It is not impossible stop exaggerating. People make mistakes. It is highly possible that they didn't simply think of importing a Shepard all the way from ME1 to ME3. They probably just imported a ME2 created Shepard to ME3. Alot of you people are just so quick to blame others and before you can even touch the game itself.

Why should we wait to get the game to start complaining? We know now that this is 100% true. And it is impossible that they didn't notice this. If it wasn't deliberate then they would have said "Oops our bad, we are working on a fix." Instead they refuse to comment on the situation because they don't feel like something that they decided on deliberately is worth arguing about.

Oh I don't know... Maybe the reason they haven't said anything is because they ARE TRYING TO FIX IT RIGHT NOW for all we know. Image IPB And no we don't know if it is 100% on purpose. That is a huge exaggeration.

How do you KNOW they are trying to fix it right now? Has there been an official announcement? How do we know that this was even a mistake? We don't, so stop trying to defend this, there is nothing left to defend.

What do you mean? So you want me to rage like every body else here instead of trying to stay calm and think of postive reasons and solutions? I am guessing like you are guessing.  No one really knows and like I said I am just trying to stay postive. Most people here are not.

What are you even saying!? We, both of us, are the ones guessing, except I'm not the one acting like I have all the answers.

Do I want you to rage? No I want you to stop defending this like you know whats going on over at Bioware HQ.

It takes a lot of effort to churn the hype machine, the whole office is currently busy on Twitter/Facebook and Youtube ensuring that everyone knows that ME3 is launching.

I mean what else would they be doing? Its not like they're managing the server IT for this, EA is.

Hell for all we know they might all have the day off.

Yeah, even though mods are apparently directing people to this thread. Here, look at 80+ of people freaking out. That should clear things up.

Genshie wrote...

Its an easy mistake to make I think so anyway. Some testers probably didn't even think of importing and their main focus was probably on the rest of the game making sure it runs right. Remember I am just saying what could be the reason. I am staying possitive instead of running around screaming and raging since that gets people no wear. They know of the issue by now. Mods wouldn't be telling others to come here if they didn't.

You know, just hypothetically.

If I was a project lead on this project.

And I was trying to fix this right now, the very first thing I'd have done, after ensuring I had a IV drip of coffee set up, would have been to communicate to the community management team that I, the lead developer of the stupid fun club, am aware of this issue and am currently investigating its cause.

And then after several hours of having caffeine pumped into my veins intravenously I'd have probably informed the community management team that I had found the issue and asked them to communicate whether I could address this with a day one patch or not.

And then I'd get to work on fixing the problem, but I would not leave the customer base out of the loop.

Why do I say this? Cause its what I do for a living, and I can't afford to ignore my clients and players. Maybe if EA was backing my company, me and my core team wouldn't have to care so much.

Short answer to this they aren't you. Maybe they can't mention it yet, maybe they are currently doing something else, maybe no one is actually there at the moment (since tonight is the official release date and all).

And that's the thing right there. You do not leave customers out of the loop like this. that is a no-no. They just get more and more skittish.

EA itself should know better. That's customer service 101.

When you are a part of a big production/publisher/delevoper/whatever company then you can decide how things are done.  Maybe they are currently in the process of doing this and just haven't got to the point where they are satisfied that their costumers would be satisfied with their results/answers to their problems.

It is a shame they've not even responded with a "we're looking into this."

Even if the problem can't be fixed people like to know their concerns are being heard.

Word of mouth is still the most powerful marketing tool going, even more so in the age of the internet.

Bioware is too busy alienating European and Asian Game owners currently by locking them out of the forums, to respond to this issue - it is ALL about customer Service - but hey they hope you can make one of their launch parties!

Edit: Hey dude, also I just said what you said in your post ^

But this is Bioware were talking about so all that flies out the window. They ban anyone who doesn't adhere to the nonsense that they go on about everyday about "we are here to serve our customers".

If anyone from Bioware is reading this, I'm not going to lose my cool if this is a legitimate problem. Every game has bugs, and there are fixes. I just want it acknowledged so I can get codes and pics prepared for the big day and start off ME3 on the right foot.

That's all I want right now: some closure on the extent of this problem.

As far as I know no one knows what the patch fixes at the moment.

Yep that is really all you can do at the moment and keep posting in this thread in hopes that someone from Bioware responds to this issue.

I haven't seen conclusive evidence of it's existence other than hearsay. There's nothing validating it's possibility other than some brief bullet point on a German website positing so.

It doesn't fix this issue because people playing right now are having import problems and the "day one patch" was in the preload to all veritable information we have.

Tomorrow shall hopefully bear fruit on this matter.
