They have seen it.. There's no way Chris and Woo wouldn't take a look at a thread that has rached over 10.000 views in four days. They're not saying anything because they KNOW that people will be pissed.squee365 wrote...

Don't you tell me that it was too hard to implement this. Seriously. You can have characters that live or die depending on your choices in prior games, characters that reacts to something you did two games ago, but you can't let us import a damn face? Are you serious. This HAS to be a joke. There's no way a **** up of this proportion would make it into the final product. No. Damn. Way!
This is why we need official word, are the devs seeing this thread and just ignoring it? Or have they not seen it at all? Its kind of hard to miss at this point...30 pages.
You can't import a face created in Mass Effect 1 into 3! Bioware has responded! (See OP)

With all the disappointing things that have come out over the past few weeks from the Gilligan's Island Deliverance endings, to the auto dialogue, to the crappy demo introduction of the story, the bad animations, the stick people running in the opening sequence, to the graphics downgrade from the second game. I think I'm going to actually do the previously unthinkable and not buy on release day and borrow after a month or so from a friend.
I guess everyone can make up their own mind but to me this just isn't acceptable and I won't pay a new release price for this experience.

Also, what if you import an ME1 Shep in ME2, but tweaked their face just a little, would that one work?

So they're waiting until the game's released and a bunch of non-regular fans flood the forums? You'd think they'd want people to complain beforehand and reach some sort of peace with it before non-regulars see the rage. Then again, are they ignoring the thread because they seriously believe that people won't buy the game if it's confirmed? The PLC wrote...

Maybe if everyone here flooded BioWare's twitter accounts with requests to respond...

The last thing Bioware wants in the day leading up to the release, is to have something like this pop up on every major gaming site.Dry County wrote...

I'm surprised there hasn't been a bigger uproar. I think most people don't know yet and probably wouldn't have thought to make sure because -- duh! -- we should be able to use our ME1->ME2 faces.

The implication is that some ME1 faces won't look right in ME3 and will have to be reconstructed since they're untweakable. The question is, how many is "some?"
