Ugh really doubting how much BioWare actually cares about its loyal fans.
Because you can't import a face into the game? If you couldn't import at all, then that would be a big problem. Not being able to import a face (if that is actually what happens with every copy and isn't an isolated thing), isn't a big deal at all since it's pretty easy to just recreate it.
Not exactly. Since they removed my damn hair.
So, change the hair.
Why not just default to Sheploo and play as "that guy you play in that game."
Because he's white and I'm not.
The import feature was a promised part of the game features, it worked seamlessly in ME2, the fact that its broken in ME3 and no one happened to notice it til now is pathetically inept.
I haven't played the game so I have no idea if all of this is actually true for everyone or not, but even if it is, it's still not a big deal. Maybe it's just my personality to not get caught up with things like this but to endlessly whine about this is crazy to me. If it doesn't work, make a similar-looking character and move on, or don't buy the game.
The game is already bought, two copies to be exact, plus my wifes DDE making three.
I get caught up in this because this was MY Shepard. Not Sheploo. Recreating the face...sure I can do that but its not going to be perfect, its going to have to have a different hairstyle and all of that will be because I had no choice in the matter because someone at BioWare QA didn't do their job.
My Shepard is five years old, trying to rebuild it to perfect exactitude without an immense amount of
NEEDLESS and complex methods of getting slider values out of a Mass Effect 2 save simply takes up time I would be playing the game with had this feature not been pressed to a goddamn CD in a broken state.
Similar is possible, but its still going to be like trying to deal with the third movie of a triology where they replaced the leading actor with a look-alike understudy. It is going to put a small fracture in my immersive continuity, which takes away from the overall experience of spending the last five years playing this game.
