You're being surprisingly calm about this Admiral. ._.

Yes, and?

I've known about these endings for, like, a month.  Some details aren't meshing with what I read, though, so I'm willing to bet that the folks who played it got it wrong.

Seriously, though, if the Relays go kaboom no matter what, then I'll be nuking the Reapers every time.  The only reason I considered controlling them instead was because it would preserve the Relay network, and thus preserve the current civilization.

Well, for starts the script was really about ambigious about Shepard living or not, plus there wasn't that information about the whole 'Normandy and crew/squad/LI' getting stranded on an unknown world...

We were also kinda making bets on the Spoiler Groups on how bad your reaction would be. >_> <_< >_>

I don't know about that, the guys who played said the epilogue speech is the same for all endings...
Not sure if it's true.

I'd like a link to that, if you don't mind.

Because the epilogue speech being the same for all endings doesn't make any bloody sense whatsoever, since the endings have completely different results.

I mean, if the Synergy ending gets the same epilogue as the Destruction ending, that's gotta be a glitch.

Perhaps the same thing with the flashbacks. I hope things will turn out differently too.

Why would I be upset at an ending that allows for hope?  Besides, my space husbando totally lives, so whatevs.

You should know by now that I only really get wangsty over racism/sexism/other social issues.

Argh, I was hoping for endings where we could actually play post-ending and roam around in the Normandy and chillin'....*sigh*

I so hyped about whats going to happen at BSN once this comes out.....will definitely get to see some pretty interesting posts...people tearing each other apart...spams...nerd rages...name calling....locked threads...this will be a nice piece of hell to come and visit.... :P

Though in all honesty I really feel sad for the moderators around here...the next month is really going to be hard for those poor souls....

For the rest of us who by now know the endings though it's going to be a blast :D

Just because the relays are gone doesn't mean everyone is back to sticks and stone age. There is still technology and FTL.. It will just take hundreds and thousands of years to travel to different systems.

As does mine, I'm just not sure when he decided to transition to a female Asari but hey, I'm open minded about these sorta things.

If you're a quarian or a turian stranded on a world where they don't grow your food, you'll probably starve.

If you live on a world whose economy is built around interstellar export (for instance Terra Nova) your economy will likely crash. Say hello to a great depression.

If you happened to be travelling out of your system when the relays blow, congrats on never seeing your family again.

If you're working on a world with a hostile environment, say Therum or deep space eezo mining, good luck living there for the rest of your life.

If you're in a system with limited eezo reserves, say goodbye to most spaceflight and flying cars.

And if you're living on a world invaded by Reapers, say Palaven or Earth, good luck rebuilding without any international aid, hope you can do that before the Reaper eezo cores poison your environment.

All this from some guy who is supposed to have played the Space Addition - which only happened the weekend - either this guy is full of it or can pay an entire ME3 in a few days? While still eating, sleeping and either going to work or university - this guy has to be the smartest and quickest player on the planet - then find time to leak the ending as well? That's a little much to swallow considering then replaying ALL six or seven endings exploring new choices all through the game each time to see exactly what each ending is with what choices? Something doesn't smell right here!

Without reading the spoilers I can say one thing:
Let's get back to it once we are actually through the game.
I mean, if we look at a quick text summary of the endings of ME1 or ME2, they seem really shallow, but in reality they both played out pretty well. Amazing, one might say.
So let's judge the ending when we are actually there.

I am meta-gaming my happy ending.

I go through the perfect ending where Shepard destroys the reapers and survives but destroys the relays. But in my mind it continues from there. With the entire military of every race above earth along with some of the greatest minds, the races work together to form a new FTL system: http://www.popsci.co...6-05/warp-drive

This takes several years, but with everyone working together they did it. They use the star charts on their ships to go to every inhabited system in order to bring this technology to everyone. The Normandy will eventually be found by scouts using FTL.

In the epilogue the child asking about Shepard and the stars is enthusiastic because thanks to the new warp technology, the galaxy has drastically expanded its exploration of the galaxy making it the dream of every child to go out and explore the galaxy.

You cannot crush my spirit, Bioware.

When I think about it, as long as My Shep survives, I can live with any ending.
I know, I'm shortsighted and selfish.

My question is:

***SPOILERS?***

if the galaxy is thrust back into the dark ages as some people are implying, what kind of sequel can BW/EA have for ME?
ME is supposed to be Sci-Fi, but without the tech it becomes what? A fantasy RPG with swords and spells?
I'm not sure i would care for an ME universe without the Sci-Fi aspects...Kinda like Star Wars without lightsabers.
Just my opinion...

I don't think the galaxy is thrust into the dark ages so-to-speak.  It is rumored that the Mass Relays are destroyed or otherwise shutdown.  Even with FTL drives it would take an exceptional amount of time to get from one end of the galaxy to another.  I'm sure ME ships still exist but without Mass Relays even those are limited.

Edit: And all of this has to assume that all the rumors of "leaks" are true.   I'm "concerned" at best right now but I'll reserve judgement until I play it.

i read in the scipt along time ago that if the player had a perfect game shepard can merge him/herself into whats controling the reapers and make them leave thus probably sparing the mass relays. it dint say if shepard survived it and walked away as a reaper god or something like that

The same. If I see that Bioware can't work correctly on one ending where shepard remain alive, I'm definitely going with something from my imagination. It will be the first time since I play their games.

With so many different thoughts and ideas on it. Is this 100% confirmed?

I'm not trying to jump to Bioware's defence, neither am I trying to bash them and I haven't read the leaked script but is this true or is it speculation based on one persons playthrough of the space edition?

Until we/I see for ourselves in-game or on Youtube, it's not 100% confirmed. No matter how many sources say otherwise.

When we do actually see it, then yeah, only blind people will be able to deny it then.

I dunno if this has been answered already but does anyone know about the ending in which the crew gets stranded on a planet or something at the end of the game? Just read that online and that totally sounded like bullpoopy.
