"EA has warned Xbox 360 gamers that their Mass Effect 3 saved games won't import if they're stored in the 360's data cloud. They'll have to be located on or transferred from the console on which they were created."

It sure is. Especially for a game that's supposed to be 'our' story. How is it our story, when we can't even import the face that we've been using for the last two games?!

Go into ME2, or the demo. Recreate your face in the custom so you have a code. It literally took me ten minutes for it to be perfect.

We already know that.... 

People are annoyed, because it shouldn't be necessary to do in the first place. The import feature should do that for us, just like it did in ME2!

Might as well use the standard face from now on. I guess this also explains why there were put so much effort into the new Femshep model, and having people choose what she should look like.

The situation is beyond horrible if every original ME1 Shepard wouldn't import. If that really is the case I wonder what testers have been doing and if their programmers even test their code...

We already know that....

Might as well have a code for it if it doesn't work for you, do it now before the game comes out so you don't have to waste the time when you get it.

It would take me far more than 10 minutes, I know that. I've worked hard on especially my canonShep. Not to mention, even so, it would feel fake. It's an almost-identical clone with the same history, but it's not her.

Yeah this is the main reason I am dubious. If it's ALL ME1 Shepards, how could the developers not have noticed?

yeah, and it takes them like 1 hour to test xx Shepards to confirm or deny stuff clearly. Not going vague like "some Shepards might not work". Some? Might? Blablba?

If anyone would like any help recreating their shepard in ME3, for a back up just in case, I'm more than happy to lend a hand.

I've recreated a few of my friends sheps, for this exact reason, and they were pretty happy with the results. One could say I'm experienced in character creators (doing celebrity lookalikes and such for other games, etc.)

So if you want an outside person to help with a fresh pair of eyes and your stuck, feel free to contact me. I just require that you PM me screen caps of your shepard at every angle. A face code would be appreciated to set up a generalized "template" but not required.

That would be a workable solution if, as far as we know, ME3 actually read the face codes the same way. I recreated my Shep pixel perfect in the ME2 CC, but when I put that code in the demo, my Shep looked like he was storing walnuts in his cheecks. Thats not to say it won't work in the final game, but as of now having a face code from 2 looks like it wont work.

So a face code does not work, import does not work, cloud does not work, dialogue choices all but removed...

Is this just a cloak and dagger way to rid the game of "our" personal sheps?

@NN77 sure, I can see what I can do. ME2 screens are what I normally use, since other than being the most recent game, the facial definition is a little more pronounced.

But I'll see what I can do for sure. I'm going to be at work most of today, so you won't hear from me til this evening, but I'll be free after that.

Some sort of response from the devs on this issue would be most welcome. It would make no sense for ME1 Sheps to not be importable into ME3,especially since this is supposed to be the end of the story arc. However, my main ME1 Shep imported into ME2 fine, despite having a silly moustache that wasn't available in the ME2 character creator...

I wonder when it's safe to change the thread title to "You can't import a face created in Mass Effect 1 into 3! (More information in the OP.)", instead of "You can't import a face created in Mass Effect 1 into 3? Probably not.. (More information in the OP.)" I mean, The devs and mods won't answer the question, some people with the game has confirmed it to be true, the EA help site confirms the problem etc. Is there actually anything that speaks AGAINST the existence of this problem at this point?!
