Can someone from BioWare at least bother to respond? I need to know whether or not I'm canceling my pre order.

Which is exactly why they won't respond.

DING! Exactly right. This is why you won't see ANY reaction to known glitches, plot holes, or anything at all to do with the ending until AFTER launch day.

Can't risk hurting those launch day sales numbers!

I'll shove their launch day sales numbers up their noses. Is it really that hard to take 5 seconds to post "Yes" or "No" ?

uh...whats the appeal of importing a ME1 face to ME3? You should have imported the ME1 face to ME2 anyway. And then that transfers to ME3. So whats the big deal?

Why would people be upset about this??? Are there people who didnt play ME2, but played ME1, and want to play ME3? O.o that doesnt make any sense.

Read a little more.  If you transfer an ME1 face into ME2, and then try to transfer that ME2 file into ME3 the face won't transfer.  It will only transfer if you rebuilt Shepard's face in ME2 or started in ME2

No. Some people used the imported face from ME1 in their ME2 game. Apparently that face, the ME1->ME2 one, will not be imported into ME3.

ETA: This was addressed in the OP: "Please note: We're not talking about taking a ME1 save into 3. The people was having problems importing their Shepards, who was created in Mass Effect 1 and imported into 2. "

It could also be that it's Sunday and they're enjoying their days off. Historically, there's very rarely any dev activity over the weekends.

We can NOT let Bioware get comfy. If this is out of the first page, "out of sight, out of mind" might come into effect.

Well, this sucks. I have several ME1 files, all with custom Shepards.

I can understand it being the weekend and maybe their missing it since their are so many threads on here but it would still be great to some answers on this. I didnt change my main shepard when I imported to 2 because I like the look she had. Really hoping we can get some kind of dev answer on this before the launch. Seems weird to me that they would miss something this important.

oh wow really? that doesnt make any sense. what the heck. O.o this shouldnt even be up for debate. All faces should be able to transfer from ME2!

that just seems silly. They gotta fix this.

It IS possible to get an accurate femshep in me3, you just have to use that workarround.  Hopefully bioware patches the game.  :(

Really? I can't import my shep's face if I went ME1--->ME2--->ME3? That kind of sucks. And seems kind of odd. Why can going from one to three work but not going from one, two and then three?

I really hope this is not the case. I have a lot of PC's that were straight imports. This seems like something so absolutely central to the Mass Effect experience - I can't believe it wouldn't work.

Maybe the fix is in the day one patch?

My guess is that it is. If not, I would imagine a bug like this would be at the very, very top of their "to fix" list. If it doesn't get fixed or even addressed, I .... well I just can't see that happening, honestly. It's a bug and I doubt they would have the gall to pass it off as a "feature" or something that they did on purpose =)

It'd just be nice if Bioware would comment on this =/ I'm probably not going to start the game if my ME1 face doesn't transfer. I'll wait for a fix, even though I'd hate to wait longer to play!

THIS WILL GET YOU THE RIGHT FACE  just 3 simple quick steps, plus a 4th if you REALLY want to make sure you get the right nose.

This will let you get your import. The only thing that doesnt import is the nose shape (the rest of the nose imports fine) and easy to set **** like colors, complexion, and hair style.

If you want to tweak your code to be PERFECT just import your me1 shep, paste the code you got from the site into the custom appearance, tweak it until it matches perfectly (the eye and blush colors won't match exactly) just toggle between IMPORT APPEARANCE and CUSTOM APPEARANCE with the code you got. After you've got it matching perfectly you can just copy THAT code and put it into me3. Its possible its just that bioware needs to actually adjust the formula to do it right. just look at THIS POST for proof that IT CAN BE DONE. :)

So now you've been ignoring us for 6 days, Bioware. Nice work! And congratulations on the pre-order numbers by the way! I'm sure many of these people will be happily surprised tomorrow, when the game fails to import the Shepard they've been using for years :D Again, nice work.

Thats why its important to spread THIS LINK as much as you can. not only will it help people but maybe it can help get that patch into the game in some roundabout way.
