So a person who got one of the space editions said, that he had problems importing Shepard from his ME1&2 save into ME3. He said that the game came up with some kind of error, and he was forced the create the looks of his Shepard from scratch. He said this happened more than once.

Please Bioware, tell me this is just that guy having some bad luck. Seems like a pretty serious glitch to me :(

If you're talking about the guys who won the Vegas launch, that was a PS3 they had an issue with, so it has nothing to do with ME1 face codes.

Personally I'm hoping it's just a PS3 glitch. I don't feel like recreating all of my sheps from ME1

"just the face" Seems pretty important, if you ask me.

I'd sacrifice the face for the choices if I had to.  The face is the less important of the two.  I'm not saying it doesn't suck, I'm saying that if the choices at least import, it's managable till they patch it.

So you're perfectly okay with glitches like this one?

No, but I said it's managable until they patch it so long as the choices transfer correctly.  Learn reading comprehension.  Since this is an M game, and you have to be at least 17 to play it, I'd expect you should have learned a grammar school skill by now.

Lay off the attitude.

You give me attitude, I give it back.  You're putting words in people's mouths cause they're not as pissed as you are.

ME1 didn't have face codes. The headmorphs themselves were imported to ME2, and as a result weren't modifiable with ME2 character customisation variables. They'll carry over in the same way to ME3, so you either make a new face or use your ME1 face, as you did in ME2 - or your ME2 face.

That's what I was hoping for, but it seems that a lot of people are experiencing problems with this.

With all due respect, I don't see how "a lot" of people can be having this problem as thier are only 6, maybe 8 copies that were released early, yes?    That being said, I'm concerned about this as well

However, I would think that the import feature would have been extensively tested by quality assurance, right?  I mean, that is a MAJOR feature, importing your facing, and one would think they would have made sure it was working properly.

Especially since, as far as I'm aware, the only contact this board has with any of the space edition winners is the Vegas Team that won a PS3 copy, which doesn't even have ME1.

I would tend to think that the import feature would be a no brainer as far as making sure it works properly.

Now.......... the fact that ME 3 has some variance in charecter creation options from ME1, and that's causing an error, is somewhat believable.  And hopefully just a bit of knee jerk paranoia on the week before release.

You're right. I'm paranoid as **** at the moment, when it comes to this game, and I really don't like the sound of this glitch.

Appearance? No big deal, will most likely want to see what I could do with the new editor anyway.

I guess only a few people on here actually cares about consistency. I guess whining about the endings and DLC is way more important.

Everything so far sounds great to me. The import thing is my only worry.

Asked the guy with the space copy again.

" My ME1 face never imports. My wife imported her ME2 face no problem on PS3."
That is NOT good news!

I know it is a pain, but if you go onto your ME2 game and look for the facecode of your Shepard on there, just jot it down or save it to a document, then if this problem occurs, just re-enter the facecode. :)

You cant do that if you have an import from ME1, for some reason the facecode doesnt display

That really shouldn't be necessary.

It doesn't?! My bad, I have never checked my ME1 imports on ME2 to be honest but I thought they did show.. In this case, this sucks big time.
