So how long until an official post in this thread?

75 pages?

100?

300?

500?

Gentlemen take your bets!

This is just the brush fire. BioWare isn't going to address this til it makes it past the BSN and ends up on every gaming news site on the net.

The BSN is just a "small, loud percentage" of their fan base, so they can, effectively, choose to ignore it. But once Kotaku and Gamasutra and other major credible news sources pick up on this.....then BioWare will come up with an answer.

I've already linked this thread off to several journalists I have some association with. We'll see if they think its news or not.

There won't be an official post - that would be picked up by gaming sites and would be news and could impact sales.

Only a few more hours of stonewalling are required at this point.

Yeah I mean they already have our money, so.....why should they care what we think?

Ugh really doubting how much BioWare actually cares about its loyal fans.

Well, it's on GameStar at least:

http://www.gamestar....51,2565430.html

headline: Mass Effect 3 - Import of Mass-Effect-1-faces officialy not possible.

They link to this very thread.

Because you can't import a face into the game? If you couldn't import at all, then that would be a big problem. Not being able to import a face isn't a big deal at all since it's pretty easy to just recreate it.

Not exactly. Since they removed my damn hair.

They don't have mine, and I've already made the decision to buy this used in a week or two or borrow it because of this.

People have been asking an important question, politely, for over a week and they are being intentionally ignored.

Some devs have even responded with cleverly worded replies which on first glance seem to indicate there is no problem but when the words are actually carefully parsed they aren't actually answering the question asked.

I'm only one person but you don't get my business when you behave like that.

"The character creation system in Mass Effect 3 gives players an unparalleled ability to construct their ideal vision of Commander Shepard. While some players might experience difficulty importing their outdated faces into the new system, we are confident that the news options available to them will more than make up for any inconvenience."

Not a real quote, but I bet I'm close.

Good at least the gaming media is starting to pick up on it. Someone will have to answer the question eventually.

Thing is we shouldn't have to. I love this game but this was a feature promised from the begininng and now is ignored...

Here is something interesting to watch for today though:

Does the IGN review mention this?

On the one hand, if they say they didn't know than it looks like an incomplete review.
If they do know and don't report it than the review is definitely not unbiased.
There will be tremendous pressure from EA not to mention this.

I'm interested to see who actually holds the power when these things collide.

What will they do?

Maybe Michael Gamble didn't know about this problem. Maybe he wasn't / isn't on the team working for post launch stuff like patches and additional content and the day one dlc really fixes this issue. But we will find out in about 10minutes when some people from Asia can play it and have the day one dlc installed and report about the imports

I just wanna thank PLC for making this thread and everyone who helped out. The community has really helped each other out with this and the GAME debacle. I hope when we finally get past all this we can enjoy the game as much as possible. ME and ME2 will always exist, at least there's that.

It was never promised that the hair would stay the same. Everything you've done in the games has carried over, you just need to remake the face if you kept everything the same in Mass Effect 1. I understand people being annoyed but the whole "BIOWARE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT LOYAL FANS" nonsense is ridiculous.

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM  NOPE!

I don't want to speak for anyone else, but new options wont even come close to making up for this break in my Shepard's continuity.....

If a big site (Kotaku, IGN, joystiq) picks up the story, we might get a response. But not a fix, obviously.

Keep defending them to death! Dragon Age II was the best game ever right?
