@ratzerman He is not even answering the question. That's a bit fishy.
You can't import a face created in Mass Effect 1 into 3! Bioware has responded! (See OP)

@njfritz yes, good point. If that occurs, you will be asked to rebuild the face.
here we go.
Great, but lets not try to get that fixed before the game releases or anything. I mean, that would be a waste of resources and divert BioWare from...doing...whatever they're doing right now.

We're just as eager for Me3 to be as good as possible as the development team. Until we know for certain of a patch (or lack of), try not to cast dispersions as quick without 100% facts.

Then maybe Bioware should give us the facts
We just have a question.
If your face is unchanged from ME1 and you import, what are the chances of having to reconstruct your Shepard's face?
Is it all Shepards or just "some"?

At this point it is really just their fault for not reacting on this issue. A little comment here would have been sufficient, but by now it's only embarassing. If they want to give their fans the impression they treat the final game of what was supposed to be an epic trilogy with about the same care as the infamous Deception novel, well, that's their choice. I don't understand it, but I'm not really trying to anymore.

Sorry but I am going to flame BioWare's QA division. Unless someone specifically states this is being patched at this very moment, a bunch of people did not do their jobs or, some QA middle manager somewhere did not think that having to recreate a five year old face that you built in the original game would be that big a deal.
Both rationalizations indicate to me that their QA department is wildly out of touch with the expectations of the fanbase. Both rationalizations indicate to me that their QA department is inept.
This isn't a small, hard to spot bug that only comes up in one of one thousand hardware/software/driver combonation issues. This should have been dead easy to spot simply by running an importation straight through all three games to ensure the chargen import worked.
So it was spotted, theres no way it wasn't spotted, and someone decided it wasn't critical enough to fix.

Does this guy even know how ME2 works? If you accept a directly imported face, you can't "adjust or touch up". It just goes straight to class selection.

I know.
I seriously don't understand Bioware anymore.

Thanks Bioware. I'll get over it. I just hope you decide to try and patch this one day. ME3 looks super cool and this import issue is the ONLY problem I have with the game. I'm even ok with the amount of auto dialogue, the ending, and the animations.

How can I do this in the Xbox 360 version?
I started Mass Effect 2 again yesterday and I have only the option to choose between the imported charakter, standard shepard or a new created.
How can I adjust my face in ME2?

Again, touching up? Someone want to point out where you get that option? Cause I've imported several Shepards in the last couple weeks, it just goes straight to class selection.
If you select "Custom Appearrance" you get a preset chargen morph. Not the imported face.
I cannot believe someone didn't think this was going to be a big deal.
