I was running around with a Salarian Infiltrator when I was awarded a kill, unexpectedly, and I'm pretty sure it wasn't a latent proximity mine.  In the kill feed it was recorded as "Jrubal1462 >> Tech Blast  >> Some guy.  Did they add a technical analog to the warp-splosion? Enemies kinda' sparkle for a few seconds after getting with energy drain or the heavy melee, but I don't know.... Anybody notice anything like this at all?

If you use energy drain and then somebody hits them with biotics it causes a tech burst. Overload and disruptor ammo cause tech bursts too.

Cryo > Incinerate also tech bursts.

Aha!  That also explains why the search revealed no threads discussing a tech blast. I was thinking, "there's no way this hasn't been discussed before" I suppose there IS a way, because apparently I just made it up. Thanks

Quick question similar to this: How do you get the killstreak medal? I've gotten it a couple times but still have no idea why.

It seems to ONLY appear during collateral damage using the Cobra Missiles (usually involving the death of an ATLAS and any supporting troops...) Never been able to obtain one using normal gunsthough...

I got one when I wasn't even shooting though..? It just popped up while i was walking. I beleive the whole team got it as well, because right as I got it in harmony I heard "WutsAKillstreak?" lol

I've gotten it with a regular gun. It's something to do with killing X amount of enemies in Y amount of time. The values of X and Y I don't know.

I was surprised that there was no medal for getting 2-fers, or 3-fers with the widow.
Unless that's what the killstreak medal is for? though I've not noticed a correlation.

I even managed to 2-fer two guardians yesterday (from the side, not through both their shields!)

Well its nice to know it is possible with normal guns... I do remember getting the Killstreak Achieve on Bronze with a nicely time Biotic Charge...
