Well they did have that info graphic that said like...20% of people went with default. So I guess the 80ish percent of us with custom Shepards could be defined as "some".
Really don't want to sound mean.
But the word "some" DID sound insulting, as if only a few people thought of using customized faces for Shepard.
You can't import a face created in Mass Effect 1 into 3! Bioware has responded! (See OP)

I was referring to Bioware's statement.

Its like changing actors in the middle of a series. It's not the same. I have now resorted to taking a picture and seeing if I can recreate my Shep from the picture. A lot of hassle that should not be happening! Really puts a smudge on the experience as far as I'm concerned. And Biowares casual attitude about it bugs me. It feels like they're saying "Yeah, they'll complain and then everyone will play it anyway."
If I could get away with an expletive on here I have a few...

It's funny because I remember some tweets from devs while they were still testing and debugging that were posted in the "Casey Hudson says" forum topic. They were telling each other and no doubt us how they were bug free and how well the game was running. I guess none of them gave a thought to trying to import a Shepard they started in ME1 from ME2 into the ****ing game they were testing.
And anyone who is saying this isn't a big deal has got to be trolling.
I only have 2 guesses why anyone would ever say such a thing:
A) They never really liked their shepard. I have to admit I was in this catagory for awhile and contemplated changing the face when ME2 came out. However, once you get that perfect face or look, you grow to love it. It is impossible to ever let it go at that point. Period. They only played Mass Effect 2. It is fairly easy to feel somewhat detatched from your shepard if you have only been playing for about a year. Its also fairy easy to be complacent and say you don't care about something like this as a non-issue, but for the rest, they have been playing since 2008-2007. They grew up with their shepard in 4 or 5 years and shepard grew with them. It's likely they had the same shep all the way through college or high school. It feels entirely impossible and distracting to play another shepard after investing that much time.
Either way, I don't think it's fair for anyone to comment on it if they truly believe it's not an issue or just a feature. It's more than just a feature at this point.
Thats my point though about the few who have posted in this thread claiming it isn't a big deal. If they only played ME2 this bug doesn't affect them as I understand it, and if they never liked their Shepards face through ME1 they could create an all new face for that Shepard at the start of ME2, again this bug won't affect them.
So again if you have posted in this thread that this is no big deal, your a troll.

Though it wasn't perfect looking and I had to tweak it to fit better but I'm really happy with what I got.
Frankly, I'm happy the charaction system allows us to tweak at all compared to ME2's complete overhaul option.
My sister had less luck but the work around got her shep back in less time than it took to eyeball it.
