Hmmmm... I was aware that BSN is full of angry fans. But it seems that is also fullo of childish angry people. Maybe someone can try to answer the Lykaon63 question instead of throwing **** about the endings every topic on the board. By the way its only a suggestion :-P

I thought the first poster answered it rather nicely.
Everyone else was just warning the OP that - no matter the LI - it likely won't amount to much in the end, anyway.
Given how gaming forums go, I thought that was rather nice of them to alleve him of the worry as opposed to insulting him or speaking ill of his mother.

Since this thread seems to have completely missed my point, I quote the above.

Basically -- if I start a new Shepherd in ME3, how much influence to get over what decisions I may have made in the previous games?

Mass Effect 2 had a few at the beginning, and then they added that comic book thingy which really let you decide most of the important things from ME1, even the LI.

I don't know how accurate this is but from my understanding you won't be able to choose who you romanced in previous games.

It irks me a bit to know that my Shepard will have flashbacks of Kaidan, when that chapter in her life was closed the day she eased tension with Garrus.

Yes, it's very nice to not say anything about his family. And by the way he will die someday in the end, so why should care about him?

And, as far as I know, the 'romantic' scenes trigger before the last mission (as always) with the LI you have chosen. The flashback isn't necessarily about a romantic interest, it can be about an important mate like Joker or Liara.

And by the way the main reason why we choose LI is to see a sideboob before we die, isn't it?  (except Tali lovers that want to see a sidenose).

Most people get so defensive over the stupidest of things on the internet, so props to you - seriously.

On-topic, I hope you're right. I read something about an old-looking picture of your LI (who most people have stated it's Liara, no matter what, as a bug)... so many things getting mixed up, I'm always wondering if this is just a huge troll scam (aside from what video evidence has shown).

Seriously, not everything is puppies and rainbows.  Sheppard and his crew is fighting against the strongest force in the Universe, and they struggled in that fight against a Reaper solo in the past and here they have hundreds and thousands of them showing up at once now.  You think they really should get out of this without some form of problem in the end?

As for the LI, I am not bothered about it.  Yes, I made Miranda my LI and I was hoping for a bit more from that, but I am not bothered by it at all.  In fact, I almost wish there was a way to bring more out of Kelly as a LI in ME3, but that is not going to happen either.

Ashley, Kaidan, and Liara are the only romances that will show up in your Shepard's final flashback. There aren't files for anyone else. Take that as you will.

Garrus and Tali get more content than the other ME2 LIs, Miranda gets a decent amount of screentime, Jack at least has a continuation, and Jacob and Thane romancers are screwed.

But, as has been said, you either die or never see your LI again, so don't worry too much about it.

So, what happens with Thane?

The Thane thread has no spoilers in it, and I would actually very much like to know what happens with him. His romance. His fate. Etc.

Because this, paired with the endings thing might be what decides how much time I really give this game. I'm not going to cancel, but I may wait on opening the thing until the reviews roll in, and if they're bad, resell/return to Gamestop.
