Would those who just got their ME3 copies try installing the patch, please?

I'm kind of shocked how this got through. Didn't they just talk about how they had a month where all they did was make the Prothean DLC? How about spending a month making sure face importation actually works when the game launches. Massively disappointed, not how I wanted to start this game.

If this happens to me I do have one Sheploo career on hand that I can use but he is not my canon. I might use my Sheploo save until bioware gets this fixed, that is if they get this fixed.

Yeah, so what gives?

I'm not gonna play this game(and I'm sitting here so anxious with my copy up and running in my 360) if I can't use my ME1 face that I brought in through the whole series.

This is absolutely ridiculous.

Nope, didn't work, I still have a latino dock worker.

Edit: Wait there's more updates, hang on.

Edit2: Nope, still a ****ing latino dock worker with cheesy facial hair and messed up nose.

Hey, at least they can get their saves.

I can't even import my latest ME2 save into ME3 (Xbox 360)

This is worse than when I found out there wasn't a helmet toggle for preorder armors in ME2.

Same here, sitting with a beer in my hand and was so anxious to get the game running. Now I don't know what to do.

I tried to make one look like my shep but he's missing his scar on his chin and eyebrows are all whacked out n stuff. Image IPB

The helmet toggle thing is nothing in comparison to this.  That was something I could overlook, this isn't.

VASTLY worse.  We have to look at our Sheps' faces for like half the damn game.

I actually booted up ME2 to try to get the facial code off my main Shep only to find it wasn't there anymore. Talk about a waste of time and effort.

I've read mostly every thread. Picked up my preorder from Gamestop less than an hour ago and I too could not import my Shepard from ME2. Pretty damn sad. I'm not continuing till there is a fix.

Has anybody tried that USB fix?

I want an exact match and I know those face codes aren't nearly exact as the head morph import was.

Uh...can't you guys go copy down your ME2 facial codes and type them into the ME3 generator? It's more work than should be required but it gets you to the same place eventually.

I'm okay with it. If they could have done it they would have. Plus I've gotten pretty close to his face, so yeah it's all good.

"Mass Effect 3 cannot succesfully determine the custom face codes used by this imported save game. Please update your character's appearance."

Bioware, why do you punish the most loyal fans and take from them the sense of continuity?:

Some faces imported from ME1 to ME2 DO NOT have face codes.

To the people trying the patch on PC: It appears to be busted. It's checked for updates and attempted to install the same patch 3 times now. It says it's successful, but checking again results in it downloading the patch again.

Normally I'd tell people to be patient waiting on a response, but this is a deal breaker.

What the hell.

Another note, sorry for multiple responses I'm trying things. It only has to re-download the patch if you attempt to launch the game afterward. It then also has to do another release date check. So my assumption is that the two things are interfering with each other and not playing nice.

****ing tell me about it, you have DAY ONE DLC of a ****ing Sebastian crew member that ruins a race I won't name for the sake of spoilers but I feel is going to burst into the chorus of a certain Little Mermaid song "UNDAHHH DAH SEAAAAA, UNDAH DAH SEAAAAA" which you "lolguysfinishedearly" but your ****ing imports from people who ****ing got you here by supporting the first game DO NOT WORK?

How did this even get through testing? HOW?

Can anyone confirm if the default female eyes of ME1 and 2 are in ME3 again? Or am I one of the only people who has noticed how the new default eyes are really different?

They aren't the smooth ovals they used to be, the eye lashes are too thick underneath the eyelids, and too lacking above them, and the eye makeup is now gone. These all sound like small things, but they stick out like a sore thumb in the game. I hate it. My femshep had the same face in 1 and 2 so I don't get how this could happen.
