You can't import a face created in Mass Effect 1 into 3! Bioware has responded! (See OP)

Does the game allow you to fine-tune your Shepard's face after character creation/import?
Yes, if you want to change something, you don't have to start from scratch.

I've also got too much pride to give up and start playing without the character I've played 27 playthroughs with over 5 years.
holy #$@% 27 playthroughs only have 8 or 9 lol that does not count how many damn times i started over
Relax. 12 in ME1, 15 in ME2, all with the same character I'd LIKE to carryover the appearance of but can't right now.
No way I could pull off almost 30 playthroughs of a single game.
i lol'd

Now they are locking threads and directing people here.
I'd like to know that this is at least being looked at, so come the 9th I'll know whether I have to go with a recreation or I'll be able to bring my Shepard across.
They are. I called EA about 30 minutes ago and the guy said they are working to see if they can patch it right now, though he also said it "wasn't guaranteed."
Link us to an audio clip of your phone call or it didn't happen.

Oh yeah, that was a while ago. I totally fell for it too, got all defensive, lol

ME3 recreated using the recommended tool in the Chris Priestly thread.

Hmm...not bad. I could accept this as my Shepard if i have to. I still haven't forgiven Bioware but at least now i can actually play it when i get the game on March 9th. (also looks closer in-game)

I think this one turned out pretty good, actually. I couldn't get nearly that close with any of my attempts. Not that I didn't try: I just didn't have the resources.

Yeah, if I spent that many hundreds of hours getting to know my Shep, I'd be pissed too. That's like your girlfriend/wife completely altering her face with plastic surgery one day and expecting you to hardly notice, lol.

well after i generated a face code i had to change the complexion, nose shape, eye colour, hair shape and colour, beard shape and colour. Actually when i first saw what it looked like i took some screencaps of my import Shepard and the code Shepard and wrote Epic Fail underneath on photoshop but then after staring at my import and the coded face next to each other i noticed that the structure was the same and it just needed some tweaking. I lolled at myself for being an idiot.1490 wrote...

Thanks, I'll give it a try if Bioware doesn't come out with a fix soon.

Well look at it this way, worse possible case scenario, it doesn't get fixed. You can take a digital photo from your ME2 Shepard. Then you can use the manual fix to approximate his look, and compare to the photo you took to flesh out the fine details. With luck, you won't be missing a lot of irreplaceable stuff. I mean it's not perfect and that may not be any consolation, but at least you aren't 100% guaranteed to be royally f***ed.

Does the tool import my renegade scars? otherwise I will wait until they fix it.
Now that I don't know. Both of my Shepards that had the scars didn't import at all, so I haven't seen any evidence of it yet. I've seen some sort of complaint about that going around though.

Not acceptable to me.
I shouldn't have to do that. This is Bioware's fault, its on them to fix it. I'll hound them till it is, if it isn't then I'll have to reevaluate what I'll do.
As far as being royally f'ed, that's ironic.
