I still can't understand why they messed up the code for importing faces from ME2 to ME3, I mean there was no problem with importing from ME1 to ME2, why didn't they just use the same method for their code?  In fact i know why it's messed up, they took out certain custom features from ME1 which is not in the character creation in ME3 which is a bummer.

I suppose I shouldn't mention that leading up to ME2 we were told we could tweak our existing Shepard faces from ME1 to make subtle changes if we wanted, and that ME1 imports would also produce a face code. Another two CC related set of promises that were lies and never patched or fixed later.

Tried to import ME1>ME2 face into ME3. It just shows default CC face (not THE default) if I choose "import face"option.

Hell, I couldn't even re-create my Shep in ME1/ME2 because I had tweaked her jawline just right. There's no freakin' way I can replicate her if they removed some of my Shep's face options.

don't have a me2 cc photo. did this in the demo using the 8 step process to uncover my hidden me1 code on the 360.  turned out way closer than my attempts to eyeball it yesterday.   Hair color, eye color, and nose all were problem zones however. nose most of all.

Ah, and suddenly this "Wouldn't it be cool to start ME3 with a fresh character instead of importing?!" post by Chris starts to make sense...

Indeed.....You know, it's not so much the import bug that is pissing me off; it's how BW is handling it.  Burying their heads in the sand pretending it isn't here.  This thread has been here over a week and they've said nothing.  Now the issue is confirmed and they've said nothing.  All they needed to do was say, "hey guys we're aware of the issue and we're working on a fix asap; please bare with us."  I doubt there would have been as much fallout had they said something, ANYTHING...

Oh well, one of my 8 saves uses the default face so i guess I'll just use that one untill this is fixed.

I knew it was gonna happen, it's just...  *sigh*

ME3, why don't you update your CC instead.<_<

Please, I already have my code ready to rock. It's just there was a part deep inside me that wanted to believe that the rumors weren't true, or it was all a big misunderstanding, or something.

I can't even begin to tell you all how terribly disappointed I am. My Shep - who's been there from the very beginning - needs to finish the fight; my Shep, not some stranger Shep. :(

I actually was so close to recreating my Shep on the ME3 character, but unfortunatly the hair style was not on the list, well it was but the top part is missing.

This won't affect the stuff I did in both ME1 and ME2 right? Like Wrex is alive and I destroyed the Collector Base. All that will still carry over right???

Ughhh I got pretty close with recreating mine, but the hair styles don't work and I cannot find the same nose. It's pissing me off. It's distracting. I've restarted the game like 3 times because I keep thinking that I need to go back and find the right nose... lol. What a stupid, stupid bug. Totally breaks immersion.

Not a solution I know but the only way I could get a decent match for my me1 shep in the me3 demo.

1. Load up ME1 and remake your sheps face there. Write down / screen shot (screen shot worked on me1) the position of sliders that make up the face. Luckily I did this years ago and kept the info for newer play throughs. -its easier than trying to remake in 2 imho, or 3 as the sliders dont match 1 or 2(demo for ME3 only atym)
2. Load up Me2 start new character enjoy the unskipable intro, still fun to watch and playthrough :) Create new custom face. Use the notes/ screens from ME1 Most of the sliders match up to ME1 but be careful a few are in a different order. Once done write down your new face code.
3 Load me3 and import save and customize face and use the new code. It wont be perfect as the skin shader has changed a lot but at least it gives a better match than we were getting.

Sorry if this method has been mentioned and I know we shouldn't have to do it but this was the only way I could get close to my original Shep in the demo. Hope it helps some. Its takes about half an hour to an hour if you can remember the settings / have screen shots
