n00B question - does this apply to faces only? I.E.will we retain choices etc when we preload, but just have to rebuild the face? Cheers

Maybe this is the real reason why he suggested players not to import their Shepards for the first playthrough <_<squee365 wrote...

Well seems Chris Priestly is up and about as he just shut down the James Vega thread.
Can we get a lockdown here? Perhaps with a brief explanation that powders our bottoms and gives us our binky?
A lockdown...Yeah that will definitely solve the problem <_<
Well long as it has an answer attached to it, I'm fine with that.
I don't think Chris is coming in.
he ignored my tweet about this thread,
and he ignored my pm.
Yeah.

It's not that nobody at Bioware noticed this. It's much worse than that.
They knew about it, and decided not to fix it. Have we fallen into an alternate dimension, or something? Are we dealing with Bizarro Bioware?
But here is the thing there are some people would take much longer and would have alot more issues. Another problem is that there are some features that are just not in ME2 CC. (There are a few eye colors for example, my one ME1 Femshep has very light teal green eyes while the CC in ME2 has a darker teal green)Ultenth wrote...
Just spent the last 10 minutes on my Xbox fiddling with character creation in ME2. Loaded up the import, imported my ME1 Face, and went back and forth between the custom apperance and the window where you choose between the imported, default, or new custom appearance. After about 10 minutes got my default looking exactly like my original import, wrote down the face code, and am ready for ME3 should I encounter this problem.
Granted I should not have to do this anyway, but now the problem (for me) is solved and I don't have to worry about it anymore. I encourage others to do something similar instead of just complaining, yeah, it sucks, yeah, they should patch it and it shouldn't have gotten past QA anyway, but there is a solution, just takes 10 minutes.

Yeah.
I remember that absolutely absurd statement he made. "Dur HUR .... play through with no import first so you can see how much variety and impact your choices have."
WHY ?????????????? ............ Logically speaking we could see the same thing if we do multiple playthroughs, which most of everyone has done anyways.
Of course it's the real reason he suggested it.
Can't hurt those first day sales figures!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That is a big assumption. People have said this multiple times but there is no way to prove if this is true or false unless you were directly working on ME3. My guess is that no one actually tested transfering a Shepard from ME1 to ME2 to ME3 and if they did they may have done it from just ME2 to ME3 on the PS3.ratzerman wrote...

WAT.
This is an interesting development.
@miracleofsound Did you import a Shepard made in ME1? If so did you have to re-do your face? A lot of people are having problems

@njfritz You can import it then edit it if you like. I had no problems
So in 2+ years of development and testing, millions of combined man hours, not a single person made sure that face importing worked?Genshie wrote...
