That is NOT good news!

Ok. As someone pointed out ME1 was never, NEVER on the PS3 only on 360. How did he get a ME1 face import? Unless he has a PC version and tried to import the info onto his PS3. Which would explain the glitch.

If I'm reading this right (please tell me if I'm not), the problem is just in importing a code? So... why can't you just load up ME2, write down your face code, and paste it into ME3?

If it's something like the face code for a blonde ends up being a brunette, I can see that being a problem, but why not use the easy workaround?

Can you link to the thread ? i don't want to visit that section with all that spoilers :D And because I think that those dudes don't spoil anything I can visit their thread. Thanks
But I thought that they had the PS3 version and the PS3 doesn't have ME1 :/ But if this problem will occur on the XBOX / PC we need a patch ASAP :D

I hope this isn't going to be a problem. Do we know if the demo's CC is the same as the retail version's? Because I can't put my Shepard's facecode (that was made in ME1) from ME2 into the demo - the hair changes into one I don't use.

It shouldn't be overly difficult to re-create a VERY similar Shepard.

He played the 360 version. He got two copies for some reason. One for 360, and one for PS3.

If you're trying to avoid spoilers, you really don't wanna see that thread ^_^

No. But the player shouldn't have to rebuild Shepard's face. It should import, just like it did in ME2. Everything else makes no sense!

Because if you import from ME1 you don't get a facecode, game imports the model and that's it. Pain in ass if you ask me, because I couldn't do any changes to my Shepard, who ended up looking waaay too Asian.

Uh, that sounds pretty suspect. They didn't give prize winners multiple copies.

For some characters, the face code don't show up in squad screen in ME2. Guess I'll be forced to recreate them too. But hey, it's not that much of a big deal. I can easily create some screenshots of the given characters then recreate them. Wouldn't call it a tragedy.

I doubt the guy is lying. Maybe his wife was with him, when they tracked down the space package-thingy.

And bioware had no problem sending two copies to the same household? When asked to show that he had a copy, in that same spoiler thread, he linked a picture of a PS3 copy. If he was playing the 360, why didn't he show that version?

My Shepards face changed when I put the code in on the PC version. Her hair doesn't seem to be in the game any more so it changed it too a ponytail. My brother's shep though came out really well, better than in ME2. She's gorgeous.

Hmm...

I used a facecode from ME2 and entered in the values manually for ME1, but had to correct them once I imported the save into ME2 (specfically, I'd messed up the blush slider in ME1 which looked fine at the time, but was clearly way too high in ME2).

Does that count as an ME1 or ME2 code for the purposes of save file transfer into ME3?

Failing that, has anyone had a crack at working which ME3 face code values match the ones in ME2 (since they're clearly not exactly the same, judging by the demo at least)?

... you may be on to something. We need to investigate this further. WE NEED, to get to the bottom of this!

You were using a face code. That is not what I'm talking about. What I'm talking about, is taking the your Shep from ME1, import him into 2 and then into 3. When you do that, you get no face code, and for some reason, the guy with the game claims that it fails when he tries to do this.

Why is it every new release bioware ruins more things than they fix ?

Honestly if imports from me1-me3 is glitched then EVERY SINGLE ONE of my sheps, 12+ are completeley broken, thanks for the info op.

Why didnt you warn us bioware to skip ME1 ?

That's how I feel. I went unemployed for sometime and ME1 and ME2 was the only game I had in my house. So, after tons of replaying I have 16 different sheps and if they're all broken...:crying:

Please note, this may not be 100% accurate. It may just be they guy's game there's something wrong with. but it is troubling.

Yeah but it sounds like he's trying to import a ME1 face. As in didn't play ME2, just ME. Can you even do that? It's not like we can test the theory either. Surely BioWare woudn't have released the game with a massive bug that left our Shepards headless.
