You can't import a face created in Mass Effect 1 into 3! Bioware has responded! (See OP)

I'm the "One Shepard" kind of guy.
Which is why I feel so gutted.
Variety is the spice of life....
Don't I know it.
But to counter your point-
Games aren't my life. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH

How did nobody check this before the game went gold?
I don't mind so much because I made a new Shepard that resembled the new FemShep model solely for the purpose of switch to that new FemShep model without feeling off. But still, I can see why this is a MAJOR annoyance to a whole mess of day one purchasers.

people can tell you "you look a lot like this actor/athlete/person-I-know," but you know you still look way different from them.
Example befitting the ME3 character creator and transfer issues:
Me- [trimmed]
Oded Fehr- [trimmed]
I get that comparison ALL THE TIME.
Now then, how happy would y'all be of that in ME3?
Exactly. Yes, I can say that you look similar to him, but if you walked up to me and said, "Hi, I'm the actor Oded Fehr," I'd say "bulls***." Your approximated ME3 Shepard sounds the same and looks a lot like your original Shepard, yet there's no way he's the same guy.

And that's why I'm not about to attempt to recreate my Shepard and horribly fail(I already tried).

You have to jump through a few hoops...especially if you have the 360 version over the PC but I recreated my face in 5 minutes over the failed 45 min attempt I tried to do manually.
Give it a shot.

I may try it eventually. For now, I just want to play the game, so I just approximated one of my Shepard's faces. Hopefully there will be a patch by the time I decide to replay the game.

I hear my stepbrother playing his copy upstairs(at least when I exit my room).

I mean, you might as well just go play the game with a new Shep. You won't have all the cool stuff that occurs from having played the other games, but you can do that later. I played ME2 with my Shepard that made the worst decisions first, then I felt really cool when I went back the second time with one of my favorite Shepards and saw all the good stuff that came of my decisions, by comparison. That's what I'm doing with ME3 also.

"just the face" Seems pretty important, if you ask me.
I'd sacrifice the face for the choices if I had to. The face is the less important of the two. I'm not saying it doesn't suck, I'm saying that if the choices at least import, it's managable till they patch it.
No, but I said it's managable until they patch it so long as the choices transfer correctly. Learn reading comprehension. Since this is an M game, and you have to be at least 17 to play it, I'd expect you should have learned a grammar school skill by now.
Don't insult the person. Everyone experiencing this issue should be irate over it. The company hypes being able to finish the trilogy with "your" Shepard and then screws up face importing? That shouldn't be acceptable regardless. We shouldn't be paying 60-80$ for games, especially one this big, when they have glitches in them that destroy the soul of the game. When I buy games, especially when I buy them from a company like Bioware, I expect them to working 100%. Playing with the Shepard that isn't the original is not cool and it's not cool for them to tell us to just deal with it when it shouldn't have had this error on day one or ever for that matter. It's cool that someone is answering questions and that Bioware is investigating this issue now instead of sticking with their initial statement, I appreciate that greatly. I'm very upset over this and I look forward to a solution being made very soon. Otherwise i've just blown 75 bucks for nothing. Thanks again to the people at Bioware who are investigating this issue.

Why should we be doing this if import feature was one of the key points of Mass Effect game series?

I think some people have been successful in remaking it, but it depends on what sets your character used originally Most of my Shepards, I could get a general approximation, but it still wasn't convincing. And believe me, I tried a long time!

Relax. 12 in ME1, 15 in ME2, all with the same character I'd LIKE to carryover the appearance of but can't right now.
No way I could pull off almost 30 playthroughs of a single game.

Now they are locking threads and directing people here.
I'd like to know that this is at least being looked at, so come the 9th I'll know whether I have to go with a recreation or I'll be able to bring my Shepard across.
They are. I called EA about 30 minutes ago and the guy said they are working to see if they can patch it right now, though he also said it "wasn't guaranteed."
