You can't import a face created in Mass Effect 1 into 3! Bioware has responded! (See OP)

This is exactly like the Mass Effect 2 un-removable helmets problem. Did they fix that? No....

I suppose I shouldn't mention that leading up to ME2 we were told we could tweak our existing Shepard faces from ME1 to make subtle changes if we wanted, and that ME1 imports would also produce a face code. Another two CC related set of promises that were lies and never patched or fixed later.

Ah, and suddenly this "Wouldn't it be cool to start ME3 with a fresh character instead of importing?!" post by Chris starts to make sense...
Indeed.....You know, it's not so much the import bug that is pissing me off; it's how BW is handling it. Burying their heads in the sand pretending it isn't here. This thread has been here over a week and they've said nothing. Now the issue is confirmed and they've said nothing. All they needed to do was say, "hey guys we're aware of the issue and we're working on a fix asap; please bare with us." I doubt there would have been as much fallout had they said something, ANYTHING...
Oh well, one of my 8 saves uses the default face so i guess I'll just use that one untill this is fixed.

ME3, why don't you update your CC instead.<_<
Please, I already have my code ready to rock. It's just there was a part deep inside me that wanted to believe that the rumors weren't true, or it was all a big misunderstanding, or something.

This won't affect the stuff I did in both ME1 and ME2 right? Like Wrex is alive and I destroyed the Collector Base. All that will still carry over right???
Yeah, just not your face.

1. Load up ME1 and remake your sheps face there. Write down / screen shot (screen shot worked on me1) the position of sliders that make up the face. Luckily I did this years ago and kept the info for newer play throughs. -its easier than trying to remake in 2 imho, or 3 as the sliders dont match 1 or 2(demo for ME3 only atym)
2. Load up Me2 start new character enjoy the unskipable intro, still fun to watch and playthrough
3 Load me3 and import save and customize face and use the new code. It wont be perfect as the skin shader has changed a lot but at least it gives a better match than we were getting.
Sorry if this method has been mentioned and I know we shouldn't have to do it but this was the only way I could get close to my original Shep in the demo. Hope it helps some. Its takes about half an hour to an hour if you can remember the settings / have screen shots
