for a rescue of the franchise is kinda beautiful to me, and it is the only thing that's not making me want to go get drunk and snap my CE in half. (I'm aware it's not the entire forum, just a ridiculous majority of it, which is so ungodly rare I can't really believe it)

HOLD THE LINE!

(Note: I never said happier ending or fairy tale ending--just said better one)

It is nothing more than a "behind the scenes"... Something i couldn't care less about at the moment (ok maybe a MP DLC but hey we already got that topic ^^).

I agree. At the same time, I'm ashamed to admit I might even pay for it just to get the sour taste out of my mouth at what we were given.
